Ugh! I hate to write reviews like this but in this case it’s warranted. Marci and I had some money allocated from and we wanted sushi, so we opted for one of the few places that is local to us. The fact is we’ve had more weird or bad experiences with than not, so it was not necessarily a surprise that this place was MEH. The food was not bad which is to say it was average, however it didn’t all come to the table at the same time and they forgot to make the vegetable course, so when we made them aware of that, they hurriedly made the course and served it too us. The fact that we were done with dinner basically made eating it kind of pointless, but the kicker was that it’s terribly executed. Im posting some pics so you can see what I ordered and what they brought us. It was comical. I’m also going to suggest that they do not use real tuna for their sashimi because it gave up its color on the plate and it didn’t look real. The salmon was adequate but the other fish, whatever it was had so much marinate on it I couldn’t really distinguish what it was or even that it was fish. The gyoza was good. The edamame was good and the rainbow roll was mediocre. The veggie plate was a joke. The weird thing is that you expect this type of thing when the sushi shop is really cheap, but the fact of the matter is this place is not that cheap. It looks like a streetside deli but the prices are roughly equivalent to a top sushi place. Rolls are 10.00 –12.00 bucks. Entrees are 12.00−14.00 bucks. We paid 20.00 for a 15 piece sashimi plate so whatever saving we were getting was obviously being offset by the poor quality. This was not entirely disappointing, but I certainly would not recommend this place. I am disturbed by the good reviews I’ve read here on Unilocal, because all I can think is most of these people have never actually had really good sushi or they are paid shills that wrote reviews for 25 bucks… Makes me sad…

Rudest delivery guy ever! Called yelling at me because he couldn’t find my place and kept insisting I give him the apt number. There isn’t one. Then practically dropped the food on the doorstep and took off. If that is the first impression you offer to a new customer, I won’t bother to order from you or come eat in your establishment again.

I’ve passed by this restaurant many times before but never paid much attention to it until I saw it on Amazon Local. The pricing was reasonable for the amount of food you get(which is a lot for most of their dishes). I ordered their shrimp tempura roll and shrimp katsu bowl. Both were extremely delicious for just under $ 10! The tempura roll was cut up to about 8 pieces but I think the pieces of the sushi rolls depends on what kind of sushi you order. I also ordered the salmon roll and that was only cut up to about 5 large pieces so it was still worth what you pay for. The waiting time wasn’t that long but I was really the only person there at the time. The decorations give the place kind of a weird vibe just because nothing in the place matched. But I overlooked all that since the food was really good. There was lots to choose from so I’m sure whatever it is you’re looking for, you’ll find it!

Omg, I just had their curry and its super good! It’s almost comparable to ichibana in Gardena! The sushi is fresh. The spicy tuna is my favorite. I also like their joy sauce, as they call it. I’m not a fan of wasabi and shoot sauce with my rolls but the joy sauce saved me! I definitely recommend the flaming joy roll.

I’m glad I came to this restaurant without reading the other reviews. the shrimp tempura roll and the island roll are my favorites. they also have specials for the day & the menu has a lot of variety. all the meat and fish are very fresh! this is my go to sushi spot now. so I definitely recommend this place

This place was questionable once you walked in the décor was odd on some walls like it didn’t match the rest of the theme. The customer service was super! But most of the sodas where out of service along with the ice machine which was pretty strange they also had a sign that said first refill free any refill after is .50 cents. Despite that I used my groupon with my sister the food was pretty good and the sushi was so so. Overall was not the worst place I’d been but could definitely change a few key things.

It took forever to get our food. Rolls were super small. And on the menu they said they had Radish Sprouts for rolls BUT when we asked for them we were told it was a «typo» on the menu and they weren’t offering them. The fish on the Rainbow Roll wasn’t fresh it was very fishy! I was charged $ 3.50 to add avocado on the top of my Veggie Roll. It started at $ 5.49 but they charged us $ 8.99 for the addition of the avocado! I could have eaten two whole avocados for that price and most sushi bars charge me about $ 2 to add avocado. OH, I also requested sweet mayo for my daughter who loves to dip her veggies in it and was told that they would bring me the mayo and I could MAKEMYOWN! We finally gave up and walked up to the register to pay because the last straw was that we never received a crunchy roll that one person ordered. BTW, we were the ONLY people in the place the entire time other than a few«To Go» orders. The owner came out to apologize & explain the bill. When I asked why such a high charge for the avocado the owner explained that if we were«regulars» he wouldn’t have charged so much!!!

This place is a hole in the wall/diamond in the rough. Miso soup not so good but sushi is usually fresh and less expensive than the other sushi places I frequent. If you come here often make sure to get a Loyal Customer Card to help you save more. My favorite part about this place is they have all the sauces out so you can put it on yourself! I also tell them what I’d like in and on my roll even if it isn’t on the menu and they don’t get upset as long as they have the ingredients they will work with you.
