Perfect Edge Knife Sharpening is a mobile knife sharpening service catering not only to fine dining restaurants such as Château Marmont, Cecconis, Jar, Tender Greens, San Gabriel CC, Hillcrest CC, The Pacific Club, but also places like Koontz Hardware, Surfas Culver City, Surfas Costa Mesa, Billings Hardware Long Beach as well as on site home sharpening.

Perfect Edge also carries high end Japanese knives and kitchen toys in our mobile work shop.

We were recently named The Best Knife Sharpener in Los Angeles according to Los Angeles Magazine’s annual Best of LA issue and interviewed on KTLA 5.

History

Established in 2003.

My wife and I started this business in Long Beach California in 2003 after many years in the food service business selling knives, small wares and equipment as a Manufacturers Representative and working for many years in restaurants from the front of the house to the back.

We saw a great need for knife sharpening at a new level with state of the art equipment manufactured by an expert in the field in Northern California who continues to advance this sharpening equipment. His goal is to keep making it better. We strive to continue our education with trips to see the expert working closely to hone our skills as a craftsman as well as trips to Japan to learn more about knives and knife sharpening.

We look forward to restoring, re-​serrating and sharpening your knives at one of our retail sharpening sites, at your business or home.

Most of my adult work life has been in restaurants which is also the case with my father.

My goal is to see a smile on a knife owners face when i give a knife that I just sharpened back to its owner.

I also strive to get better and better at my trade and be referred to as a craftsman that is the best at knife sharpening they have ever experienced.
