World Class Cleaners

Poor poor service. They offer pickup but never pick up. They are all around unprofessional. I have spent countless hours just trying to have them deliver clothes on time. They lose clothing on a regular and claim to have outstanding service but they really do not. The owner should be ashamed of the people he has operating thing but he just gets defensive when you confront him.
As far as professionalism goes this is probably the worst cleaner in all of LIC. The do a good job IF you can actually get your clothes…

The service is great and they offer next day pick up. The owner Angelo is always very nice, and the staff is always welcoming. They also have an onsite tailor which altered two suits beautifully for me. I love this place.

Once again this cleaners has met my expectations. They came through in a pinch. The
very friendly and courteous. I will be using this cleaners for as long as I’m in Astoria. Trust them when. you need service!!!

World Class Thieves is more like it. After an issue where it took to weeks to get one shirt delivered, I closed the account speaking directly with the owner. A month later I see a charge from ex girlfriend for nearly $ 600. What type of company would just make unauthorized charges and not notify the account holder (and a closed account I may add). To think I have to go to court with a dry cleaner is crazy but I am going to make it my mission to let others know their business practices. Their service is horrible and the attitude they have is pathetic. This is NY. There are so many other good options. Just beware with this company. If the owner lies and makes fraudulent charges you can imagine what the employees do. Avoid at all cost.

Even when I had a few minor service issues, they did such a good job on my clothes that I kept coming back. After one too many run-​ins with the incompetent staff, I stopped coming here for good a few months ago.
I left things for alteration that hadn’t been touched, and then literally weren’t done the second, third, and fourth (!) times I came to get them. I had items lost. I had staff lie to me on multiple occasions, and then lie to me about the manager being available to speak.
The owner has always been very nice in person, but when this kept happening even when he was involved, I gave up.

Clothes were going to be delivered Wednesday. Then they realized they hadn’t written my information down properly. it was supposed to be delivered on Saturday but never was dropped off even though I had called to confirm. I called Monday and they asked for my information again. All said and done, it took about 9 days to get my things. I would have picked up myself but thought I would try the delivery since their hours aren’t the best (8 – 5:30)
Prices aren’t great (a tie was $ 8 to clean!). Note the ton of reviews that «aren’t recommended» for their nyc location where people seem to have issues using the delivery service as well.

I live in LIC and decided to give this place a try. I dropped off my blazer but when I came to pick it up, the girl couldn’t find it. I understand this can happen, but their customer service was very bad. They promised to find it and call back, but three days later, after no call, I went back. They were too busy to look for my item. I had to go there few times to check on the status. Unpleasant experience. Don’t think I will go back.
But maybe you will have a better experience!

I dropped off my clothes on a Friday for a delivery the next day at my hotel. Not only did they not deliver on time but I couldn’t get in touch with them to figure out a solution over the weekend.
I called them on Monday and they shipped the laundry over which shows so good will after all.

I would have put 5 starts until 3 days ago. They are extremely friendly, timely, and most of all, unbelievably inexpensive. The manager (probably the owner, Angelo, I think)) is very professional and actually remembered me from a year ago.
A few days ago, I went to pick up my winter clothing. I picked up all my coats, but my other 3 sweaters were no where to be found. 2 of them are VERY rare and expensive, and it will be impossible to replace. I, of course, mentioned/​emphasized this. A very nice lady, Gabriella, said that she would call me when they found my sweaters. Apparently, they have 2 – 3 cleaning facilities, and «maybe» my sweaters were sent to a wrong facility and «probably» have lost the proper ID tags. I was told that it would take at least a week for them to find my sweaters. Considering how serious this matter is (LOSING items!!), how professional they are, and how proud they are of their business, I expected that the owner himself would call me to update on their search. I am now wondering if the owner has been informed of this matter.
One of 3 sweaters has a very precious memory value, and I would be so so sad if it doesn’t turn up. I hope they will find all of my sweaters.

Talk about one heck of a deal.
I recently moved to Long Island City, and found World Class Garment Care on Unilocal.They do an excellent job, and the prices can’t be beat. Fun fact: this dry cleaner has shops in Manhattan, but they’re move expensive because of their location. You know your clothes are in good hands because they dry clean designer apparel.
The one downside is that they are only open 8 – 5 pm on Monday-​Friday, so I either grab my clothes early in the morning, or I wait till Saturday. That being said, the price and quality can’t be beat!
The owner and the staff are very friendly, and they always take a moment to chat with you. It’s nice being recognized despite the fact that I’ve only been there a few times.
I highly recommend their services; they can’t be beat!

Brought a few items for dry cleaning. All my items were inspected beforehand and I was told if certain items would cost more (ie. my fur vest). Really quick turn-​around and great customer service!

The only compliant I have is that they close at 5 PM Mon-​Fri, so I cannot pick up my stuff after work. I do live really close and can come in the mornings around 8 AM when they open or on Saturdays.

I discovered World Class four years ago through a somewhat scientific method of testing the closest dry cleaners to my apartment (that review here:

I’ve been going there since and recently learned that this location handles all the actual cleaning for another spot in Greenwich Village that takes orders from bold faced names. Only, here, the prices are far lower.
In terms of cleaning, there are usually no issues at all. I’ve never given them anything particularly hard to clean (blood or wine, etc.), but they’ve cleaned whatever typical messes I could throw at them. I always get my shirts back with collar stays and holders in place to keep the collars from looking smashed… a nice bonus I haven’t seen everywhere. In addition, any chopped or cracked buttons (which sometimes can happen because of the heat from the pressing machine) are fixed immediately.
Highly recommended.
