A great addition to this part of DTLB. I was always forced to go to the dog park by the Public Library on Pacific and Broadway. Unfortunately, that location is frequented by many destitute individuals. I have nothing against them but it’s an issue for some. The Seaside location is only 3 blocks away and it’s great that they separate the Large and Smaller breeds from each other so it reduces any violent interactions. You can actually find a few toys which people forget to take with them. The area is isolated away from traffic which is good so the dogs won’t get frightened by the sounds of passing cars. Its a little narrow but both sides are long enough to play a game of fetch.

I’m beyond happy that the city of Long Beach opened a park for the local resident. The park is only a few steps from my resident which makes it extremely convenient. It is a very large space with separate areas for small and large dogs. My only issue is that the water sprinkler comes on daily which makes the grass wet which my(spoiled) dog doesn’t like so it’s only been a few occasion in which he has accompany me into the park. Yes, clearly he’s the one taking me out for walks lol. He’s the boss
