I walked in to this barbershop… No greeting at all so I sit with my son. My son pointed out who he will like to get his hair cut by and the barber pointed at the lady so my son had to get his hair cut by the lady for the second time I understand if you don’t cut kids hair but please great and say something how do you want regulars when you don’t even make them feel welcomed. Thanks to the lady my son was happy gave her a $ 10 tip not much but something to let her know I appreciate her not turning my son down. I grew up in the area so all I wanted to do was help out the locals. I guess next time my son can go to the same place his dad… Never turn down a customer… Great customer service is the key…

This place is bad. Avoid it till they figure out if it’s a barber shop or hang out for the barbers and there lackey high school friend. I walked in this place early one day and the guy cutting hair said I was next. 10 minutes later another«homie«of his walks in and sits. After he finishes reminiscing with the guy in chair, «which doesn’t pay» he calls his homie to the chair. I just got up and left at that point. Total wait time 50 mins. Not a good business plan to give away free hair cuts to the local thugs.

The wait is incredibly long sometimes, even when there are only two other people there. The lady doesn’t speak English and the Hispanic guy speaks little Spanish(I speak both. Will never go there again after waiting over 2 hours for the same two people to be finished. Man and son.

I came into Razor barber shop and was seated right away for a haircut. I left 45 minutes later. This is not the place for you if you want a quick in and out haircut. I already knew that because I have been here before. I come because this place is convenient for me because of the location. I just have to decide each time, do I want to sit there for 40 plus minutes and pay $ 13, or drive a little further to pay less and have a quicker haircut? Razor barber shop is located off of PCH between Harbor and Santa Fe. I can see the appeal of this joint. Some guys enjoy the camaraderie, banter, talking, and laughing. They want to sit there for an extended period of time and enjoy good company. I, however, needed to go to work soon and wished it was faster. While I was getting my haircut the staff was talking a lot and joking around with each other. I got somewhat annoyed when they continually discussed where to put a new microwave, and what kind of microwave to buy. The lady cutting my hair stopped several times so that she could discuss this new microwave with the other employees. I feel that part of the reason it took so long was that this lady seemed new, or perhaps less experienced. If I got one of the guys maybe my hair would’ve turned out better. I wish she had gone up a little higher on my fade, but I understand it’s my fault because I didn’t specify. It was an average haircut. If you’re looking for a relaxing, extended haircut, this place is for you, especially if you want to chat and be loud. If you’re in a hurry, go somewhere else.

This is the second time coming here. First time was a funny to see the face of a few men when I a woman walked in. I took a seat and waited. Theres this young light skinned KID who was seated and thought he was a customer until he stood up to put his gear on. The other two men had customers in their seat. I sat and watch as he fiddle w his clippers taking about 10 minutes to plug them in. His fellow employers said to take me next n he turned red smh. He then proceeded to take his time hoping for his employees to finish so they can take me. About 20 min of procrastination another customer came in and he flagged him to his chair to get cut. Fail! Not only was I observing his actions so was the othe barber and told him something. The kid then proceeded w his his regular w a face of embarrassment to his fellow barber. The kind sir who had said something was finished w his regular and kindly ask his next customer if he could wait so he can cut my hair. He did a great job and conversed a conversation w me making it real comfortable for me. He took his time and I was extremely satisfied w my cut. I went back for the 2nd time to get a cut by the same barber who cut my hair the previous time and to my dismay I was told he quit by the kid from before. I asked if he could cut my hair and he pushed me over to a female. He said they tak turns in cutting hair except if his regulars come in smh I asked if she can cut and he said, O yeah! Language barrier w the woman was the first red flag but the kid said he could translate. I aske for a low fade comb over and got a crappy cut. I got a high fade w no comb over. It wasnt styled correctly and hair was clumped w gel. Blah. This will be the last time going here. The light skinned kid needs to mature and handle business professionally. If it wasnt for the first barber who did my cut this place wouldnt receive any stars.

This place always lines my fiancé up really clean. He always gets his fades from Cesar and from what I hear he is a really kool guy and chats it up with you. The cuts run from 10 to 20 dollars depending on what you ask for. They do not make appointments which sucks cause Saturdays you can wait up to an hour. So make sure you go in early!

I just moved to LB so I needed a new barber. I found this place on Unilocal,so I gave it a shot. I went late on a weekday after work. There were 2 guys cutting hair and I only waited for someones haircut to finish before it was my turn. I was very pleased with the haircut. The guy was great with the clippers and the razor edge. He took great attention to detail. Price was great, $ 10+tip. There’s also a TV to keep you entertained while you wait.

The barber gave me a razor cut using a straight edge on the sides, and a sissors on top. I was impressed and my hair looked good. Very reasonable price. Only $ 11(plus a tip).
