Steamed Organic Vegetarian Cuisine

Yummy! Came in for lunch with my furry friend and we sat in their beautiful outdoor oasis. Loved the Earth bowl and free chips and quac with your check in. Amazing infused water free of charge love this place. A little pricey but worth it.

Really amazing food. My favorites are the vegan burrito and the «everything but the kitchen sink» quesadilla. My only complaint is the price. It’s pretty expensive, but the quality of the food and the portion sizes make up for it.

People like this place because it’s a vegan option. I don’t see why this is more than a mediocre restaurant. To me, steaming food is the blandest preparation which is telling of the flavor here — bland. The servers are nice.

Super good guacamole. They had a variety of wine to choose from, too, mostly local. Good options.
The «tuna» was amazing. Highly recommend it. The burrito and the quesadilla were also great choices.
Flavored water was good, too!
Only downside was that it’s a little pricey.

They might look like a basic barebone hippie restaurant, but their food is delicious and they offer both water and lemon water off a tap. It’s a laid back place with only a few people working there, but they’re honest with their food. This is probably one of the best vegetarian restaurants in long beach (or L.A.).

Service was lacking, I asked for a glass of ice for water and was just put on hold and cashier decided to start taking the next order. I then asked someone walking by for a restroom and was rudely responded to. I did not feel appreciated as a customer.
Extremely overpriced! The food was good and quality was unquestionable. But I payed over $ 25 for two plates and we left hungry. Each plate came with like 5 – 7 chips, they should really consider offering additional free chips.
Would most likely not return.

First off, rude dude. .second, food is just OK… 3^rd, overpriced for something I could have made better at home! Not worth it. How is this place in business?

6÷18÷16: came back for a taco meat salad. It was so spicy, again. I really love this place but honestly I’m disappointed. I do love the check-​in special of guac and chips.

Came here the other night after reading some reviews here on Unilocal.We were in search of some healthy local filling food for dinner, and we definitely found what we were looking for!
This place is a small whole in the wall and is located in a relatively busy area. Parking can be kind of hard to find depending on when you go (Friday night is crazy).
The Employees here are Great! Extremely friendly/​kind.
Upon looking through the menu items it was very difficult to decide on what to order, everything sounded so good! We ended up choosing the Spinach Salad and Earth Bowl. Also when checking in on Unilocal you receive a free order of chips and Guacamole. The food here was great and very filling — You get a lot of food. Order Total: ~ $ 28.00 Price is fair, they give you a lot of food for the money.
Overall this place was great — Service and food!

I brought a group of my running friends to this vegetarian place in Long Beach and they all loved it. I could tell as soon as I walked in that every detail of the look and feel of this place as well as the menu, has been carefully and consciously created to offer diners a peaceful experience. We had these great wraps and finished our meal with some awesome organic raw chocolate. Plus on the way home we sipped on a bottle of really good kombucha that they sell.
This is definitely my go to place when I am in LA.

saw this thru Unilocal and decided to try it out with my vegetarian friends. I was definitely satisfied with my dining experience and so were my friends. I had the tiny dancer bowl which has rice (i chose brown rice), beans (i chose pinto and black beans), pesto, guacamole, sour cream, salsa and a side of chips… it was a tiny bowl but i totally got full from it. the food did not made me feel glutenous at all! i also ordered a whole bottle of pinot noir. No complaints regarding the staff. all of them were great! i definitely will come back again.

This place is amazing! Went with an obvious favorite the Earth bowl and it’s so yummmy!

Im a carnivore and my wife is a vegetarian and I brought her here because we usually go to places that serve meat and we would make the order «complicated», «confusing» for the workers because of the no meat. I felt bad about my wife getting weird looks from ordering with no meat at all with her meals so i brought her here. I honestly wasn’t looking forward to any of the food. I kind of pissed of my wife because i was regretting a little we came because there was no meat at all, but now its our place to go! I think I fell in love with the food more than my wife did! Hahaha service is awesome, workers are really nice to talk to and see to you to make sure your meal is to your liking. You will never regret coming here and for sure come back for more! I recommend the big boy burrito or the earth bowl! Enjoy :)

I was skeptical due to the name, I imagine there would only be steamed vegetables on the menu but boy was I wrong. The food has a Mexican profile and it smells amazing right when you walk in. Everything we ate was super filling and delicious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating with making us a child size burrito to my sons liking. Overall we had a great experience and delicious. Also, they do serve a selection of good beer and wine, just organic types.

(Vegan?) Fudge was a bit pricey but not as sweet as some fudges that Ive had which i avoid because they are too sweet.

My friend took a group of us here. I don’t know what I was expecting to see but it was a cute little place. We checked in for a free order of chips & guac and also ordered the duo. The salsa was so good!
3 of us ordered the kitchen sink (it says good for 2 people) and maybe the 3 of us don’t eat a lot but that was more than enough for us! I enjoyed it. I guess the kitchen sink could come in different ways? Other people in our group ordered it too and they had walnut meat in theirs and ours didn’t. But nontheless, I enjoyed it!

We were delighted to find a vegetarian /​vegan restaurant so close to our hotel in Long Beach, CA. We were even more delighted with the charming patio, friendly staff, and (of course) the outstanding food.
We were starving after our afternoon flight, so we started by scarfing down blue-​corn Tortilla chips and salsa so fresh it had to have been made that day.
When my Earth Bowl arrived, it was a crave-​worthy concoction of rice, beans, guacamole, and walnut meat. The chopped bits of cucumber and tomato mixed-​in brought a hearty mouth-​feel to the dish, without making it too heavy.
We washed all this down with cold, crisp lagers and sat staring at our empty bowls until we finally summoned the strength to roll our swollen bellies back to our hotel room, with promises to return soon.

Love this spot! Best place for organic vegan food that is tasty, fresh, and filling! I personally like to customize my order usually go with the burrito in a bowl. The flavored water is amazing, as is the guacamole and salsa.
Also kid friendly which is a super plus!

If it wasn’t for this, I probably would have given this place 3 stars. Maybe it’s because I’m spoiled and have the plethora of vegan/​veg options in Los Angeles, but this place fell so short to me.
THE biggest reason for this was the lack of variety. Or at least that was recommended to me. I like to come up to the front counter (after research of course) and see what they recommend. I got recommended the LBQ, the mud bowl and the earth bowl. After looking at all three, I realized, aw man, they are all just slight variations of the same thing. I chose the Earth bowl because it was the cheapest.
I ordered the Earth Bowl (one of the Steamed Favorites), which was like a vegan version of the Chipotle burrito bowl. It was good, but not something I’d say that people HAVE to come down to Long Beach and get. Also, because I got the free chips and guac, it just seemed as though I got a more elaborate version of the same thing (the earth bowl also comes with guac and chips)
Granted, I am NOT a vegan, I just like trying things, but it just seemed like everything was simple stuff I could make at home. When I want to go to a vegan restaurant, what I want is NOT a wrap or a salad. I want to see something innovative– like, how can you make an amazing, unique entrée with solely vegan ingredients? This is what attracted me to/​kept me coming back to other vegan places I’ve been to.
I didn’t see much creativity in the dishes that were recommended to me. I think they should make more appealing sandwiches/​burrito options for non-​vegans, as well as recommend a variety of options (or mark some other specials other than just the LBQ and the Earth bowl, which is the same thing with chips or a tortilla). Again, maybe I’m missing out on a hidden treasure that I didn’t catch on the menu, which is why I’m rating forgivingly, but their menu (or new Menu, according to other Unilocalers), seems a bit one-​dimensional to me.
