Peter Chai – State Farm Insurance Agent

My apologies if this review is too long but this needs to be posted for you all to read.
I have had and dealt with numerous auto insurance companies and have visited many of their offices. But never have I experienced anything like State Farm and in particular, Peter Chai’s office. Going into the building, you just felt this positive atmosphere and a welcoming environment from all the employees. A simple greeting like, «Hello, how are you doing today & how may I assist you» goes a long way and that is some, not all, insurance companies don’t usually do in my past experiences. I had the pleasure of speaking to Jiena. She helped me find the right policy for my family and I. A couple things that stuck out to me was her upbeat and charismatic vibe. She made me feel very comfortable and made things very transparent so I did not feel like I was getting cheated into purchasing the wrong policy or buying nonsense policies that I did not need. She was very knowledgable and like I mentioned, very transparent in what State Farm had to offer and that definitely made things very easy for me.
So to conclude my review, this business has the friendliest staff and in particular, Jiena. Her knowledge, transparency and outgoing attitude definitely help maximize my experience with State Farm and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Peter Chai State Farm offers superior service. Friendly, professional service from a knowledgeable agent. Khristeen is extremely helpful, never knew buying a life insurance could be so easy! The agents at this location are especially knowledgeable about every insurance plan they offer and patient answering any and all questions I had. I specifically spoke with Jiena S. and her delivery of answers to my questions were confident and very detailed. I feel comfortable insuring my family with this specific location because any time I call every employee there has taken the time to make sure all my concerns were addressed. Highly recommend this location to handle all insurance needs.

Wasn’t really expecting much, just needed basic auto coverage but Jiena was so funny! It never feels like a boring phone conversation with her. I call every month to pay and she treats me the same way every time! I think I kind of love her… LOL!!! She’s for sure my go-​to person when it comes to my insurance! I’ve been with this office for a while. So if you call, ask for Jiena!

I have yet to have a problem with state Farm. They make sure all your needs are met at their expense. They conduct and handle their business with professionalism.

I would give ZERO stars if possible. DON’T EVER GO TO PETER CHAI.
First of all he has a handful of teenagers doing all his work while he sits in some secret office in the back doing nothing! This office is so UNPROFESSIONAL and ridiculous I have never had problems with car insurance EVER until this place.
The DMV required me to have an SR22 for three years and if I wasn’t covered under insurance for 1 day it would not only restart for three years but cause a suspension on my license. State Farm FAILED TO SEND my renewed policy to DMV not once not twice not three times but FOUR TIMES. this resulted in a suspension of my license due to no fault of my own each time! And their reason being «Corporate is really backed up right now.» So because corporate was backed up and they were for the entirety of my coverage at State Farm I had a suspended license on my record four times.
So being that I don’t need an SR 22 anymore and there are no points against my license I thought I was safe however these suspensions have COST ME $ 1000s of dollars in new car insurance. I have been trying to clear these suspensions because they are ridiculous and caused by State Farm’s FAILURE to send proof of my insurance each time of renewal and Peter Chai won’t help at all. I have been to the office multiple times for hours. His office assistants DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING and Peter Chai has a serious complex. He began to yell at me telling me I need to take personal responsibility for what has happened. Which is weird because I pay car insurance to keep the DMV updated with my information otherwise I would do it myself. So he started raising his voice so naturally I raised mine. He flipped out saying that he demands respect in his office and I am forbidden to raise my voice in his place of work. Which fine but don’t yell at me then! You get respect when you give respect. He insisted he knew what he was doing and that it was corporates fault and not his but that I couldn’t speak to corporate only he can. But also that he doesn’t have any of my information because only corporate can access my files. So then why am I paying Peter Chai? he is a POINTLESS MIDDLE MAN. He again insisted he was correct and when I showed him proof of his unprofessionalism and inaccuracy of information he flipped his lid and stormed out and never came back to the office until I was gone. So I was left to deal with his teenage office workers who have no idea what they are doing.
Basically it was the run around for two years with them I had my license suspended FOUR times for two days each until they sent DMV proof of my insurance coverage once I demanding corporate send my information. Because they kept telling me they would get to my file when they could they were backed up. Being backed up should have anything to do with sending my insurance coverage to DMV that is your fault not mine and I have gotten a ruined record because of it and they have made no attempts to help resolve this. As these suspensions will stay on my record for THREE YEARS and dramatically effect the cost of insurance with any other carrier.
Being insured by Peter Chai has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE.
I highly advise against his office as non of them are qualified to do their jobs. The whole reason for their existence is completely pointless as they don’t do anything of importance. I could have paid a baby monkey to do a better job at handling my car insurance.

Peter Chai and his team always offer the best service. Keep up the great work guys. Thanks for taking of me and my family during the accidents :)
