Made From Scratch is a Gourmet Dessert Company who’s signature treat is a Cheesecake in a jar. With over 20 varieties we only use the finest ingredients and only fresh fruit, these self serving cakes are only 140 calories. Other favorites are Chocolate Covered Bacon, PB&J, Salted Pretzel & Bacon Bit Brownies. Wash it all down with a cup of fresh brewed Peach Iced Tea or Lemonades and it’s the perfect mix.

History

Established in 2014.

DJ Dallas Green, celebrity DJ and tastemaker from Harlem, NY, is taking his skills in a new direction with the launch of Made from Scratch, a gourmet dessert company named to represent his love of food and DJing. Dallas is best known for touring the country with the NBA and globetrotting with Grammy Award Winning Rapper/​Actress Eve, but a passion for the culinary arts has always been close to his heart. The ambitious entrepreneur, always in search of an opportunity to fulfill his dreams, will begin the next chapter of his life in March 2014 with the opening of his new pop-​up booth in Long Island City’s Food Box (inside the Falchi Building).

Dallas’ creations, including over 20 varieties of his signature cheesecakes in a jar, popular brownie cookies and chocolate covered bacon, have taken center stage and are available for purchase at his new booth. Dallas, the sole owner and operator, prides himself on using fresh, gourmet ingredients and preparing every treat treat with love.

Dallas has always enjoyed cooking for his close friends and family, but his passion for the culinary arts grew exponentially in his travels to DJ residences throughout the world. An eager apprentice, Dallas often scoped out kitchens in various restaurants and sought the counsel of gourmet chefs who were happy to school him in the arts of the trade.

A quick learner, Dallas culled his techniques and has taken huge leaps to share his culinary talents with a broader audience, even auditioning for the upcoming season of Fox’s Master Chef Cooking Show. After successfully making it through the grueling rounds of the audition process, Dallas earned a spot on the show and is currently awaiting the call back for his appearance.

In the interim, Dallas’ creations, including his signature jarred cheesecakes offered with a variety of toppings, popular brownie cookies and chocolate covered bacon treats can all be purchased at his new shop in Long Island City, NY.
