We were happy with Albert as our inspector. Friendly and honest guy. Stefanie at Richland was very detailed and catered to our requests. She immediately contacted the gas company when they didn’t show up as well as the fumigation company AAA when they were running late. The only thing is that we had to wait all day for the fumigation company to show up past 5pm, but fortunately they were quick to set up. Good customer service overall.

From the first person I met which is the inspector to the people on the phone and then to the one doing the termite spraying all were very friendly and professional. The inspector was very detailed in going through the areas and very informative. They also addressed questions I had after they did the inspection over the phone. The person spraying and injecting the foam was very careful and answered any questions of concern of safety. Their quote was 15% lower than another company that quoted while being the most professional. I was able to get all of the paperwork emailed to me, pay with my credit card, and I got a Unilocal discount of $ 100. They were motivated to get the best work done for a reasonable cost, and not trying to do a fast job to just get paid. I don’t give many 5 stars, but I can’t think of what they could’ve done more. I found termites flying inside my house. Needed something done. After several inspections from various companies, Matt from Richland termite came through. He inspected my house and found where the termites were. He saw that my house had been fumigated before. He didn’t try to sell me on fumigating my entire house nor did he try and sell me a bunch of useless stuff to make money. He was honest and trustworthy. Very hardworking. He found a plumbing problem during his inspection which could have gotten much worse. I got it repaired. Scheduled the treatment day. Matt came, treated areas for termites and made repairs due to fungus and dry rot. I trusted MATT with my house. After he was done he called me and let me know about everything that he had done. Great guy! Great business! Very trustworthy! Very clean! Thanks Matt!

Richland was great. I had a very bad track record with exterminators who would flake out on my appointments completely. Of the 5 I called, Richland were 1 of 2 that actually showed up. However, they showed up on time (early in fact) and were super thorough. After getting two estimates, I went with them. They extremely informative and accommodating with my ridiculous work schedule. Their technician, Albert I believe, was very friendly and even alerted me about a bit of a wasp issue I had and gave me solid advice to clear that out. Just moved back into my house after getting it tented. Hopefully I don’t have to hear from them anytime soon (Stay away, bugs!), but if I needed to, I’d definitely call them again.

I originally reviewed two starts because when Sal came out he drew a diagram and saw a small infestation and some rotted wood and didn’t complete the inspection. He didn’t look in the attic, he didn’t look in the crawl space, he didn’t even look in any of the rooms in the house he just said that there is rotten wood at two of the doorways and he doesn’t know what is going on in the walls and he recommended tenting.
I edited my review to three starts because they called back quickly, made an appointment and he was here on time. After my original review I received a call from Todd (the owner) and he wanted to know what it was that happened so that it would not happen again to someone else.
I can not attest to their work due to the fact that they have other inspectors but I can say that I was very impressed with the fact that Todd took the time to listen to what happened and was surprised as that doesn’t normally happen. I respect the fact that the owner took responsibility and was very apologetic to what happened.
As stated they did call back quickly, they were very prompt with the appointment and the inspector called when he was on his way and was here on time.
That shows me that the company itself cares about their customers, If you do get an estimate which I would suggest as their customer service is good, I would suggest that you request any inspector but Sal.
The inspector that I got may not reflect on how the company is as a whole as the owner did take responsibility and was knowledgeable of the situation.

Terrific service. We had our house tented before moving in. Three years later, we called and asked if someone could come and check to see if termites returned. The company provides this service free of charge. Salvador Esqueda was professional and explained what tenting comprises and his assessment of our current risk. He conducted a thorough check of our home. I highly recommend using thus company.

We had our house tented 3 years ago just before we moved in by Richland. I called Richland to make sure we were still protected and didn’t have a re-​infestation. I was concerned because neighbors on all sides were tenting again. Sal from Richland came out, took a look at everything and told use we didn’t need to waste money with any preventive measures and everything was still good. I appreciate that kind of honesty and would recommend Richland.

Needed a last minute termite inspection and was able to get next day service. The inspector (Albert) was very friendly and thorough checking the exterior and interior of our place, keeping me informed of all the places where termites are usually found. Fortunately for us, our place was recently remodeled so we were in luck. Our inspection was needed for a refi.
The inspection was done in about an hour and I received the report back on the same day. Great service and will definitely recommend them to all my friends.

This company is really good. They sent Sal over to inspect my house. Sal is definitely a very honest person, plus he has a very cool personality. He was very up-​front/​honest when it came to telling me what kind of fumigation my house/​garage needed since I had different kinds of termites. After he left, I waited about a week to set up the subterranean fumigation for my house/​garage. The company sent out two guys (Matt and Guillermo). They were really professional and they got the job done fast. Overall I am very satisfied with the subterranean fumigation Richland did underneath my house (I’m also satisfied with the price they charged me, wayyyy cheaper than other companies). I am now looking forward to hiring them again so they can do the other type of fumigation which involves tenting the whole house. Thank you Sal, Matt, and Guillermo

Had the house tented couple weeks ago for termites and was very happy with the service and also had another part of the house treated for subterranean termites also. originally had their estimator come out and that was Albert and he was super and not sure how another review said he was shady??? This guy was super professional. I had several other estimates from other companies and they were not professional at all. I had a cheaper estimate but that company I did not trust and they seemed like they did not care if they got the business or not cheaper is not always better. I would strongly recommend them and would use again.

Our experience with Richland Termite was great. The office staff was pleasant and professional. The inspector was thorough and showed us problem areas that the «top named brand companies» never mentioned. The work was done in a timely manner and the quote for the work was more than reasonable since our home needed considerable work. We recommend Richland highly

I’m not sure why this co. Has good reviews. They screwed us said there was a leak from my master shower. My husband who is a contractor got under the house it was bone dry. Still we gave them the opportunity to come back out and recheck and they refused said nope there’s a leak wanted to charge 5800. Called termite right they came out no leaks. Call termite right!!! They are honest. If you are in escrow get your own termite report not the realtors apparently they get a kickback.

Being told that our home had termites was not exactly what we wanted to hear. However, my husband and I knew we couldn’t just ignore the problem. We received an estimate from a well-​known, large company a few years ago, and was quoted a price for tenting, which made our hearts sink to the pit of our stomach. Well, we knew it was time to pull the trigger last month and I consulted Unilocal for HELP. I read the reviews for Richland and had a rep come out to inspect. Although we were told the exact same thing the other company had advised, the price was much lower. We proceeded with the treatment, and they were professional, courteous and thorough, as we had forgotten a few items to bag in our haste to pack up. They bagged the items themselves, instead of throwing them away. We are extremely pleased with Richland Termite. We highly recommend them for your pest control.

Great termite company I needed an inspection over the holiday and everyone else was busy. They were able to get us in before closing and were very nice to deal with.

Richland did my in-law’s house back in 2008-​09, talked to Todd (owner) and selected them to fumigate my house in 2011, their price was one of the lowest and they give you a choice of either Vikane or MasterFume unlike some other companies who only use Masterfume (chinese product).
In short I have nothing bad to say about Richland, the fumigation seemed to work, I would definitely use Richland again the next time I need fumigation.

This company does great job! Especially if you get The guy Sal. He is very knowledgable about termites and he is also very responsible. He did a very thorough inspection for my house, told me where the problems with all the details. A few days before the fumigation, I found out I didn’t have enough bags for my food, he came all the way back from Temecula on the weekend to deliver some extra bags for me out of business hour.
Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with the service. I highly recommend you to use this company!!!

Dealing with termites is stressful in itself but thanks to Richland Termite and Construction the process couldn’t have been more smooth. We interviewed a total of 3 companies before deciding on Richland. Our inspector, Albert, was very knowledgeable and thorough in his inspection (he found spots the other 2 did not). He was not pushy at all and did not try to get us to commit to anything on the spot. The fumigation process went according to plan and as promised. Overall we’re very happy we decided to go with Richland. Price was very reasonable, too.

So I’ve owned my home for 25 years and have never had termite service. You could see that it was overdue. I used Unilocal to look up who to use as I’ve heard so many horror stories, so price wasn’t my biggest concern.
I was extremely nervous about the whole thing and while I have some complaints they really weren’t justified as it was more my lack of experience and nervousness.
The staff was extremely friendly. They were a little late getting started which cause me some grief, but they got right to it. I left in the middle… once again extremely nervous about leaving my house to all these people. They locked up when they were done and called to let me know.
In the end, the job went perfect.

When me and my wife moved into a new apartment in West LA, we realized that there was a small hole on the floorboards and we suspected Termites.
TLDR; After checking a few reviews we decided to call Richland and we were pleasantly suprised when Todd was able to show up at our door the same day!
On top of that, he inspected the holes and told us that these were treatable with a spot treatment and gave us a quote. The quote was way above our budget but he gave us advice on how to treat the termites ourselves!
Eventhough in the end we did not use their services, we were very happy with our limited interaction with Richland Termite.
