Finally found what I was looking for in a dentist. I trust my dentist and she gets me. They get me in and out and there’s never a huge waiting period or packed waiting rooms.

Dr. Victor DeLos Santos has been my dentist for years and would not trade him for anyone else. He cares and very passionate with his work. Definitely highly recommended.

Dr De Los Santos just saved another one of our children from braces! Because of his early intervention and decades of experience we have been able to use retainers vs. expensive and painful braces.
This dentist is an implant, orthodontic magician.

I had recently gone back to this dentistry and will say that my experience has been magnitudes greater than what I had dealt with before. The new receptionists seem to be more helpful.
The actual work on my teeth was quick and painless as the dentists always ask if anything is hurting. Before I knew it the work was over.

They don’t value your time. So if you make appointment add one hour or more to get in to the seat. Or just arrive on their time one hour later then everyone else time. I hope you’ll value your time and not just go. Your worth more.

I have been going the Long Beach office for over 5 years. I get very nervous going to the dentist but I have to say that my experience with Dr. DeLosSantos has been extremely comforting. He always makes me feel at ease and comfortable. He is very nice and friendly and ALWAYS has a smile on his face. He is very knowledgeable and very good at what he does. You can tell that he has a passion for his work. He genuinely cares for his patients. I would recommend him and this office to EVERYONE!

The receptionist David made my father come into the office three times in one day and then turned him away without treatment for his infected tooth because he hadn’t got the authorization ahead of time from the insurance company.
I called the insurance company, Metlife, and they bent over backward to send confirmation of coverage both by phone and fax. All this receptionist had to do was get my dad into the treatment area and wait for the root canal authorization to come in. They were not going to say no.
My father is 87 and needed help badly, and hadn’t eaten or slept well for 2 days. He finally told them to forget it and left.
I immediately called the insurance company and received a referral for another dentist. You can’t make fiction better than this.

Say they cant do anything further with a procedure they clearly did not do correct the first time… Dr. de los Santos is supposed to be the dentist but not ONCE did I see him…
Not friendly and seem very unexperienced here!

Wow i must say in the beginning i wasnt please of what was going on from being short staff and not to mention rushing their patients but now their new management are changing certain stuff and are catering more for their patients so they can come back with smile. Upgrade 2thumbs and welled played!

I had a bad experience with the first dentist on my HMO dental plan. So I researched dentists listed on my plan with reviews on Angie’s List. Found Dr. De Los Santos and signed up to see him. I don’t know about the other dentist in the office but would only see Dr. De Los Santos. He is very personable and professional! He made me feel as if I were worth his time.

I had to change dentists… appointments were scheduled weeks in advance, never received a call for appointment reminders. I always waited an hour to hour and a half before I was seen. On two occasions I was told they were busy and was told I could wait an additional hour to be seen or reschedule my appointment. Another time I was having a crown placed, I waited 45 minutes before they told me my crown had not arrived. The dentist gives a quick rundown of what you need done and rushes out before you can ask questions. They make you go to multiple visits because they only perform 1 procedure at a time. It took 6 months for them to complete my treatment, a cleaning, 2 fillings, and a crown.

Changed Dentist. took forever to get an appointment then you get an appointment and waited for an hour for my kids to be seen… then why schedule an appointment. They ever called me back to see if my son was approved for braces. I called twice and was told someone would call me back. Went somewhere else… Happy now.

Both visits I had to wait almost an hour. On my first visit, the office had 3 patients scheduled on opening with only one dentist. The teeth cleanings were treated as rush jobs. Do not go here.

My first visit was efficient & pleasant. The second and third time around qA a different story. Ive been waiting in the lobby for over 1 hour (both times) for a routine cleaning scheduled at noon. No one bothered to tell me they were behind schedule until I inquired. Simple communication would suffice. Also, they lost my chart at least 2 times. Had I not insisted that they check before giving me any type of treatment… who knows what could have happened. I also didn’t appreciate the pushiness of the dentist who insisted that veneers paid for by Care Credit are the only way to go. She discourage traditional methods which makes those who are on a conservative budget feel… well like crap. Thanks for nothing.

I had four visits at this dentist to put a crown in. I picked them because of the good ratings on here and because they accepted my insurance. but I never even saw this de los Santos dentist at all– never even met him. Instead I got the junior staff.
Mostly I was pretty unhappy with the way the office is managed. Out of my four appointments I only received one courtesy call for any of them– and one of the appointments was booked over six weeks in advance with no reminder! Twice I was kept waiting more than an hour past my appointment time before I was seen. This last time took the cake though. They were supposed to put in my crown and replace two fillings, but because one of the staff was on vacation they were «Too busy» and wanted me to come back again for a FIFTH time. Ridiculous! It’s not my fault they overbooked when they knew they’d be short-​staffed. So I waited an hour, the dentist spent 10 minutes to put my crown on and then brushed me off for the rest of work I had an appointment for. Very disappointed and I won’t be going back. My time is valuable too, ladies!

Although sometimes the later appts have about a 30 minute wait time, sometimes I dont mind. The office staff are really nice and easy to talk to. My boys dont mind coming here for detal work considering the last places they’ve been they have had bad experiences. The office is clean. I would recommend this office.

I’ve been to other dentists in the LA area and I couldn’t find one that I really felt comfortable with. The first, in Hollywood, acted like he had no clue what he was doing and therefore, was completely unsure of himself. Also, his office was completely empty the day I went — can’t be a good sign.
The second, in Lakewood, I actually reviewed and was nothing more than a hustler. Using a combination of insults and ultimatums, I was forced to believe that the only options for my teeth were root canals and expensive whitening treatments– and that was before I could receive a simple cleaning.
Dr. De Los Santos’ office and staff were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely cooperative in helping me figure out which treatment plans were right for me and my finances. I can’t remember my dentist’s name, but she was great! She made me feel comfortable and explained exactly why she felt I needed certain work done. (She’s in the Long Beach office only on Mondays and Fridays, so if you want to request her, you can tell them that) I spoke with the receptionist who helped me work out an appointment schedule for what needs to be fixed (i just have a couple cracked fillings, a cavity, a chipped tooth and a wisdom tooth extraction — not too bad after five years of no dental checkups, etc.), and had no problem understanding what I wanted covered by my insurance.
My favorite part — they cleaned and polished my teeth!!! This may sound like a silly thing to be excited about, but feel free to follow my profile to the previous dentist I reviewed. Let’s just say, my hygienist at Dr. De Los Santos’ office ALSO thought it was weird that I DIDN’T get a cleaning at the previous dentist as a part of my check-​up.
The office is in the bottom of a sketchy-​looking apartment complex, but don’t let that stop you. It’s slightly outdated in décor, but it’s very clean and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. De Los Santos’ Long Beach office on Atlantic Blvd.

A warm, caring staff /​atmosphere. Immediately when you walk into the office Lupe makes you feel comfortable. Dr. De Los Santos was awesome! I mean this guy loves what he does (helping people) it excudes from his excitement /​mannerism to see a happy and completly satisfied patient.

I went through a traumatic experience which landed me in Dr. De Los Santos’ office and I couldn’t be happier about it. I had to get my four front teeth replaced with implants. There’s a lot to it but the doc made it painless and my teeth look even better than they ever did before! Lupe and everyone else in the office is knowledgeable, thorough, and fun too. I highly recomend this office for adults and children alike. Thanks again Dr!!!

I’ve been going to this dentist (when I get brave enough) since I was a child. Dr. De Los Santos is caring and tries to make his patients feel at ease. The Long Beach office is very clean and the staff are nice.
