This is now the only location that I will get my eyebrows threaded at. I refuse to let anyone but Reva, touch my eyebrows. For years I have been on and off coming here. There seemed to have been a few new ladies threading over the years and many times I left unhappy. I fled to Ziba Beauty after those unhappy visits and later returned to see if things improved. They did. Reva has been here alone several times and each time she has worked on my face, she has left me extremely satisfied. The fact that she is so fast and efficient, but not in a rushing sort of way –even when there’s people waiting, she doesn’t hurry, she takes her time but does it quick and painlessly. She takes a moment to see what she can do regarding your requests or needs. If you ask her to arch or shape your brows, she lets you know what she is capable of doing based on what she has to work with. I tend to grow out my eyebrows and have her reshape and arch them, and she always does a beautiful job. I always want to keep the shape she leaves me with but I forget to tweeze on my own after they start growing back and come running back to her rescue! I am very particular about who touches my eyebrows. I don’t even trust MYSELF with my eyebrows. So far, I only trust my mother and Reva to touch them and it will be a long time until anyone else’s name gets on that list. Additionally, this shop offers other threading services such as full face, lip, back, arm, ect. Along with henna tattoos which seems to have become a popular fashion trend amongst women of all ages. There is only 2 chairs at Reva Brow Shapes and most of the time it’s only one person threading so wait times can be ridiculous or they can be an instant«take a seat, let’s get started!». If you are in dire need of shaping your eyebrows beautifully but have been let down by other threading places, give Reva Brow Shapes a chance. Reva will restore your faith in humanity.

Pretty good. My brows look clean and pretty even-that’s my only comment, I think they could be more even. One is a tiny bit skinnier but considering the last threaded I went to… this is good.

1st timer and loved it! I have been doing my own eyebrows for a while and I butchered them pretty bad. She was super nice and helpful in explaining how to get my eyebrows full and beautiful again. But even so she made them look amazing and you can’t even tell I messed them up. Definitely not going anywhere else :)

Other than the actual owner of this salon, the other workers DONOTKNOW what they are doing. Since it opened i had to come here since it’s close to home. So I have gone and would only let the owner thead my eyebrows. She listened to what I wanted & actually understood my requests. Lately they have these two new ladies who are horrible. As a matter of fact the one with orange hair(looks like she’s asian) shaped my eyebrows after I asked not to shape them. I walked out of there with one chola eyebrow and one even thinner. It takes months to try to correct and grown out an eyebrow, at least for me it did. So bad. To top it off the owner is not at her business often. When i walk by i peer in to see if I happen to see her to let her know. I have yet to see her. You’ve been warned.

Only come here if you cant get to a Ziba. The art of threading is lost on this location. We all know that when your eyebrow threading is done right, it gives you a a mini face lift. You feel fresh. Ummm, that does not happen here. I asked for just a clean up, I don’t ask for arches in mediocre places, bc they will fuck shit up. I have thick brows, they barely did a touch up. My eyebrows are meh… hope they put a Ziba in Long Beach. $ 8 gone down the drain. Ufff!

Shoddy service, overpriced and bad customer service. I went here last minute on a holiday, which justifies the single star I’m compelled to give this place. Other than that, I had all the ingredients from a nightmare threading experience rolled into one service. Having been forewarned about the high pricing, I called and asked for the price of the dull face threading service and was quoted $ 21. Then, after the service provider had threaded half my face, she asked if she wanted me to get the peach fuzz on my jaw and I said yes, that’s part of my face. She says that it’s $ 10 more. I didn’t want to argue with her, so I said that’s fine — just do it. She didn’t even do a good job! There are little hair on my upper lip and above my eyebrow thst could definitely be threaded. I pointed this out and she insisted they are ingrowns. I advised her that they’re not, I could see the end that stuck out of my skin and asked told her«I could show you, I could easily pull these out with a tweezer.» She had the gall to suggest I use her tweezers then! Why would I pay her to borrow her tweezers? I’m not going back there. I’m going to go somewhere else that treats their customers with respect, doesn’t argue with them and change prices halfway through a service.

Came here on a whim and it’s super close to my apartment. …never again. The lady cut me so many times and didn’t even offer toner to prevent an infection. Not going back.

I like this place because they are professional and it is clean. It was my first threading experience and I thought it would be painful but it was so easy.

The lady who did my eyebrows made them uneven and made me bleed in 4 places. Her response: oh, you have sensitive skin! That has never been an issue at the other place I go to. Overpriced as well, probably due to location. Try iSalon on 7th and redondo. That’s my usual place and for $ 4 the ladies will do a better quality job. No bleeding!

Two stars only because their customer service is good. They are friendly and have good conversations with the client but… the first time I went there was because it was the closest. First time was great! I loved my eyebrows and said since this is close I’ll just come here. I took my sister before a concert she had and a different lady did them. Later that night my sister was saying is still stung and I didn’t believe her but then realized it still stung because she had 2 – 3 cuts on each eyelid. So I though eh it was just one time and I went again. The same lady that did my sister’s brows did mine. When I got home I looked in the mirror and noticed… yup! my eyelids also had small cuts on them. I don’t know if it is just that one lady or if it was an accident both times. All i know is I am not going there again!

I always get my eyebrows threaded and I always like it best. This place seems to know what they are doing and appreciate the business. I will continue to come here as not only their service is great, their pricing is very reasonable!

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I wish I had the same great experience that the others on Unilocal seemed to have experienced but it just wasn’t the case. First off I’ve been getting my brows threaded for 14 years. I’ve had them done in a ton of different places both on the east and west coast. I have a fantastic lady near my office in Costa Mesa but live near downtown long beach. I wanted to find a place close to home. Based on the reviews here I walked in confident that I would get nice brow shaping. And TECHNICALLY I did. My right brow looks good, my left brow looks good. The problem? They DON’T MATCH. One has a highter arch than the other. One has a slightly different shape towards the back of the brow than the other. Seriously. I showed them to my husband and he agreed. So I went back this afternoon to ask them to fix the one that is slightly fuller. It can be made to match up with the other. The woman who did it previously wasn’t there. Which was fine by me because I wasn’t going to(literally) put my face in her hands again. The woman that was there told me that she didn’t want to fix them because her coworker had done them. Then she went on to say, I kid you not, «Yes, they are not the same because your face is not symmetrical. One eyebrow has a higher arch than the other.» I told her that this is the FIRST time I’ve ever had this experience. Was she going to fix them or not. She wanted me to come back tomorrow when the other girl is there. 3 trips for a 10 minute eyebrow threading that should have been done in ONE trip? Really? No thanks. I could tell she knew her co-worker messed up and she didn’t want to get involved. NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER again. even if my eyebrows look like caterpillars trotting across my face.

Awesome. I just left on a whim after reading the previous review, to try this place as I was in dire need of a threading. Nice décor if you like that kind of stuff, but the lady who did my brows was wonderful, friendly and very attentive to my needs. I usually go to Sabi’s but since I was in the area decided to try this place out. Glad that I did. Will be my new go to spot if I dont make it to Sabi’s. Its located in the Downtown LB area with a parking structure.(FREE2 hr. parking is a plus!) Will be back!

I happened upon Reva Brow Shapes a couple months ago by accident. I went back today and they were as awesome as I remembered. I used to get waxed but I am a brow convert! Very minimal pain and the ladies that work there were so nice. Two thumbs up!

I am a threading aficionado. I know how it should feel, what it should look like, how much it should cost and how long it should take. Reva, has pretty much become my FAVORITE place! She is gentle, careful, reasonable and quick. Most of all the hours of operation and location are easy. I used to drive all the way to Costa Mesa, now I don’t have to and I get to support a growing local business.
