Always had a great experience getting mani/​pedis here! Clean, friendly staff and they all do a great job.

This nail salon is long overdue. I live in Sunnyside and have a lot of nails salons around me, but I choose this salon for a lot of reasons. First of all they give great manicures and pedicures. They do all type of massages and their spa treatments are nice as well. Second, I really like the point system card they have. And thirdly, the staff is really sweet. The place does get very busy and I honestly think that is a good thing. Wouldn’t you rather go to a place that is busy, meaning that people like the service. Yes it gets busy and wait times run long, but if you pay attention then you can notice how many people are there, how much staff there is, and what treatment the customers are waiting to deduct how much time you might be waiting. No one is forcing you to wait past the timeframe they gave you. Anyway it’s a great place.

We were really pleased (basic spa pedicure/​manicure). They were really meticulous on us and I think it was the most in depth callus removal I’ve ever had. My feet felt like brand new!

As stated in my previous review, I had great experiences with this nail salon for a long time. I honestly didn’t understand what the negative reviewers were talking about. But, I guess I was on some sort of lucky streak that has now ended. My last several visits were all disappointing.
Issues have included:
–Gel manicures not lasting as long as they used to. I think the issue here might be that not all of the techs have been properly trained on all of the products. Different brands of gel polish need different lengths of time to cure. If the polish is given the wrong amount of time to dry, it won’t set properly and can chip off quickly. The last time I got my nails done here, I ended up with a huge chip the next day and another noticeable chip a day later.
–On two occasions, I was told there would be a ten minute wait that turned out to be 30+. It’s so much better just to be honest about wait times. If you can’t see me right away, I completely understand. But please don’t lie and waste my time.
–On a recent visit, the tech working on my nails got into a heated argument with another nail tech.
–Prices here are higher than a lot of comparable salons outside Manhattan. This didn’t bother me when I was happy with the service, but given recent experiences it’s just not worth the extra cost.

This is place is pretty decent. I’ve only gone there about 4 times & just for a simple pedicure. I long for the days when pedicures were cheap & they massaged your calves/​feet for a good while. Now, you have to pay for every minute (and a longer foot massage should be part of the high price!). Every staff person has been basically decent, but I did encounter a favorite person today, her name is Helen. I also did a 20 minute neck/​back rub that was fantastic! She really got into the tight muscles.

Terrible experience and not worth the money or wait. Was told wait was 20 minutes which ended up being 45 minutes. While I was getting WAXED another nail tech brought a customer into the room to give her a back massage. Completely unprofessional! When I said I was uncomfortable with another customer in the room while I was getting waxed both nail techs seemed surprised and confused as to why I was upset. After several minutes of discussion they moved the other customer to the other room, which is where they should have brought her to begin with. When paying there was no mention of apology or compensation. This establishment was a nice add to the neighborhood 2 years ago but has steadily been declining and my last visit was rock bottom. Needless to say I will never be returning.

I got an infection under my nail from here that I had to treat with antibiotics and it still hasn’t gone away!
The girl pushed WAY too hard while cleaning my nails and was completely unapologetic. I would give them zero stars if I could… They should go out of business.

long overdue review of this nail salon that beats anywhere else in the neighborhood. If you grew up spoiled with nail salons on every block as I did then you understand what its like not to have a decent one near you for years! Finally, Blue came and my mani/​pedi/​massage issues were solved.
Clean, affordable and good service with a perfect location.

As much as I desperately want to like this place because of the convenience of its location, 5+ times later I still don’t. I can put up with the bad attitudes but they overall have poor technique. Manicures are usually rushed and whenever I point out a flaw they get annoyed and continue to make the mistakes. Definitely won’t be coming back here again.

I’ve gone here on and off for years and the service is only so so. Today I had a rushed pedicure and the most painful eyebrow and chin wax. The girl never showed me my face probably BC she realized she burned my face and I wasn’t going to be happy. I tipped over 10% (which didn’t have to do) and the lady audible gasped and said «oh my god» and then she walked away for 3 mins and then came back and asked me for more of a tip. I realized it wasn’t a great tip but it wasn’t great service.

I’ve only had the mani/pedi’s here but they’re usually fast, poorly done (leaving dirt under my nails, cuticles that need trimming and sometimes bad polish job), and chip within 2 days. Its basically a quick cover up job. I go back from time to time, but its nothing to write home about.

Poor customer service, rushed mani/​pedi, unclean.
If you’re looking for a quick, cheap, no frills salon, this is a place to go. There were flies around the stations and the woman who did my mani/​pedi and eyebrows rushed the whole thing. She did not remove the rough skin during my pedicure, left many of my cuticles unevenly trimmed and barely waxed my eye brows. I don’t think she understood enough english through the process, so asking for adjustments was a hassle.
When it came time to pay they got upset that I tipped on my card. I suspect they’re not paying their employees fairly, for them to pressure their clients to tip in cash.
I’d rather pay more at a nicer salon nearby.

I tipped my manicurist 30% and she reprimanded me that it wasn’t in cash.
I will never ever go back.

Would have given Blue Nail Spa 1 star but I am giving them 2 because of the massage. Horrible customer service, one of the worst pedicures, but a surprisingly good massage.
I ended up here because I was in desperate need of a pedicure and the nail salon I regularly go to was closed. The experience at Blue Nail Spa one of the worst. I was their only customer and I was hoping to get a relaxing pedicure but it turned out to be the opposite. I have been to other nail salons where the workers talk to each other while they continued to work on their customers but this is the first place where the lady completely stopped taking care of me to loudly carry on a conversation with another worker. I’m okay with the workers socializing and I understand cultural differences but when the socializing interferes with their job and makes the customer uncomfortable I consider that a lack of social awareness and bad customer service.

This has definitely become my go to spot in the neighborhood for mani/​pedis. After moving to the area and trying every salon, this by far is the best. Not only is the service great, but the prices are much more reasonable in comparison to the other «spas» in the area. Because of my busy work schedule I usually have to go the weekends, which sometimes results in me having to wait, but never longer then 15 minutes. I have always been happy with the services and will continue to give them my business.

I would agree with other reviews that this is by far the best nail salon in the area. I have done gel every time and it lasts over two weeks.

This is the best of all the crappy nail salons in the area. They’re prices are lower than the surrounding salons but still expensive compared to nearby Astoria.
I come here in a pinch and they always do an okay job. I have yet to have a hassle free experience which makes going to this salon seem more like a chore and less of a treat.
Giving it three stars instead of two since most of the staff is friendly and they have a good range of gel colors.
Be prepared to wait. And wait.

Was a nice place and the nail tech was very sweet, my fiancé got a fabulous foot massage and back rub… I had a nice pedi and mani!

I have come here 2x for a brazilian wax. On a Sunday afternoon, I made an appointment and was taken care of right away. On a weekend evening, I made an appointment and waited for 30+ minutes. The first wax I got was fantastic, clean and quick, she even did some tweezers work at the end. The second wax I got was quick but not so thorough, the lady burned my skin a little bit but as soon as I told her the wax was too hot, she was very apologetic and fixed the temp problem. I will come back because I hope if I tip well and consistently come back, they will take better care of me. Nothing fancy-​shamancy but I am willing to become a regular.

I have gotten about 15 manis and/​or pedis here and each time they are great.
Always good services and my nails are pretty and long lasting after each time.
Pricing are good too which makes it even better.
I live in LIC– this place is the best value.
