Second appointment in a row over 45 minute wait… He’s semi thorough but, super old school. I am moving on to a new primary.

I’ve been going to Dr. Koseff for the past 4 years. He has been very attentive and his staff as well. Always takes time to review my health history & inquire on any concerns.

Felt like a waste of my time, waited an hour and 45 minutes for a ten minute visit from the doctor who seemed quite uninterested. He ran blood tests and I got a letter in the mail a week later that had a box checked saying «blood tests are normal». No phone call, nothing describing levels checked or the couple of items I was concerned with. Currently getting the blood tests results myself and deciphering them. So what is the point of going to a doctor?

I have been here waiting for an hour after my appointment time and still havent been seen. Will not be coming back!

I’m still waiting for the bad reviews of Dr. Koseff to materialize. Thanks to Obama I was forced to change Doctors! Today was my fifth routine visit to Dr. Koseff and I’ve had nothing but perfect visits. He takes the time, understands concerns and cares. Never waited too long, never felt rushed. Some people just need to take a breath, relax.

I’ve been going here for about 3 years and the staff has always been very personable and nice, however every time I go, I show up early, and even then I’m never out in under an 1 hour and a half. The wait takes forever, and when I went in for a sore throat, Koseff never even touched my neck, he didn’t check for swollen glands and just wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. I prefer Dr. Green.

Not only did Dr. Koseff have the WORST bed side manner, he was also not interested in my medical history and was very judgmental. I exercise regularly… do yoga and pilates to relieve the back pain I have had for over 10 years. I am not overweight and have a healthy diet. He implies that I am not taking care of myself and chronic back pain ‘is just something that happens as you get older and there is nothing you can do about it.’ This is pre– xray mind you. He spent less than 5 minutes talking to me, gave me a slip to get an x-​ray. I go to the lab with the form a couple days later, wait 45 minutes to find out that he never signed the request & spelled my name incorrectly. Now I have to go back to the lab and wait in line once again after he faxes a new form to the lab. I went to him hoping he would be my new primary care physician but obviously it was a waste of my time.

I went to Dr. Koseff after a recommendation by a good friend who reported great rapport. I had been struggling with recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, and Dr. Koseff’s strengths became apparent. His compassion and holistic approach to well-​being was apparent immediately to me, and I sometimes wondered why he didn’t go into psychology as a therapist. As a family physician/​internist he does his job well; treating and referrals to specialists. He was familiar with my risk group and ordered labs/​tests for prevention/​detection and treatment. I left Long Beach a healthy man largely in part to «The Power of Now» Perry! thank you doc.

I tried to give Dr. Koseff the benefit of the doubt, but after such unbelievably incompetent service, I am left with no alternative but to seek a new doctor and report this quack to the medical board.
I saw Dr. Koseff for what he diagnosed as bronchitis. Two weeks, 4 appointments, and 5 prescriptions later, I am still sick. I won’t bore you with all the details, but here are the lowlights:
Waiting time of 45 to 90 minutes at EVERY appointment
Office staff and nurses who BARELY do their jobs (i.e. read magazines on the job, have their kid in the waiting room every day, don’t return phone calls, etc.).
Lack of thorough care or follow-​through by the doctor, regarding my condition and prescriptions
Messy office space, hallways, desks, and random medical equipment left in exam rooms
Repeated attempts to misdiagnose my inability to breathe, hoarse voice, and extreme congestion as «sleep apnea»
To sum it all up, this entire office is so ridiculously unprofessional; there is no way I can continue to jeopardize my health by going there. This is the worst medical care I’ve ever experienced.

Yes, you do wait to see the doctor, but IMHO he’s worth the wait. Always listening, and this is your health, so don’t just go in and whine you need some drugs. He’s been great with me

Dr. Koseff has made me wait at least 45 minutes every time I have been there. He can not do simple procedures in office. I had to go to three different offices, one for a blood test, one for an xray, another for a shot. There was nothing that he could actually do in his office. On my follow up up appiontment he asked“why are you here?” I said «Goodbye» Never again.

I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Dr. Koseff.
I’ve now been to him twice. The only reason I went to see him a second time was because I needed help immediately and the other two doctors I called were on vacation.
I’ve experienced fairly bad backpain for a long time, and finally went to see a doctor to see what the next step in treatment would be. Dr. Koseff spent all of two minutes with me, didn’t listen to a word I said, and prescribed me a something to the effect of Aleve. I was so upset, I cried in my car afterwards. I spent money for that?
The second time, I was there for what I would find out to be a sinus infection. Again, I was with him for about two minutes. He does not listen, does not treat you like a person. He left the room in such a hurry I just sat there, not sure if I was done or if someone was coming to give me some direction on what to do. He didn’t explain the medications, whether to take a full dose or not. He said he’d give me a doctors note for work, but didn’t. There was no time, care, or direction in his treatment.
If you have the time, take your time in choosing a doctor, and if at all possible, don’t go to Dr. Koseff.

This was honestly thee worst doctors experience I ever had! Each appointment I had to wait an extra hour just so they can say its something they don’t handle there. They have to out source everything. I feel he didn’t take me serious. Not to mention the staff is very rude! If your under the age of 50 don’t bother! Huge waste of time!

This is my doctor now and forever. he got me right with everything from my mental health and my dabble with type 2 diabetes. curved my wories about feeling sick all the time. Allergies! thats all. i lost weight and now i feel like living and doing and loving my wife too. thank you Dr koseff. thanks for all your through work and thanks for helping my wife with her back and her adult chickenpox.

Dr. Koseff is a nice guy but often over books himself and we end waiting for a least 45 minutes every visit, even when we have scheduled a visit in advance. Last year he gave me a an antibiotic that made me very sick and then the next year when I had a sinus infection he gave it to me again, he didn’t write it down that the specific antibiotic had given me severe stomach pain and I got sick again. I just don’t feel like his care is really up to the standards I feel my regular doctor should be and have started looking elsewhere for care!

Dr. Koseff is great and spends a lot of time with his patients. The front desk is courteous and organized. The wait is a little long at times, but I’ll trade that for the level of care I receive.

I honestly think I was born sick and have been to so many doctors in my lifetime that it’s honestly easy for me to get a good feel/​vibe from a doctor. In many cases you’re just a «number» NOT a «patient» they give you some meds/​anti-​biotics and call it a day… what do they care right they are getting a paycheck anyway.
Well in this case I had read about another Doctor in the office, and Dr Koseff had an opening within the next hour, I was super sick that day so decided to go in right away. I waited longer than expected but the wait was definitely worth it, he tried to figure out what EXACTLY was wrong with me and took his time in the visit… he suggested I go in for some other studies with something completely different I didn’t even go in for. He gave me anti-​biotics, a nasal spray, some free birth control, and some cream for a rash he noticed on my arm. Honestly not many doctors do all this at once. I was very happy and would’ve given 5 stars hence the long wait.
Friendly staff, convenient parking, clean office, helpful and most importatnly they actually make you feel like they genuinely care.

It was my first time seeing Dr. Koseff yesterday to check on a dry cough that’s been lingering for a few days. A friend had recommended this medical group as she sees Dr. Green. I am in need of a family practitioner so I thought I’d give them a try.
The front desk was very courteous and they were able to get me in the same day I called with Dr. Koseff!
The wait was much longer than I anticipated. I had to wait an hour until Dr. Koseff finally saw me. He apologized for the wait and said that there were a lot of sick people that day! He was kind and asked me what my concerns were, went over my medical history, perform the exam and diagnosed my ailments and prescribed medicine. We then talked about healthy lifestyle which we will continue on my next follow up visit.
I really give them 3.5 half stars for service but due to the long wait, 3 stars. I will update after my next visit.

Dr. Koseff is a great doctor if you have run-​of-​the-​mill illnesses. However, I’ve been struggling with a variety of symptoms under his care for a year and he is unable to offer any diagnosis because he said all of my tests, tests which he admitted are often wrong, are normal. I am in my 20s and he said it was probably the aging process and said he had no other answers for me. It is unsatisfactory to have a doctor be so reliant on tests and unwilling to try to diagnose clear symptoms that could have a range of likely causes. He was nice enough to refer me to whatever specialists I want, but as a doctor he has seriously lacked the ability to do what a simple WebMD symptom checker would do… to go through possible illnesses and try to see what lines up with my symptoms. For all other everyday illnesses he has been fine… but if you have anything complicated go elsewhere.

Dr. Perry Koseff is by far the best physician I’ve ever had. Dr. Koseff really takes time to get to know his patients. He has always given me great advice and he has encouraged me to become more engaged in my own well-​being and leading a healthier life style. This doctor will not just write you a perscription and send you on your way. He will assist you in making a plan to lead a healthier life.
As of the date of this review, Dr. Koseff is accepting cash patients. I paid $ 79 for my first visit and only $ 69 for every subsequent visit.
