The most amazing, relaxing, thorough massage I have ever received and I have gone to several places including the Montage. Yvonne is so knowledgeable about your body and nutrition she’s always so informative and answered all my questions. I highly recommend getting your massages here with Yvonne and waxing.

Yvonne by far has the most consistent experience in massage, waxing, facials. In fact she is the only person I recommend to people that ask.

Two thumbs up for Yvonne!!! Top notch customer service. I waited until the last minute to schedule my Brazilian wax at my normal spa. So when I tried to schedule the appointment they were completely booked. I called 7 other spas and got the same answer: BOOKED! I called Yvonne and she also was not available but called me back later to actually open up the shop after hours and do my Brazilian! Hallelujah! The shop was clean, my experience was super quick and she took care of business! I would not go to any other place but Yvonne. She understands the meaning of customer service.

As a journalist, I have covered skin care for various spa magazines for almost seven years. I’ve had the luxury of experiencing a wide variety of facial and body treatments at spas all over the world. So, this review comes from both a professional and personal place. And, no, I don’t get paid to write positive reviews or receive freebies when I do. I’m a professional with integrity and only post about treatments I truly believe in.
Well, I truly loved the facial that Yvonne gave me this week. It was my first time using microcurrent and stem cells (among other things — a peel, Vitamin C, etc.) and I was surprised to see a noticeable improvement to my skin. She even used the microcurrent on my lips, which gave me a mini-​lip job — without any needles! It’s a great add-​on for a facial.
As someone in her ‘40s, anti-​aging techniques is very important and I plan to continue with the microcurrent/​stem cell concoction that Yvonne cooked up for me once a month. It really is worth the price and a great way to avoid the temptation of cosmetic surgery or fillers. This is a safe, non-​invasive way to stay young.
I look about 10 years younger than I am and it’s due to spending a little money on monthly facials and keeping up with the latest technologies in skincare.

My husband had been in severe pain from a back injury for about a week. The pain was so bad I could just look at him and see the misery on his face. I read the reviews and yesterday I sent him to see Yvonne. Today he is actually able to move around again. He says is he still a little sore but the pain is almost completely gone. Yvonne, I can’t thank you enough for helping to heal my husband’s back. I highly recommend her to anyone who is suffering from a pulled back muscle.

Yvonne is great! I will continue to go here for my waxing and massage! It’s very clean and welcoming. She makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable. I will refer all of my friends.

Great opportunity for travelers in and out of Long Beach Airport. They accommodated me on a Sunday night! Very friendly and took the time to know me. Used sports massage, stretching, and trigger point therapy to soothe and relax. Was in and out before a long flight home. In the future I will make the effort to fly thru long beach just to use their spa!

I had the Arvigo Mayan massage with Yvonne, to say it was wonderful is an understatement. I am a massage junkie, I don’t remember how I found out about Arvigo but as far as I know there are only two places in LA that do it. I chose Resplendent because it’s closer to my home. The other place is in Silver Lake.
I left a voice mail to schedule an appt., my call was returned in a timely manner. The session lasted 2.5 hours. The first 20 minutes were spent going over what I wanted to accomplish and getting to know each other. The last 15 minutes she taught me techniques to do at home and the in between was all massage heaven. Yvonne has a great touch and is very in tune with what my body needed. I will be going back before the end of the month.

It makes me sad to see all the negative reviews on here. I’ve had a couple massages from Yvonne, and they have all been wonderful. My most recent one was yesterday. Sure, the door may be locked when you get there, but honestly if it’s just the two of us, I’d rather it be locked! That’s just being safe. I’ve worked in a small salon before (I’m a licensed esthetician) and when I was alone with a client, I was instructed by management to lock the door. I’m a weenie when it comes to pressure and she made sure to ask me what I preferred, but I could tell she is super strong. Also, she was very respectful of my shoulder injuries and never once made me feel uncomfortable. She literally cracked every single one of my toes. That’s some talent! If I could describe the massage, I would say it’s relaxation with a purpose. Even down to the 30lb infrared amethyst mat under the sheet to aid in detoxification. I’ve never been anywhere that goes that far to aid in what your body really needs. Treat yo self!

My husband and I have relied on Yvonne for massages for 12 years so I decided it was about time to rave about the work she does. No one has ever understood our body types and helped us with various aches & pains better than Yvonne.
Yes, sometimes it takes a while to get in to see her, but that’s because she’s so good; she’s in high demand. Just be patient because once you’ve been on her table you’ll know it was worth the wait.

Amazing. both me and my husband went in today and we had an awesome experience. Loved the Arvigo, massages and techniques done. She taught me how to do them as well and I finally got it. My husband loved it also. He enjoyed every minute of it. We will definitely be doing this again. Yvonne is fantastic! My husband on way back told me where can we review because it was such a Fantastic experience. Yvonne is very nice, gentle and caring and really understands you. Yvonne (Owner) is great on the phone and in person. She is very knowledgeable and she made me feel really comfortable and at ease with her. Shes a very special person. She made our experience one of the best. We come from quite some distance to get this was best!

I got the Arvigo Massage from Yvonne, she is a cheerful fun spirit! after the massage I was super relaxed and I was impressed of how good I felt. So much that I immediately started texting all of my friends to recommend her. My body still feels great and it’s been 5 days since!

I purchased a massage and had the same issues with setting it up. I called a number of times and finally just left a message and they got back to me. Not a big deal.
When I got there everything was great, nice location ect.
The massage was mediocre at best. It was also not an hour. I tipped well (as always) but I won’t be going back here. I was also looking at their prices for other services and was going to get some done. But after the massage I didn’t bother since that was not very great.

For some reason my first review was filtered. I don’t know why but I really want to leave a review for this business that gets seen. Here are the bulletpoints.
— No issue getting an appointment. I called to make an appointment. Call was answered. I was given appointment due to a cancellation.
— Facial was wonderful. Room was clean. Sheila, the esthetician, was terrific. A professional who made my skin look radiant.
— I was not rushed nor was the service.
— I will go back and I would recommend Sheila’s services.
— I used a Groupon voucher without incident.

Meh.
I had a facial with Sheila yesterday. My skin looks great today. But the overall experience was kinda strange. As other reviews mentioned, the door was locked, which seems unnecessary when its 12:50 and you have an appointment at 1pm.
Sheila let me in and said «Well, let me get you all checked in». I assumed this meant the usual paperwork that spas make you fill out so you can tell them you’re allergic to chicken and have hepatitis C. So I waited a few minutes while she shuffled some papers around. Then she says, «can I have your groupon? That’s what I was waiting for». Awkward.
The facial itself was ok, but she left for 5 minutes to take a phone call. Weird. And when we were done, she just flicked on the lights and basically booted me out. Not a great way to end. Maybe I am too demanding and just need to be romanced a little more.
Would I come back? Probably not. Prices here are standard and there’s so many other spas that are way more professional and have a better vibe.
My suggestion: Get a friggin’ receptionist and leave your door open during business hours!
Also, bring cash to tip! They take card, but its a little weird since they don’t have a separate person to handle this kinda stuff.

Bought a massage through Amazon Local. Overall — I will most likely go back. Yvonne was great. Not only did I have a wonderful massage that left me feeling relaxed, but I also felt like I had a therapy session and went home in a much better mood. I like the concept of Massage Therapy.
Now the downside which had me drop one star. It was hard to reach anyone to set up an appointment. I called on 1/​31, but wasn’t able to get an appointment until ²⁄₁₃. Thankfully, they honored my certificate that expired ²⁄₁₂.
I arrived 15 minutes early — wanting to have time to fill out any forms and wind down from my day — but the door was locked. They had a sign that said to wait in the lobby. This was fine, but a bit unsettling for a new client. An employee showed up at my appointment time and let me in. She was friendly and we talked while I waited for Yvonne to arrive. She arrived 15 minutes late and then had to set up the room. Luckily I had no plans for later.
And, the final issue was that I was to receive champagne and chocolate with my massage. I received neither. I also am now remember that I was supposed to receive a $ 20 off certificate for my next visit. My guess is that they will honor that so will have to wait until I book again.
Again — minor negative issues. Yvonne was terrific and I look forward to booking again.
Note: This place has plenty of parking. The building lobby is comfortable and quiet so if you arrive early and have to wait it’s relaxing enough.

Okay, I was skeptical after seeing other reviews, but… Yvonne was fantastic. I scheduled appt based on my living social coupon, and received a 1+hr massage. Yvonne was professional, worked on my sore spots a little extra, and I had a wonderful massage. I am going back, and suggest everyone else «try it» before you judge them.
In their defense, if only one person is working, I want them to lock the door, not answer the phone, and put the sign up saying they are with someone… you would, too!

So I, too, had the LivingSocial deal (bought one for me and one for my boyfriend) and I had a great time. I was serviced by Sheila who had the warmest, most relaxing hands ever. Peppermint scented oil and a full body massage left me soo relaxed. this was an amazing first experience. So here’s the little things you need to know if you also have a voucher:
1.the place is on spring and temple by the ristorante di vinci. Walk right in, straight to the back and its on the right.
2. Its not endless champagne and chocolates. Its one glass, one chocolate.
3. Its a great time.
