First and last time here. Horrible service, and even worst food. This was nasty. Don’t come here! I don’t know how this place stays open

Terrible! I visited their new location in North Long Beach and it was not good. I had just gotten off work and decided to try them out. I go through the drive thru and notice the prices a bit high. Then, I was greeted by a monotone latina who wasn’t too thrilled at taking my order. Her mind was at home worrying about her baby daddy if he was cheating or not rather than my four taco order. She charges my card and tells me it’s an extra 75 cents for debit… I mean, seriously. After waiting 15 minutes at her pathetic window, I finally get my food by this other latina with similar apathetic attitude. The tacos are okay. Not great just bleh. the meat was undercooked and just spongy. I couldn’t finish them and it wasn’t because I was full.

Glad I finally tried this place, but not thrilled. The carne asada tacos had lots of chewy nerves and gristle. Actually, it was pretty gross. Three of four had a red salsa on them, and one did not, did they run out? Great service, but the food kind of ruined it for me.

The other reviews certainly don’t make sense to me. This place is an absolute gem. Everything about it is put together with love. Especially the food. The meat is seasoned very well and the tortillas are very fresh. Came across it during a late night taco hunt and have returned several times since. Nothing but good things!

Decided to give this random taco spot a chance since this place is walking distance from my house. Walk in.(Tiny hole in the wall place). The tacos are 1.50 each. Kind of pricey for the size. But I get a couple. Tried Carne asada and chicken. They were ok… not bad and not great either. If you’re hungry and stuck in the area I’d say get a few tacos. Prices are high and they charge for debit. Food is ok. Not great. Which is why I only gave them 3 stars…

Good tacos, authentic tortillas. The tacos are pricey at 1.50 each for a small taco and they don’t offer a taco special. Other then that the tacos are great spot in the hood with a side window for quick ordering.

Terrible service. Bad location. Decent food. Cheap. There’s simply no excuse for bad service. I understand this is an almost literal hole in the wall but that is no excuse for rudeness and no deadpan faces. The food as okay. Carne Asada fries and Tacos Adobados were just too greasy, soggy, and overly salty. Their food is no better than King Taco.(Take that how you will) Just because a place is «in the hood» it does not warrant bad service in exchange for decent cheap food.

Sorry but this place is rude! I moved here and wanted to give this place a shot. At first it was okay. Bean & Cheese for breakfast was my thing at first. But then one day I go and some female was working with the worst attitude on! I tried to order but I think she didn’t fully understand me. So this female starts speaking in Spanish so i say«I’m sorry i don’t speak Spanish.» Then it really started… She starts talking in Spanish asking«why don’t you speak Spanish aren’t you Latina? «with a Bit$# attitude. I may not speak the language but I know a litte and I for sure know attitude! Never again will I visit this place!!! RUDE!

Gave it my test: carne asada taco & torta. Passed with flying colors! This place is awesome, and the woman who runs it is sweet and efficient. My husband was happy with his food as well, even though they ran out of cabeza and he couldn’t get his usual. We will most definitely be back for more!

I’ve been a couple times after moving into the Wrigley area. It’s a little shack with a window but also has a few tables inside. It’s usually a one woman show but they always have lots on the stove and can prepare authentic dishes quick. And when I say authentic I’m not playin. Real cheese fresh veggies and bold spices. I can’t speak for the meat since I don’t eat it but I bet those spices carry through all their dishes.

I was craving some tacos with my gf and we were in the area so we gave this place a shot. This place is fairly small in the inside but it does have a few table outside. The sign said they had menudo and my gf loves menudo so she decided to give theirs a try. Unfortunately the lady said they were out. We ordered tacos instead and they were okay nothing special but not the worst I’ve had.

People of Long Beach! I mean WTF is wrong with you guys?! This place is AMAZING! *pauses first to go thru Unilocal to make sure there isn’t a duplicate listing* yep… I guess I’m right. WTF people of Long Beach!!! If it weren’t for Waze GPS I would have NEVER found this place. Been here TWICE already with my Mom. We were in Long Beach because since my Step father passed away we had to clear out his Storage unit which was located in Long Beach(ugh that storage company has something coming to them I tell you) but despite the agonies we had to go thru to get to Long Beach, Tacos Guadalajara kissed the booboo and made it feel a little less painful. It is again VERY hard to find GOOD mexican food here in the States, and it is also hard to find Good Mexican food away from the border, well this place is great for that. This place is seemingly run by 1 lady(I see her business card has her name, Eva) well I will ASSume that Eva is the nice lady who helped us out :) first let me review day #1 It was about an hour before the Storage place we had traveled to Long Beach for would be open, my Mother, nephew and I were sooo hungry so we(who were using Waze at the time) launched the app to find a local restaurant to try out, I saw Casa Guadalajara and I saw it had 5 stars(didn’t even notice at the time that it was just 1 review until today) so I told my Mom that this place had good REVIEWS and so we went there to try it out, the lady was much like your typical Mexican restaurant owner who works the heck out of herself day after day, she clearly was trying to put her day together and stated to us that she had just re-opened her restaurant because she was feeling a little under the weather the day before(so good for us being there that particular day when she was feeling better) We started by doing the classic FAIL at any mexican restaurant, and ordered«Carne Asada Fries»(I say FAIL because that is not REAL mexican food haha) well Eva told us(after she quickly peeked into her refrigerator) that she was sorry but she was currently out of fries, So instead my nephew ordered a burrito, Mom had some Sopes and I ordered a Torta de Res. Nice Eva didn’t charge us for the food and asked us to have a seat, I was surprised because for such a tiny little place not to charge immediately was beyond me. Sooo we had a seat, I heard her preparing the food in the kitchen. Eva delivered first my nephew’s burrito(so nice of her to deliver the kid’s food first :) shows to me that she knows how important it is for Kids to eat first) then a couple minutes after my nephew dove into his burrito she brought out OURS(Mom and I) and WOW. looks soo authentic and fresh! I turned and asked my Nephew what he thought of the(already 1⁄3 gone) burrito, he turned to me with a mouthful and mumbled«ifts goof!» Hahaha(obviously I had to sneak a bite to confirm and YES I agreed) My Mom’s Sope looked yummy! Looked just like SHE used to make for us when we were growing up :) and there was none of that ikky american shredded cheese on any of this food it was all 100% authentic ingredients, the Sope shell tasted like it was home made, the beans were delicious and I could see by turning my head to the LEFT a prep room that had bags of uncooked beans and rice along with many other food ingredients that to me implied she makes everything from scratch… my burrito(although she forgot the Avocado I had asked to be added onto it) was still very tasty and her forgetting the avocado was not that big a deal for me since it tasted absolutely delicious without it. My Mother was very pleased with it. So much that when we bid farewell to her, Mom told me that she wanted to return there on our followup visit :) BTW this place is located conveniently across the street of «Northgate Supermarket» which is one of the best Mexican food chains in California :) hands down! Day #2 it was just Mom and I this time(nephew was in school) but we made a B-line to Tacos Guadalajara from our trip up from San Diego. The metal door was closed but the wooden door was open, we could tell that Eva was probably just running a little late, so Mom and I decided to kill time at the Northgate Market, when we returned we ordered the exact same thing haha and it was JUST as good the 2nd time as the first :) it was this day that I asked Eva if she had any help and she told me «No it’s just me» I’m telling you guys, you can taste the love and spirit she puts into her food here, the food is fresh, and I can tell Eva makes most things from scratch which explains to me WHY she was out of Fries, you know? I’m not 100% why she was out of fries on visit 1 but my guess judging by everything I noticed was that she made them from scratch and so IF one of you guys who reads this does order the Asada fries, please post me an update and tell me what you think :) I’d love to try them. Anyway try this place out :) YUMMY!
