Meet the Business Owner
Jonathan R.
Business Owner
After graduating from the University of Arizona with a BA in Economics I started my culinary adventure at The Sky Room. After six months we took over another restaurant in Santa Barbara and I moved out there to get immersed in the wine scene. I ran a fine dining restaurant, wine bar, and wine retail shop. During that time I enrolled in the International Sommelier Guild and became a certified Sommelier. I learned from some of the best and during my stay in Santa Barbara I assisted with a Grand Award wine list (3,000+ different wine labels from all over the world) which I have brought with me to The Sky Room upon my return in 2009. I also had the pleasure of working with a talented Chef that came from Melise (2 Michelin Stars). My experience in wine country, the kitchen, and on the restaurant floor have shaped me and pushed me to dive into a new universe of flavors, creativity and a pure passion for creating something beautiful for others to enjoy.
