I loved their cupcakes! Great workmanship on words, taste, coloring and packaging. Hope their stores open in the city so I can have them more often!

Ordered a Macaroon cake for my friend’s daughter’s 1 year old birthday party as a surprise and became the instant hit of the party. Not only because it looks great but it made ME look great. Single ladies took notice. I got street cred. Then again, this was a baby party so no single ladies. *sigh. What made this a winner was also the phrases and baby Skylar’s name on random roons’. The customized phrases that Sophia(?), from customer service, helped me pick out was witty, charming and hilarious. High Fives! Presentation: WINNER! Taste-wise: Yummy. Read notes. Vanilla: OMG. staple flavor. Like a little cookie. I want more. Jasmine Tea: Girly. Tasted like what it would smell; fragrant. Earl Grey: This was grey in color so not as fun as its colorful cousins but one bite and I’m like ah… this tastes ‘classy.’ Subtle and chocolate for a touch of naughtiness. Cotton Candy: this one tastes artificial. Like that bubble gum you used to eat back in elementary school… at my age at least. I would order this for kids, not for adults. Lavender: I was concerned that it may taste artificial and the only thing I can tell from it was that it tastes like my ex-girlfriend’s bar of soap. Well, I wouldn’t know cuz I don’t eat soap but it certainly tasted like what it would smell like. I know, weird. All in all, I was impressed. The customizations look incredibly sharp and professional. It doesn’t smear and it felt like there was a genuine quality to them. I was told that for my order, they are freshly baked. I’m impressed and would consider creative ways to use this as gifts going forward.

Ordered a macaroon tower for my company holiday office get together and people went apeshit for them. I asked for a mixed variety and I watched how quickly the tower emptied out. The price was very reasonable and the quality is second to none. Will definitely utilize Swallow My Words for other corporate events.

They are my «go to» shop to order corporate gifts. I’ve ordered several times from them for various corporate clients with their logo. All of the recipients absolutely love them. Also had these as wedding favors at a friend’s wedding. From the packaging to the taste was an absolute hit. 5 out of 5 on customer service. 5 out of 5 on packaging and presentation 4.7 out of 5 on taste and flavor selection 4.5 out of 5 on pricing… bulk orders make sense. As for retail, the macs are a bit smaller than other shops but i think overall the taste and the ability to customize more than makes up for the slightly smaller size. Their macs are great but their customizable chocolates are to die for… :)

I ordered a box of 15 different flavors of macarons, to sample for my upcoming wedding. I was so disappointed! On the plus side: –The ordering process was convenient and the shipping was fast(it shipped the next business day after I ordered, and it was delivered the following day). –The cookies were packaged securely and cutely in a clear plastic box with a pink ribbon and a flavor key card. –The appearance of the macarons is true to the pictures on the website. They look colorful and fun and the colors coordinate well with the intended flavors. –The cookies have that crisp shell and chewy center that they should have. One neutral note: –The website says the macarons are about 2″ but they are just under 1.75″. Nothing earth shattering, just an FYI. The unfortunate stuff: –For all the flavors in my box, the cookies were much too firm, and the filling was much too light and gushed out from between the cookies. –The flavor, this was the worst part of all. The macarons tasted tasted artificially flavored, and a few had no flavor at all and just tasted like almonds. Here is a breakdown of all the flavors I tried: Cherry Pie — tasted like artificial cherry, like a liquid cough medicine Lavender — tasted like artificial lavender, like a drugstore body spray Nutella Caramel — this tasted like Nutella but not caramel Pistachio — tasted like artificial pistachio, which I didn’t even think was possible prior to tasting this Raspberry Crème & Raspberry Jelly — tasted like artificial berry blend Dark Chocolate Peppermint — had a slight flavor of peppermint, but no chocolate flavor Coffee — tasted like artificial coffee, like a cheap pre-packaged coffee cookie Orange Crème — tasted like artificial orange, like an orange soft drink Mango — no flavor, just tasted like almonds Blueberry — tasted like artificial blueberry, like a bad blueberry candy Key Lime — tasted like artificial lime, reminded me of a lime-scented cleaning solution Jasmine — no flavor, just tasted like almonds Apple Caramel — no flavor, just tasted like almonds Earl Gray — tasted like actual earl grey tea, but the flavor was very light Pina Colada — no flavor, just tasted like almonds Nutella Caramel and Earl Grey were the best of the lot, but still not in the same league as macarons from other bakeries(even the frozen chocolate and vanilla ones from Trader Joe’s are much better than these). And like all the other flavors, the filling was too soft and was coming out between the cookies. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from Swallow My Words for my event.
