This is a great local youth theatre for kids who are just starting out in the business, or kids that really like the social aspect of theatre, and even for kids who are trying to hone in their skills to get larger roles. They have an emphasis on the ensemble here – everyone is in the ensemble, that’s what’s most important. Then you can audition for lead roles, and they do multiple casts to give kids more opportunity to do larger parts. Since the casts are very large, they can afford to rent a large theatre for the performances(Millikan High School), with full tech(lights, sound, etc.). As a voice teacher, I refer many of my students to MYART. It’s a wonderful theatre to get some solid training. And their performances are good quality too!

My daughter discovered MyArt last year and it is the best thing she has ever done. The people are wonderful, professional, and very welcoming! It is a great experience for kids by building confidence, making new friends and discovering a love for performing. We are on our 3rd production and definitely not our last. Thanks Myart!!!

Our entire family has performed with MYART for 7 years. What an amazing experience to participate in a show with your kids! It’s been really exciting to see all of these kids grow over the years. Our kids have had so much fun and learned a lot while performing in high quality productions!

My oldest daughter started doing MYART shows when she was five. She is now thirteen and still doing shows, now with my youngest daughter. They have made some great friendships with the kids, families and staff. Once you do a few shows, you begin to feel like you are a part of a big family. The director was in a musical theatre group when she was a kid, and it was her dream to have her own children’s theatre company– it is her passion, and it shows. All kids that participate get to be in the shows as ensemble actors/singers. If kids choose to try out for a lead part, MYART also multi-casts to give more kids a chance to get the lead parts. Parents can even try out for roles! The shows that they put on are very professional, with great costumes, makeup, and sets. It is a fantastic organization.

I have been involved with MYART for almost my entire childhood. I learned more than the basics of theater and art but I learned important skills for working with other people to create something wonderful. The staff is amazing and the experience is something I will never forget and I still go back and play from time to time.

My son had always been such a barnacle attached to me at all times. From the minute he stepped in the door at MYART his confidence started growing. he has been with them for 3 years now and my younger son is now participating as well. They have met kids who I know they will remain friends with for a very long time. MYART is run by a talented, respectful and compassionate staff. Both of my kids are very comfortable going to any of the staff members to discuss anything from what they had for lunch to help with lines or a song. I highly recommend MYART. My sons had zero experience theater and it didn’t matter in the least. They love every second they spend at rehearsals. This is an experience they will carry with them for a lifetime.
