Imaginif Camps

Imaginif was my kids’ favorite out of 5 of the most popular camps in our area that they attended this past summer. My 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son participated in A-​mazing Race, Space Camp, and Sports Camp and loved all of them. I signed them up for this camp because I was intrigued by the concept; now that my family has experienced Imaginif, I am happy to attest that it exceeded my expectations.
Several aspects set Imaginif apart for me: the professional ambience that founders Sharon & David create with creative props and costumes, the intimacy of a family-​run camp and relatively small group of campers that makes for a more personal experience, and the unique enrichment activities that are offered. On the latter, my husband and I also benefited from our kids’ exposure to several of the enrichment activities. For example, Sharon & David organized a post-​camp activity for campers and families to go to Moffett Field to launch the Estes rockets the kids had built at Space Camp. It was an unforgettable experience that our family would never have known about if not for Imaginif. Our kids can’t wait to go back to Imaginif Camp next summer!

My 9 year old son has been to many summer camps in the Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Saratoga areas over the last 5 years. I have never seen him so enthusiastic about a camp before. He loved Imaginif and said it was his favorite camp ever. They do an amazing job of making learning fun in a positive and safe environment. The owners are very creative and very hands on. The staff were energetic and you could tell they really cared for the kids. The space they had for the camp was really large which gave the kids a lot of room for some hands on play. They had some amazing props for the science camp including space ships, mini hover craft, an air lock, climbing wall, rockets and so on. All camps should be this creative, safe, and fun for kids. We will be back next year for sure!

My two daughters attended the A-​mazing Race and Spy Academy Camps at Imaginif and they had a fantastic time! They said they felt like real spies in training because they learned about things real spies do. Each day they got to put their skills to the test with missions around the campus using a variety of spy gadgets. My daughters loved the laser obstacle course and the graduation at the end of the week where they were given an official personalized spy badge! During the A-​mazing Race, they enjoyed the different challenges, exploring foods from around the world, but their absolute favorite part of the camp was the zip line that went from one end of the gym to the other. When your kids ask you to drop them off early and pick them up late from camp, you know they are having a great time!
From a parents perspective, there is a good balance of physical activities and creative hands-​on activities that tie into the themes of the camp. There is also good use of indoor and outdoor space giving kids plenty of room to explore. The owners were friendly, very involved in the day to day activities and did a great job supervising all aspects of the camp. The counselors were also friendly and seemed to get to know the campers quite well. The quality of the staff at a camp can make or break a child’s experience, and it is clear that the staff at Imagnif truly love what they do!

«Awesome» says our 8 year old son when we ask him to describe Imaginif Camp. He attended the Amazing Race, Space and Sports camps during the 2013 summer and had a blast. He loved it so much that he didn’t want us to pick him up until the last minute! They put so much into planning, fun, creative, educational and entertaining activities. They even brought in experts in various sports to allow the students to learn from professional coaches and try new activities.
We highly recommend this summer camp and will certainly be signing up our sons again.
