Finding a vendor that sells quality kit should be easier. I had my mind set on the elusive Long Beach Operator 1911 from Springfield Armory. I was tipped off that Adamson had a dozen in stock and I called to check. I had never been to their store and only saw their catalog once so I had no prior experience with them. At once I was impressed with the courtesy and breadth of knowledge. For those unaware the LB Operator was/is a variant of the Operator line of 1911’s made by Springfield to the specifications of the LBPD. They were made in small runs and limited shipments went out. Finding one, originally, was something that required a little bit of luck. There was no sign of a Long Beach Operator on Springfield’s website or catalogs.(I’m told this had since changed as the weapons popularity made it a stock item now.) The salesman knew the history of the weapon, and some small variations in the current run(MecGar mags rather than Wilson Combat 47D’s that once came with them.) and was able to place one on hold for me — despite the speed with which they sell — until I could make the drive down to start my paperwork. Once there I was greeted by polite staff and a quick and well organized process. They were efficient and very nice as a whole. I returned later to collect my new duty weapon and was again greeted by friendly and polite staff. My wife, not as enthusiastic about work equipment as I am, waited outside in the car. After several minutes she came in so my son could use the restroom. Some products caught her eye and she started shopping. The female clerk was friendly and made my wife comfortable, and before you knew it a half a dozen items were bagged and paid for. I’m not particularly impressed by kydex as a concealed carry option but the same clerk who helped my wife basically made a 100% refund offer, no questions asked, if I didn’t like the Blackpoint holster I was welcome to return it.(I did in fact like it.). The inventory is pretty normal like what you’d expect to find most places so there are no surprises. Prices are a little better than average but not amazing. Adamson is a law enforcement only sales store like ProForce and All-State so bring ID before you make the drive. Despite the stores small size they have an extensive inventory and catalog. I’d recommend this business for anybody looking for quality kit.

Shop closes at 5pm on weekdays. I arrived 10 minutes prior to closing and staff was able to help me out right away. Got what I needed and I was on my way! Thank you!

So I’m working and my boss let me come here today. The plan was to pick up a larger hard plate for my duty vest and one for my partner. Got here and sign on the door said showroom is closed. Gave an address to the other store on Katella. Didnt give a number so I don’t know if that store has what I need or if they are even open! Hope I don’t get shot at i the next couple of days. Is it me or does this place have a bad history dealing with vests?

Terrible service! My husband ordered a vest over a month ago, he has yet to see it. They asked if he wanted it sent to our house and he said yes because we live in Santa Clarita. He called three days ago to ask what happened, the person that answered said«oh it’s been sitting here in the office, who said it would be delivered?» Seriously? And to think he was referred by a coworker that said«oh they are great, I walked out with my vest same day»…

Ordered a vest, after 3 weeks of no delivery, i call and find out that they cancelled the order. No one called, no one emailed. and when I call in after waiting around i’m asked to come in to get a refund. I dont want to come in to get a refund. i’d like to get one over the phone and i also didn’t appreciate that no correspondence occured. i asked why the sales person couldn’t just call the distributor prior to selling me the vest to find out if they could sell it. would not go back

if ya don’t know specifically what you’re looking for, you would never find this place. Its a law enforcement only store that has all the needs for the profession. The gentlemen in this store were extremely helpful unperson, not he phone or through e-mail. I have never had to order anything from them as everything I wanted was in stock. bottom line, if ur in the business, you need equipment, go here!

My only complaint is: they do not sell uniforms and the like! Galls and their other competitors simply sink and I hate going there. Customer service here is superior and if you are looking for equipment and etc. come here!
