Pazmany Bros. Landscaping is a full service landscape installation, renovation & maintenance company. We now offer hardscape (pavers, flagstone, etc.) and carpentry services. Located in Los Altos, with another office in Santa Clara, California, we offer over 30 years of experience in the residential and commercial industries.

Pazmany Bros. Landscaping has developed relationships with suppliers that help customers receive the best possible pricing. At Pazmany Bros. Landscaping, we take pride in offering our clients a full range of professional services for their properties. Pazmany Bros. Landscaping carries the proper licensing, insurance, and bonding to make sure that you have peace of mind while the work is being done.

History

Established in 1981.

Pazmany Bros. Landscaping is a second generation family owned and operated business.

Pazmany Bros. was founded by brothers Joe and Pete Pazmany. Joe Pazmany was a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and held a Bachelors of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture. His initial experience involved maintaining the golf courses for the City of Sunnyvale. Joe took his desire to create and put to work creating beautiful landscapes with his brother Pete. Joe recently passed after a valiant effort fighting cancer.

A second generation has now taken hold. Pete’s son, Peter currently oversees the day to day operations, and assists with estimates.

Our family brings a wide array of business know how to the industry. Our primary objective as a family operated business is to ensure that we deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction through our superior craftsmanship, attention to details, and timely response to customer needs.

Our backyard looks beautiful now; super easy ro maintain and the water bill will be drastically smaller. Although it is brand-​new it all looks and feels so natural as if our now outdoors paradise was always there. Pazmany’s people are great to work with. Cleaned up after themselves. Left me with helpful tips. They were punctual, fulfilled all we agreed on before. I calked several landscapers and Pazmany was the first to call back, set a time to inspect and followed up with an estimate pronto. I am very pleased!

I recently had my front yard landscaped with drought-​tolerant plants, removing the existing lawn. Peter and his work crew completed the job on time and to my satisfaction. He does his best to be sure the customer is satisfied, including follow-​up communication. Our existing sprinkler system was preserved and I did not need anything new. He has a good eye for how to make a yard look nice. Most importantly, he listens to what the customer is looking for and offers suggestions to enhance the overall plan. He also helped select plants based on recommendations made by the Santa Clara Valley Water District.

Called Pazmany Bros as a Friend had tried them & said that they did great work.
I had a home that needed a lot of «Sprucing Up» before listing on the market.
Enter Pete, I felt like it was a TV Makeover, nice crews, everyday the place was clean when they left during the project & the final product… Award Winning !!
As you can imagine, the home looked so good it was sold in a day!

We recently completed a major backyard landscape project using Pazmany Brothers Landscaping and now have our dream backyard. We interviewed many landscapers and are so happy with our choice. The finished project is everything we hoped for and the quality of work is excellent. Peter Pazmany is very easy to work with and attends to every request immediately. His crew is friendly, dependable, and courteous and they are true craftsman. Part of our design included stone seat walls and a large patio done with pavers. The workers meticulously laid each stone and the result is excellent. We never anticipated taking on such a large project but Peter made sure that we stayed on budget and reviewed the project on a regular basis. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

We contacted them to potentially do some work for a major redo of our backyard. They came out for a visit, indicated that they will get back to us in 1 week, and that was 2 months ago and we’ve heard nothing. I understand if people get busy but at least let us know vs. leaving us hanging. this does not leave us with a good impression on them.

This review could have been written a year ago when Peter completed the installation of our new front yard. A year later, the quality of his work is even more apparent. Peter did an excellent job in terms of meeting with us to evaluate the project; to creatively salvage the best parts of the yard (including two Japanese maples that have thrived). He came back to us with a creative and appropriate planting plan relative to our home along with a detailed estimate. Installation was clean and efficient. In the year since installation, Peter and his crew have been back several times to adjust small and expectable drip issues. We certainly recommend him and would use his services again.

pazmany bros put in our lawn 3 years ago and we asked them to come back for some spring maintenance. the task was to aerate, re-​seed, add compost and roll. two of peter pazmany’s guys showed up last friday morning, on time, to start the work. it took them a little over 2 hours to complete everything. they knew what they were doing, were polite, and kept me informed with the progress. they swept and hosed off the sidewalks and driveway, made a couple suggestions on ways to save water by changing some sprinkler heads… and did a wonderful job. we highly recommend Pazmany Bros. Landscaping!

I would suggest being wary of the positive reviews here, as people would tend to not leave negative reviews for landscapers unlike they do for restaurants. We were misled by the positive reviews and want to make sure there’s a more balanced picture about this company.
Our experience with Peter and Pazmany Bros have been nothing but trouble since the start. The project went several weeks over schedule and lots of headaches due to poor communication between Peter and his workers. At the conclusion of the project, we were hit with an additional cost that totaled more than 30% of the contract we signed and none of which was discussed with us while the project was going on. It seems that Peter grossly underbid the project to beat out his competitors and tried to recoup it in the end without due process.
Now several months after completion, the lawn that he installed for us is in dismal condition, despite us watering it everyday. There are bald spots all over the lawn because of the irregular and insufficient coverage of the sprinklers they installed, and despite several requests for them to fix the problem, they refuse to own up to the quality of their work. Our water bill is already over $ 100/​month, yet he claims that we don’t water it enough and that we should be mowing it weekly instead of bi-​weekly (honestly, what kind of lawn requires weekly mowing in order for it to not look dead?). It’s very easy to see that the sprinklers don’t cover the area as after running them for 10 minutes, there are still large parts of the grass that are still dry. However, Peter refuses to fix the job because, well, we already paid him.
Would you hire a landscaper who can’t even get lawn and irrigation to work properly?

We use Pazmany Bros for both monthly maintenance and for projects. We started with maintenance. We initially selected Pazmany Bros because we believe Peter really knows his business. The price was right in the middle of all the estimates we got. More importantly, the value for the money is very good; the landscaping looks great all the time.
We then had Peter and company take on a significant project. They fixed the drainage problem in our yard by installing a retaining wall and a dry well, ran all new irrigation, and installed a paver patio. On the retaining wall in particular, he suggested materials that saved us thousands of dollars, and it looks great and works perfectly to keep earth and water away from the house. He then worked with us to select plants that would look great but require little water. We are very impressed with the outcome.

These guys were fantastic; I couldn’t have asked for more. They worked with a tight deadline, they were committed to complete a difficult sprinkler job right, and they made my back and front yard look amazing before a big party.
With little input, Peter suggested plantings I would like and they really turned out great. We liked these guys so much that they are now our full-​time landscapers.
I would highly recommend this company based on price, dependability, professionalism and creativity. 5 stars!

We used Peter and Pazmany Bros. for our front yard (so far). They tore out the hideous RV parking/​driveway on the right side of our front yard, cleaned up the ground cover, removed the overgrown lemon tree and did an all around FANTASTIC job at an AMAZING price. We were shocked at how inexpensive it was. We will definitely use them again. Very affordable and even provided advice for cost-​cutting alternatives. Couldn’t believe how clean everything was when they were done too.

We had an unusual plan to remove our entire back lawn and replace it with raised beds and drip irrigation for vegetables. We had trouble even getting bids from the other landscapers we know, who said it was a bit out of their scope. I saw another job that Pazmany Bros. did and I liked how it turned out, so I went to Peter with the plan. We had some delays because of rain, but the work got done as promptly as it could. The job turned out to be slightly larger than the bid predicted, but I did not get charged extra for the overrun. Their workers were friendly, intelligent and reliable. I will recommend Pazmany Brothers without hesitation, and I will use them again myself if I need help on this scale again. Kudos!
