It’s more than soccer!

Soccer Shots is the national leader in youth soccer development for children ages 2 through 8. Our program has been created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, MLS® and USL® professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches. Our innovative lesson plans are developmentally appropriate and tailored specifically to the three distinct age groups we teach. Using these creative and age-​appropriate curricula and infusing each lesson plan with enthusiasm and structured activity, Soccer Shots aims to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.

History

Established in 1998.

Our founding partners, Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb, met as teammates while playing soccer both in college and professionally. They formed Soccer Shots® in 1998 when looking to earn some side money in their off-​season. They shared an entrepreneurial spirit, a deep love of soccer, and a passion to inspire children to live fit and healthy lives.

The success of Soccer Shots in Charlotte, NC and Harrisburg, PA, where Sorzano and Webb first launched their businesses, led to several of their friends and former teammates wanting to get involved. In 2005, Soccer Shots began franchising and opened its first four franchises in OH, DE, FL, and PA. The business opportunity began to attract more soccer entrepreneurs, and Soccer Shots has enjoyed growing around the country and into Canada.

In May of 2009, Justin Bredeman, another former college soccer teammate, became the third Soccer Shots partner. Justin brought with him eight years of experience from Auntie Anne’s, Inc., a pretzel franchisin

Meet the Business Owner

Krissy G.

Business Owner

Krissy is a native to southern California, growing up in the Cypress area. She graduated from Cypress High School where she participated in multiple sports at the varsity level: volleyball, soccer and track and field. Krissy continued her education at Cypress Community College, where she received her associate’s degree in liberal studies. Also while attending Cypress College, Krissy played for the CC women’s soccer team, winning a state championship during her second year there. After Cypress College, Krissy put her boots on the shelf and turned her attention toward coaching. She took her first official coaching job at Los Alamitos High School as the freshman/​sophomore coach. From there she was hooked! Her love for the game and teaching took over. She continued to coach one more year at Los Al at the junior varsity level before moving to Cypress High School as the JV coach. She has been there for four years and has won a league championship every year (currently still coaching there).
