Don’t GO unless you have your own camper! We made reservations, check in was at 3 according to our paper work. When we got there, we were told we had to wait till 4. Ok so that’s ok we left and explored. Came back at 4. Waited for 30 minutes because of problems with the other people, having problems with the park. Got our key. Went to something we didn’t think we reserved. Before we took anything out of the car we checked out the room. I pulled down the bed and there where bugs in both the beds. We went Back to the office and they gave my husband a key to another room and said the room that she gave us wasn’t ready. But it was all made up and looked ready. Next room same problem!, we did get our money back but when you are ready for a vacationing on do you need to have most of your day fighting about what you should be getting. Cac I just say the outside o the building was dirty the counter to pin the bathrooms were horrible. We weren’t told the pool was shut down. 130 per night really!!! I have bug pictures!

Don’t waste a minute… Go to this rv resort now! Just got back from 4 great days. Backed in our motorhome on to our site 10 feet the edge of the ocean. So cool looking out our bedroom window-​looked like we were on a boat! Great sunset into the water from our rv and from Sunset Point under a tiki hut. Clean restrooms, showers and campground. Fabulous Staff — Thank you Debbie, Janet and Angie. They put us in the best site! The campground has a beautiful beach with lounge chairs provided, tiki huts for shade and right next to Lobster Crawl Pub with great food, full bar and steel band in the evening.(Pool and hot tub were getting a face lift but the pool will be great as it sits high up on a deck overlooking the ocean.) A general store that has everything from wine to coconut ice cream bars. Fishing, water slide for the kids. Bring your boats-​there are slips. Will book again for next year! One caveat, go for the higher priced site, the lowest price site was very, very tight.

Had a great time camping and fishing for the weekend! They have a store on the property but only use it for emergencies cause the prices are a little crazy. They have a small bait selection and the store is closed by 6:45pm so buy what you need early. Site was clean and right by the pool and showers which was helpful since we had my 3 year old son.

If you eat at the lobster crawl in the RV resort, The waitress Rebecca is excellent and does a great great job. Best margarita in town. The food is very very good this year

Our issues with this place started long before we even made it here. I spent well over a week trying to book a reservation for my dad and his wife. No one ever answers the phone or return the voicemails. We were able to book the cabin through their corporate office who stated that they had several complains regarding this problem. Our second problem is how rude the people at the gate are. My husband and I are staying 5 minutes away at my In laws place and were dropping my dad and his wife off at fiesta key. Because you MUST give a list of 6 people who might be entering the property upon reservation, my name and my husbands name were on the list. We were greeted by a «gentleman» who yelled at me to get out of the car and come to the window. Ummm. no. He’s not a cop and I’ve never heard of the driver having to get out of the car in a drive through window. Someone else jumped in decided to take care of us stuck his head in the car and was yelling at everyone for names. Then he asked us to pay $ 10 each for my dads wife not having her ID (it was inside the cabin). I explained that we were just dropping them off something I did not have to give an explanation for being that We are listed as people staying in the cabin. Day 2 came around and I went to pick them up. I was greeted by someone else at the door who decided to keep my ID until I was leaving. Again… I’m on the list as someone who can sleep over so I don’t see why I have to leave my ID behind to pick someone up. Needless to say we’re never booking here again.

I wish I had listened to the reviews… We decided to cut our losses & left a day early. We were on lot 180, it SUCKED!!! You don’t have any privacy. There is a dock right in front of you & people walk by allllllllll day long! The the boat wash is right outside your window, directly behind the RV. So, you constantly have people in your space. This space is also about 500 ft from the tent campsites. The people is the campsites were obnoxious w/​their VERY loud music. Then, there must have been some sort of reunion going on. All of the people in this group were loud & rude! They acted like they were the only people in the RV park. They completely took over the pool & waterfront areas. Not that I would have gotten in the pool anyhow, it was VERY dirty! The best part of this RV park is the restaurant/​bar, The Lobster Crawl. MAYBE if the «reunion» wasn’t going on, it would have been a different situation. But, we talked to two other couples that were very disappointed as well. Almost positive we won’t be going back.

This spacious 28-​acre resort located on an island surrounded by gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico, has an on-​site marina. In recent years, I’ve stayed here with my best friend’s family in their private RV when they’ve booked for summer months. I’ve also stayed in the resort’s now called «villas» and have never encountered a problem up until this time. The hospitality of a business is vital, it’s a deciding factor if I will be a returning guest or not.
Made my reservations online (
) and requested a corner unit, which surprisingly was granted. Originally, we were given villa M13: sleeps up to 4 people, 2 full beds, a dorm size fridge (4.5 cu. ft.), microwave, towels and linens. The unit was perfect for the two of us. It was nice and clean, and yet, not clean enough by my standards. I do not and will not touch the TV’s remote control for example or all door knobs or any kind of handles without first disinfecting them. Yup, I know my OCD goes on overdrive even on vacation mode. Long after we had already settled, we noticed the AC unit leaking through the wall and onto the floor. Not good!
We walked over to the office and the ladies who first checked us in lucky for me were still working past closing time. One of them offered a quick solution, «a new RV, it’s an upgrade!» she says. My partner and I really did not want to relocate. We were both tired and starting to get cranky. The maintenance guy was gone for the day; there were no more villas available so that was out of the question. We certainly did not want to spend the remaining Friday evening relocating but at this point we had no choice. Reluctantly but happily, we accepted the upgrade to a travel trailer (RV #547) on the opposite side. Our new location was over by the sunset point. Here you can meet other guests, sip on your favorite Jesus Juice and simply enjoy the stunning sunsets. Sadly, we missed the sunset that evening since we were too busy relocating :(
The RV looked great and smelled brand spanking new! Fully furnished! Sleeps up to 4, 1 queen bed, bunk beds, cable TV, extra linens, towels, pillows & sheets, bathroom accessories plus a FULLY equipped kitchen. Outside you have a small porch with chairs. Bring your citronella candles and bug sprays. These mosquitoes and no-​see-​ums are relentless!
The next day after a long day of fun in the sun, we came back just in time to watch the sun disappear below the horizon. We headed back to our unit only to find it riddled with microscopic ants all over the kitchen counter, breakfast table and our non-​refrigerated food items. We had to throw all of it out (cereals, dried fruits, bananas, pears, cookies, crackers, sugar, etc.). There were even regular black ants in the bathroom. The office was closed but I remembered seeing a can of Raid in the kitchen cabinet. Not a good sign when there’s a can of Raid in your unit. So the spraying began every two hours or so! SMH!
A few dollars down the drain but we were there to have a good time and build on memories. My partner was eager and determined to get up at 5am to go fishing but for some strange reason, she could not bear to leave my side so early in the morning: P
We went snorkeling and noticed that the water is infested with upside-​down jellyfish, members of the Cassiopea family. They look like harmless plants but swimmers beware! They vary in sizes and colors. We also went canoeing with a very nice young man, who was kind enough to take us on a tour where he showed us a shipwreck from one of the last severe storms.
On our last day, we went to ask for a late check-​out. They were very busy. A woman comes out from an office to help with the line, so I ask her for a late check-​out. She checks the system making sure no one is coming into that unit and she says «Ok, 4-​ish, 5-​ish and that’ll be $ 25.00 extra». I started to explain to this woman who I assumed was the manager because of her take-​charge attitude (which is great) that I had no intention of paying extra for a late check-​out since I was inconvenienced. So the lady who first checked me in quickly butts-​in and says «but we upgraded you», as if she did me a huge favor. I’m sorry, but I did not cause the leak in the villa and I did not ask for an upgrade to a more stylish unit infested with ants. No, I did not say that but I should have! So the lady helping me realized what was happening and said it was fine to stay at no extra cost. It was obvious that she wanted me out of the office by the way she was rushing and talking over me. She wasn’t interested in listening to my reasoning for not wanting to pay the extra charge. I felt a tad bit degraded in front of the other guests.

I just called… The Marriott is only $ 18 more a night… They definitely have running water :)

We booked a 1 night trip here without reading the Unilocal site. After reading the reviews, I was very concerned, and considered trying to get my money back and staying at a different place, but decided to give it a shot, and I’m very glad I did.
While we ended up not staying the whole night (we got badly rained out and our tents were not in good enough shape to last the night) but we still got a chance to enjoy ourselves on the beautiful location during the day. The tiki bar and grill was run by an energetic server who was fantastic. The woman who checked us in was friendly and kind. We really had no problems with this place except the weather, which obviously couldn’t be changed by the staff.
By no means was I completely wow’d by anything in particular, but I think the terrible reviews here are pretty outdated. I was pleasantly surprised by a totally enjoyable experience. I think people are a little too hard on this place. But then again I didn’t go into this expecting a perfect place with lots of things to do and perfect accommodations.

Managed to book a two week stay here in the high season. Yeah! Arrived and went to check in. We were
told that at that moment there were no more full hook up sites. Boo! But then Lydda (sp) asked if we would
be interested in a spot in the old Employee loop. She had another employee come and show us the spot. We
took it.
Turned out to be a great spot. It was shaded and spacious and on roads less traveled. Being from the Northwest,
I was having a tough time in full sun with the humidity.
We got ourselves set up and were trying to get satellite service, which turned out to be the only issue with this site.
Our satellite is mounted to the top of our RV. A employee drove by and asked if we were having problems, we said
yes. He told us that cable comes with the spot. Our issue, we have never been able to get our cable to work.
He introduced himself as Radar and offered to assist us in trying to get it to work. Lo and behold he managed to push the
right buttons, wiggle the right cords, and viola! We had cable.
During the entire two week stay anytime we saw him, he would come over, call us by name and ask how we were doing.
Now, that’s customer service.
A nice park at MM 70, plan on a full day to do a trip to Key West. But we found the location perfect.
They have a nice raised pool, that overlooks the gulf. A marina, and a small store. As well as a café and bar that
is open for lunch and dinner.
We had dinner there twice, both times food was very good and reasonably priced. On Sundays they offered a breakfast
buffet for $ 8.95. My son and I took advantage of that.
Almost forgot (head slap) to mention the great happy hour. Drink prices are amazing and drinks are very generous, if you
know what I mean. No food happy hour specials though.
We had fun fishing in the canals and off the bulkheads and caught a few little guys. We didn’t keep any, but it was fun
catching all these weird looking fish.
We would definitely come back if we are ever back down here in Florida. The other campers and most of the staff were
very welcoming and friendly.

First time staying at this camp rv site
The place was nice but I wish they had more stuff to do around the camp we couldn’t swim in the beach area was too cold windy and the conditions where not good but we can’t control that
The boat ramp it’s great and if you have a kayak they won’t charge you nothing to use it
The bait shop it’s ok not the biggest selection on bait but shrimp always work right in front of the baits shop is a little bridge you can fish from it most of it is just little mangrove snappers and grunts
But I caught a little nurse shark too so is fun little spot
The best bathrooms are the one next to the bait shop really nice modern and clean I was actually impressed the bathrooms by the entrance is ok just old looking but most of the time clean
Overall I like the place and I might come back again

Steadily going downhill in our opinion. Our site has a chewed up cable and we had to find a wrench to turn on the water because the spigot handle was broken off. There is only WiFi by the office or tiki hut, or if you purchase it. The pool is not heated and is in need of cleaning and rehab. Disappointing. Will not return.

There is nothing I can say even remotely positive about my recent visit. I have been here several times over the last two years and every time I visit it continues to get worse. The only reason I continue to come back is because of the fishing. There is a bridge that is close that I enjoy fishing off of. With that being said my list visit was so horrifying I don’t even think the fishing would bring me back.
Long story long here is what happened. Before we came for the week between Christmas and New Years we made reservations in August. We needed two sites and were able to book across from each other. I travel in a thirteen foot teardrop and the other party travels in a thirty three foot class c motorhome. Originally I was not thrilled with the sites but I completely understand how busy it was going to be at the end of December so I was content with the site location and being across from the other party I was traveling with.
December comes and we check in, upon arrival there were about six people in front of me and only one woman helping people. After about a thirty minute wait it was my tun. After providing my name the woman lets out a sigh and says they moved your sites and I have no idea why. After about then minutes of rearranging things they found two spots on the complete opposite side of the park we booked. The sites we got were 346 and 348. Site 348 was small with a tiny paved slab. Site 346 was just as small but had a ton of other issues. There was a busted water pipe so the ground was soggy and muddy, the cable had been cut so there was no television service. This on top of both sites were covered with dog crap. The site was so soggy stabilizer jacks from the RV couldn’t be used. The site was too small for the thirty three foot RV and there was no other sites viable to move to. Between the two sites we paid for six nights over $ 1,000.
Now lets talk about amenities. They have a bait and tackle store that basically has banner hours. They close for luck and other breaks throughout the day. I tried to visit the store three times and all attempts found a closed sign on the door that stated will return shortly. Restrooms and Showers. There are two shower locations. The first is near the bait store, it was closed for remodeling, how can you remodel a shower/​restroom during the busiest time of year? This means people from over 200 sites were all using the front shower/​restroom located near the entrance to the campground. Half of this bathroom was also closed. The sign stated closed for cleaning however it never opened throughout my stay, this left four shower stalls and three toilets, one urinal. This shower/​restroom location was absolutely filthily. The floor was covered in dirt, toilet paper, paper towel and miscellaneous trash. The shower stalls were small, dirty and all smelled like a dirty urinal. I never saw throughout my six night stay anyone in the area cleaning. And get this, they have a dog walk, at one point they were so overbooked I saw tent campers on the dog walk.
The campground has a restaurant on site, because of the deplorable conditions found throughout the park I did not dare to try it. The campground also has boat slips this is quite convenient if you are traveling with a boat. There is also a pool on site, nothing fancy.
I asked the staff several times for a picnic bench, after day four of asking and never receiving I finally gave up. I attempted to ask for a partial refund but was never able to get anyone of authority to authorize it. I have also been unable to find any type of email or physical address to send my concerns to only a phone number where you are told to leave a message and someone will get back to you.
It is completely unacceptable the amount of many paid to stay here and have the worst service and accommodations possible. How can they not have enough staff or campground hosts to adequately run the park is beyond me. I would say 90% of the sites are small to the point you could reach out and your camper and touch the RV next to you. If your looking for spacious or clean stay away from here. If you looking for rude, rundown over crowded sites then this is your place.

Beautiful place to stay! They have RV sites cabins and a motel ! Restaurant and pool to! Very clean and amazing staff ! This place is the best place to stay in the keys !

I stayed at Fiesta Key Resort KOA in the 60s and 70s, about a 15 year visit over the Christmas Holidays, ending about 1980. My wife and her family did the same, which is where we met.
We took a trip in July this year (2014) and were pleasantly surprised. The resort fulfilled our memories or what it always was. Many things were upgraded from what was there, and at least, stayed to what it always was. It was never a five star resort, always had some issues, but that was part of the allure.
The Encore corp which recently has purchased the resort after the whole bankruptcy from the bank after KOA sold it around 2008 to investors. They were going to tear down the whole place and build condos, which had left many things less than perfectly maintained. It is a work in progress, but honestly it always was.
It is still a great location, fun campground and the office staff was very friendly. I had read some of the reviews and was a little hesitant. Now I will say that we didn’t stay over a weekend, which may be where some of the noise and trashing of the place may occur, but I will give it a 10 out of 10 for the week we stayed there and can’t wait for our next trip there.

Fiesta Key RV Resort has been ruined by Encore.
I have been visiting this location since the 80s, when KOA owned it. I was really excited to visit again after being away for a few years due to military culture (i.e., living in other states). I was meeting my parents & we were going to enjoy Encore’s Fiesta Key Resort together. My parents were also very familiar with the property. They were under the impression that there is security at this location — not true. When I arrived around 11pm the «guard» was gone & the gate was lifted for anyone to enter. I thought it was a one-​time occurrence, however, every night while walking my dogs I saw the same scenario. Anyone could pull right in & there is no security at all.
One night I caught the «guard» after waiting at the entrance for a few minutes. I told him that I was concerned about the gate being left open & unattended because my parents would be staying longer than I, & I was concerned about their safety. The guard shrugged his shoulders & said, «What do you want me to do about it?» I wanted him to do his job! I later found out through other employees that there isn’t any security at all Mon.-Wed. Terrible! I became annoyed by the security guard’s careless attitude & told him that I wanted him to do his job & that HE was the one wearing the security shirt. His ego must have been bruised because he said that he didn’t need to listen to my complaints — he walked into his office & shut the door in my face. I walked to the window & told him that «as the professional that [he] should have…» he cut me off & said «as the professional, you shouldn’t talk to me like that.» I informed him that HE was the professional & that I was the guest. I continued & let him know that he SHOULD have been interested in my concerns & SHOULD have told me that he was sorry for my discomfort & that he would take my message to his supervisor. Instead, he said, «I’m just doing what they tell me to do» & looked past me to address the man in the car that was checking in — & to indicate that he was done with me. He was extremely rude & served as a terrible resort representative.
I learned that the property is understaffed. That is no excuse for having an unsafe property. I learned that employees are paid $ 8.75/hr. WHAT!!! This property management cannot even take care of its own, FEW, employees?! I learned that temps are brought in to make up for the lack of employees.
Although I saw a man walking around picking up garbage, there was lots of garbage in the rocks where the RVs parked. I was constantly commanding my VERY SMALL dogs to «Leave it» when they found straw wrappers, candy bar wrappers, etc. on the rocks & and around the property. Even my dogs were not safe on this property.
The villas were just mini-​houses on a trailer — with wheels! This probably allows the property to avoid paying taxes on them.
The RV lots were very tight. There is one RV section where the people are essentially permanent residents, with the outside set up with all sorts of decorations, full-​refrigerators, outdoor-​patio furniture, etc. It seemed more like a trailer park than a resort RV area.
The restaurant doesn’t open until 3pm. Many times during my visit I wanted to visit the restaurant/​tiki bar before 3pm. There are many guests outside & near the restaurant very early in the day with nowhere to go.
The convenient store had terrible hours, too. It closed right before dinner time — when people may actually need something.
We had tents in the RV section. An entire family was allowed to set up 4 tents in the RV section. This was uncomfortable and unsightly.
The weekends were an absolute disaster on this property. It was really overcrowded. People blared Spanish music. Kids rode their bikes through the streets late at night — cussing & screaming. The pool was loaded with people. Many people were diving into the pool, even with a sign that clearly read «NO DIVING.» One man almost hurt a little girl when he dove — his legs hit her hand & the ball that she was swimming with — knocked the ball right out of her hands. It was a filthy place. It felt more like a cheap apartment complex pool in the ghetto than a RESORT pool.
The RVers had multiple problems with their internet & power connections.
Children were allowed to drive jet-​skis (illegal) from this property.
One weekend, while sitting at the tiki bar, I saw one person who found a star-​fish. He showed his friends, then looked around & wrapped it in a towel & walked away (illegal). There is no regulation at all on this property.
It was really a sad experience. It is disheartening to know that this property is being destroyed after being sold by KOA. It used to be one of my favorite places on Earth.

So, your old pal Rick Jeans finally did it: He loaded up the old Chevy Malibu and headed off to a vacation wonderland in paradise known as Fiesta Key RV Resort in the Florida Keys. Now, I know what you are thinking, «Rick Jeans, you live in Pompano Beach, which is in Florida and it’s, what, like a two hour drive or whatever to the Florida Keys. Why’d it take you so long to go see the paradise for yourself?» Well, buckaroo, Rick Jeans has things to do too, like work and catching all the games live on cable sports TV. (Go Panthers!) So never you mind about why it took me so long to make the trip of a life time, but I did and now I am here posting about why Fiesta Key RV Park makes heaven a place on earth, just like Belinda Carlisle sang all those years ago even though I don’t think she had an RV Park in the Florida Keys in mind. Probably some cool dude she had a thing for. A real cool Tony, no doubt.
Now, looking at all these other reviews here, people need to get a grip on the reality of the situation. Don’t be such a whiney pants and get hip to the beat in the Keys. Hey, it’s five o’clock somewhere! (Note: Fiesta Key is in the Eastern time zone.) Fiesta Key – Spanish for Party Key – is a party waiting to happen. All you have to do is turn up. On Saturday nights, a cool cat named DJ Radar Love spins the tunes old (Elvis) and new (ABBA) and makes the dance floor shake at the local bar and restaurant which is called the Lobster Crawl I think. He works for tips so show the man some love. (Hint: Money!) Every one dances. Even your old pal Rick Jeans showed off his moves including the Electric Slide. It’s like going to a wedding where you have to buy your own drinks. And speaking of which, the Bud Light tastes exactly like you’d expect and the pitchers are made of plastic. I also tried a Jagermeister but that was a bit much and I’ll leave that for all you younger Unilocalers out there. Anyway, every one is superfriendly and you will make new friends that will last a lifetime or until they go home to Ohio where they are from.
When you’re not dancing to DJ Radar Love and his DJ Radar Love show, there’s a hot tub you can’t use, washrooms for getting good and clean like your momma showed you, and a store selling all the stuff you could need for a good time in the sun. (Doritos, suncream, Sudoku books, etc.) There are people who live there on boats at Fiesta Key! Man, that’s the life! Some of them offer fishing tours and maybe, if you’re lucky, you’ll catch THE BIG ONE!

This place could use a lot of work and it sounds like Encore is going to overhaul the RV Campground this summer. Not a minute too soon. We stayed here a week in February 2014.
We found the campground via a Passport America promotion and stayed 50% off for a week. I believe 50% off is still too much money for the RV Campground. The spot they sent us to was too small and after 1 ½ hours of problems, we finally were given a spot that fit our RV (36′ Class A) but learned later someone else was already paying for the space for a money but out of town.
The laundry list of issues with the campground include:
— Awkward spaces with a concrete patio in an odd place, hard to pull in a RV close enough to the hookups. The campground spaces are also very muddy and have an odd ‘smell’
— Laundry room is often filled with broken machines; one day there was only one washer operating (out of ten). The change machines rarely worked and the front office did not have enough quarters on hand.
— Electrical/​Water issues — At least twice we lost power/​water to our space with no warning. They are ‘fixing’ the electrical/​water, but a little notice would be helpful.
— The office was chaotic/​understaffed. One of the office personnel was incredibly helpful, although you could tell she was overwhelmed by the chaos.
— Quiet hours: 11 PM to 8:00 PM; this involved a few late night ‘parties’.
— Resort Fee: This RV park is part of Encore, we were already spending $ 50 a night. I had to pay an extra $ 3 per night for our stay for a ‘Resort Fee’. In Las Vegas, a Resort Fee covers the TV and WiFi but here it covers … (WiFi was an additional charge)
— High number of permanent/​snowbird residents who have settled into the RV park, full patios, etc…
This RV park had water, sewer, electric and cable hookups. There was a laundry room, which was clean but very expensive. They have a large playground, which our kids enjoyed.
Would I recommend this park? Maybe. Would we come back? Probably, because of the location not the RV campground.
Informational: We travel in a 36′ Class A RV.

This campground, unfortunately, is not like it once was. And I say this with upmost sympathy, because this campground used to be great and especially convenient. However, in past years, it’s changed hands in management multiple times, and the management it currently is under, is far less than adequate. From the moment we arrived, their security guard –Brent– has constantly felt the need to procure more than one visit to our campsite to complain about our behavior. We have multiple kids staying with us (5 under 13, two that were 17, and one 18 year old) and the first visit Friday night was to tell us that our kids’ behavior was unacceptable. We asked how, and he said they «we’re swarming like bees!», which I’m guessing means that they weren’t following suit in an orderly line. So after reprimanding the kids, we went on enjoying the great location. But it wasn’t even an hour later when he decided to stop by a second time, complaining that my 17 year old son wasn’t old enough to drive our golf cart, and ordered us to park it. However, it clearly stated in the main office that the age required was, in fact 16. And in top if that, the next day, my 18 year old son was driving, and not surprisingly, Brent stopped us again. This time, he said that we had to be OVER 18! But that was not the worst. The worst was Saturday evening, when Brent absolutely blew his top. He drove quite speedily to our campsite, stomped in the brakes, and began his tantrum. He said that the kids needed lights to ride they’re bikes at night, the 18 year olds were no longer allowed to drive the cart, the kids’ behavior was unacceptable, and we were acting unruly. He then lectured us on campsite behavior, and then called the sheriff. After the sheriff arrived, Brent and the sheriff literally parked two sites down from us, and stayed there, watching us, as if we were about to blow up the place. Finally, after a sizable amount of time had passed, both left. This wouldn’t even have bothered us that much, but throughout out stay, we saw kids riding bikes without light, without supervision, and acting unruly, but he didn’t bother to stop them. It was more than a little odd.
And along with Mr. Brent, the campsite cannot live up to its former glory. It looks unkept. There are weeds everywhere, and the pool had a sickly green algae along the pool floor. The place was dirty, the bathrooms were literally missing shower heads, the billiards room was closed, and the store sold no sweets whatsoever. This is a campsite me and my family had been coming to for the past 20 years. I hate to say this, but I’m glad we only booked a 2 night stay, and that we might not be coming back.
So ya, Brent was not least child– or family– friendly and a nuisance the entire time, and the grounds are no longer polished and kept.

We stayed here for a weekend in May. We rented a cottage for two nights. The photos of the cottage online were so nice and walking through the door at first glance it was nice as well until you really started to look around. Wasn’t that clean and paint was peeling, doors wouldn’t shut, knobs off doors were missing.
We called to tell them we wouldn’t be checking in till 8pm check in was supposed to be after 4pm. When we got there we had no toilet paper, no towels, no sheets, and no soap! Because the office was already closed we had to go to the guard shack who was very dismissive with us and told us if we wanted those things we had to purchase a linen package which was $ 125 per stay. Which they never told us about when we booked the cottage. Really? In order to get toilet paper or soap you have to pay? But even if we wanted to «add» that package we couldn’t because the office was closed. So we had to quickly load up the kids and make it to the nearest store 20 miles away before they closed to buy all the necessities.
And to add to this our main TV in living room never, porch lights never worked and we only could get hot water on one of the days we stayed there. Which we complained to them about and was told they would send out maintenance which never showed.
The whole place needed some TLC, looked very run down. The only good thing was our water view.
It just sickens me that we stayed here and paid a little over $ 500 for two nights when we would of paid another $ 100 and stayed up the street at Ocean Point, which we have stayed before and loved!
