I have used Sheldon Photography Studio for 22 years.
They have maintained an excellent reputation and quality of service for years!
I was so grateful for Eddie, who saved my negatives after 22 yrs, so I could reproduce very special portraits of my children. He was even able to touch up some other old photo’s I had selected beautiful frames. Eddie n team are professional artists, with the ability to handle themselves well to bring out the best in a person to capture their special look. He is located conveniently across from the Clock Tower, easy parking. First Class Service. Take your special one in and do it… cuz you can’t go back in time! Also does weddings, showers, anniversaries, family portraits and individuals. Priceless. Expensive but he’s worth it! While there, try out Main Street Café n Books across the St.!!

Besides the price we paid for our sittings and portraits ordered, Sheldon of Los Altos provided us a pleasant experience for our dogs. The wife and I have always wanted to take some pictures of our pomeranians and do it professionally. We’ve always seen portraits of people and animals posing by themselves or with others in the front window and thought the pictures were high quality.
It just so happened that my wife was walking along Main Street in Los Altos and saw a flyer outside of his studio advertising 50% off his sitting fee and included a 5×7 for a reduced price. So we booked Tim’s services the day before the offer ended on a Saturday morning during the Spring. His studio was spacious and clean. With dogs as a good judge of character, our poms quickly warmed up to Tim, the photographer. He let our little girl pom, Kimchee, play with one of his squeaky plush toys, probably meant for a baby, and it was so fun she slobbered all over it. Tim took a lot of poses of the 3 Poms together and many of them were adorable when we viewed them during their review. We ended up purchasing extra poses because we already knew how hard it was to get them to look in the same direction at the same time. Our purchased photos were received at the time he promised without delays.
Overall, I would recommend Sheldon of Los Altos to all residents in the local area. You may want to inquire about specials before booking his services to save some money.

I have mixed opinions about this place. We came here to take our family portrait ten years ago and came back to take an updated family portrait ten years later. Our pictures came out very well and we were very happy in the end, but the process was just painstakingly difficult, irritating, and a complete waste of time. We had to go back twice because the layout we requested was not fulfilled. That was annoying.
My mother was concerned about our faces being too shiny and having a glare (which she rightly should be since my aunt came here to take her family portrait and had to send it back to be refinished and the process took forever), so she asked to view the pictures once the photographer was ready to send the final product to the printer. I assumed we were going to see these pictures in print, but we were shown the pictures on a large flat screen. The photographer told us that the final product would be different than on the plasma because of different color resolution blah blah blah… What the heck was the point in coming into the studio to view pictures that were not going to be the same as on the plasma. From the pictures we were shown on the plasma, the colors were off, we were too dark, so we asked the photographer to adjust it. Somehow our pictures turned out pretty good.
As nice and as capable as our photographer was, I found him to be a contrast to our family’s personalities. I’m not a pet or a kid, I don’t need keys to be jingled in front of me or magic fingers to make me laugh or smile.
