The Art Of Waxing

Waxing is decent, place is clean but definitely not about the customer. Moody technicians (had an awful experience with «N» whom was very curt & rude), another tech destroyed my skin & I complained. The owner called me & didn’t offer any incentive to resolve. Poor customer service & money hungry. Too many other options in the area for me to return.

I’m in love! The Art of Waxing is the answer to my eyebrow anxiety. After years of settling with what the lady at the nail salon could deliver, I’ve found my saving grace.
The Art of Waxing offers amazing customer service. From the moment I walked in on my first day I couldn’t believe what I had been missing. Good bye to the stress of hoping that someone can fit me in for a quick brow wax in between an acrylic nail job and getting grumbly looks when I only need a wax. I love the smiling faces from the team at The Art of Waxing. Everyone is super personable and always accommodating.
What’s even cooler is I now have a wax esthetician, who I LOVE. ADRIANA! Don’t hesitate to ask for her. My girl Adriana is the eyebrow queen. I’m a little nervous about putting everyone on hype about her, because I’ll die if I can’t make a booking, but she deserves a shout out.
I have total confidence in Adriana’s skills. I can now go to get my eyebrows done and actually relax. I know she’s going to do a great job and make my visit comfortable and fun. She’s the coolest and I think it’s awesome that she reps Long Beach and has a passion for the local community. Plus she’s cute and has major swag.
To wrap things up, I have an 8 month lil boy and while I love him to pieces, ‘me’ time has become a rarity. My wax appointments are my mini spa experiences and a break from my hectic schedule. The Art of Waxing is my beauty oasis — you should make it yours too!

I came here for a Brazilian wax because it’s less than 5 min away from where I live and has great Unilocal reviews. I got to the wax studio and was greeted by Daisy who was very friendly. After filling out a form, I was lead to the room where a wipe and towel were provided. The lighting and music in the room were very calming. Daisy took her time and made sure she was very thorough. I was also given a post wax care packet before leaving which I found was a very good touch. I will be returning here for my routine Brazilian. You also get a discount for booking your next appointment 4 weeks in advance.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now. I’ve seen a few people. I don’t always stick to one only because of schedule conflicts. I like everyone. It’s super cute & has parking which is great. Dana the owner has been doing my brows mostly but now that she’s had a baby I’ve been with Natasha lately who I love. I had to go somewhere else recently because of my own schedule & needless to say it just really reminded me how great it is I have it here. The price is awesome too. I used to be guilty of going to cheap nail salons in a sketchy room and paying 8 $. Now that I’m older and wiser I see the value in a clean, cute space that will do a fantastic job. Love them!

Being new to Long Beach I gad a hard time finding a good place for waxing. Maya is amazing. She’s quick and friendly. I’d recommend this place to anyone who needs any waxing!

I have been here multiple times and each time they do awesome work! I’m really picky about the way I want my eyebrows to look so I’m always hesitant to try new eyebrow places but the art of waxing is awesome. The lobby is cute and the waxing rooms are comfortable. Everyone here has been super nice and accommodating.

The Art of Waxing is a unique salon that specializes in the «art of waxing», yes it is an art and Dana is a true artist! The salon studio has a lovely ambiance that creates a relaxing atmosphere. It is obvious the Owners take pride in their salon and take it to a whole new level of awesome!

Yesterday I went in to get waxed by Maya. It is really hard to find a Waxer is who good and makes you feel comfortable with their face in your whoo ha. She was funny and knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable. I will definitely be going back

Do you have the dreaded unibrow problem? Are you plagued with hairy arms? Do you just need a gardener that knows what she’s doing? This place has everything you need! The people there are knowledgeable, professional, and fun! Everytime I go there, I am always greeted with a smile. Everyone is so engaging and genuinely caring regarding your needs. I have been going to Daisy for the past 3 months, and I am always pleased with her work. She definitely knows her stuff! I have no need to look anywhere else for unwanted hair removal.

I did the full eyebrow tutorial and I wasn’t super happy with my brows. It took over an hour and I didn’t allow myself enough time for that so I didn’t have time to voice my concerns about being unhappy, so I left. Daisy was really sweet and I have no complaints about her. She was super professional & easy to talk to. I do think that what they’re charging is a bit much so I’ll be sticking with Perfect Brows in Belmont.

I needed a new waxing salon and decided to come here based on the reviews AND the fact that they were closer to my house than Wax Candy.
Making an appointment online was quick and easy. As soon as I walked in the receptionist greeted me by name and offered me a drink. I was thinking she was only going to offer water, but to my surprise she said wine too! Of course I took the wine!
I went into the room with Mariah and it was like talking to an old friend. I almost forgot I was getting waxed lol. I will definitely be back… this is my new waxing salon!

I had never had a waxing done before on my bikini line. I was a little nervous but was taken great care of by Mariah. She was so friendly and so fast! I felt totally comfortable and it was over quickly!
I came back a few weeks later and had Jessica perform my Brazilian. I was told by friends that it would hurt a little. It totally did, lol. BUT Jessica was fast and thorough at getting any stubborn hairs. She did a great job and I’ll be back! They suggest returning every 3 to 4 weeks.
I’d highly recommend either Mariah or Jessica. I’m starting to think though that anyone here would be fabulous!
Parking is on the street and I believe they have a parking lot. I never use the lot though as I always find street parking. Super easy online appointment booking system as well. And I feel the prices are reasonable for the amazing work they do!

I never take the time to write reviews — but when I left Art of Waxing, I knew I had to. This place was amazing. From the set up, the cleanliness, and the staff, I couldn’t have asked for a better waxing experience.
I’m a very high maintenance waxer (i.e. I get everything waxed: full legs, underarms, brows, upper lip, bikini). I have been getting continually waxed for over a year now in my hometown in the Central Valley where I currently live and felt so ridiculously comfortable for my first time with Mariah at the Art of Waxing LB.
Mariah was thoughtful, sweet, could hold conversation about any topic, and did an amazing job. She made sure each wax was as close to perfect as possible and would tweeze stray hairs. The kind of hard wax they use for the sensitive places is amazing and virtually painless — especially on the bikini area.
I will definitely be visiting again! Mariah was AMAZING. I’m am oh so very happy… and smooth!

Today was my first time at The Art of Waxing. The place is fairly easy to find but parking is tricky, they have a small lot in the back or street parking. The door is heavy and slams shut, gotta remember that for next time.
When I walked in nobody was there and someone from another room said they would be with me shortly. A quick minute and a nice woman greets me, I’m early so I fill out a form and sit down. Daisy greeted me, was very friendly, and explained the process.
The wax they use is is hot but not painful. The wax itself hardens and that is then pulled, no paper. It is a lot less painful than other waxing experiences I’ve had. The reception area and waxing room were clean, chic and modern styling, and made you feel ver comfortable in an uncomfortable situation.
Daisy was great and I plan on coming back. However, as a new client I was not told that if I booked my appointment before I left I would receive a discount before I left or that I would receive a goody bag. Unless they aren’t doing that anymore?

Awesome waxing salon! I called about 10 minute upon arriving and they were able to accommodate me. I waited only 5 minutes and served wine as well! Mariah did my brows and lip, they came out great! Really took her time unlike other places who over charge and take a few minutes on your brows. Will be back for sure.

I’ve been coming here since November 2014. With this place a quick walk from my house, I don’t know what took me so long!
I started out with regular eyebrow waxing — every two weeks. In March I ventured into french/​bikini waxing as I was going on vacation. I decided to come back for another waxing about 5 weeks later and now I’m hooked.
I am here at least 2 – 3 times per month (depending on how the scheduling ends up). I see Daisy every time and she is FANTASTIC.
