I have never worked with better realtors. Michael and Tim handled everything – they remodeled my parents’ house so that we got top dollar and seamlessly handled every part of the sale. They are honest, kind and never pushy. They listen. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I recently worked with Tim as we were considering downsizing and remaining in the Bay Area. Tim is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to zero in on what we were looking for. He asked many questions that we had not even considered and was also quite patient with us. We strongly recommend Tim Proschold for any purchase or sale or both! You could not be in any better hands.

Working with Tim is as good as it gets in the real estate business. We sold one place and bought another within a few months, using Tim (supported by his business partner Michael) for both transactions. Both transactions went farther smoother than they otherwise would have *only* because of Tim’s expertise.
SALES SIDE — I have a crazy travel schedule and my wife is swamped with our toddler, so nearly all of the prep for work our sale fell on Tim. He arranged for inspections, lined up handymen & trades people, developed a marketing plan and went to market all with very little support from us. He transformed a fairly lived in place to a completely fresh model home at very little expense. Tim’s pricing advice also was spot on. Despite being in a tough location where a few other properties struggled, we had a solid offer in no time (above asking) and Tim saw the deal through to completion. He handled everything he could (of course he can’t sign the papers) and made sure we were kept in the loop at all times.
BUY SIDE — Having a few extra $$$ in our pocket, the wife and I thought it would be a good idea to jump into one of the hottest housing markets in the country. There’s nothing to fear when Tim’s your guy. We had a pretty good idea of our «must haves/wants/don’t wants» and we provided that long list to Tim. He helped us sort through which neighborhoods made the most sense for us, and we toured a number of places throughout the peninsula to get a sense of comparability and tradeoffs of each potential neighborhood. When a perfect house for us suddenly came up in our *ideal* neighborhood, Tim called us immediately and we were on site at the first opportunity. We toured the house a couple more times in the following days as we were making our decision. Tim’s expert guidance helped us craft a perfect offer and avoid the ever-​feared «bidding-​war.» (I won’t share Tim’s tricks of the trade — if you want to know how to do this you have to hire him).
Of course, Tim expertly managed our complex closing process, which took only about 14 days (for more details here, see my review for Everbank Mortgage). I spent half of this time on vacation in another time zone. Tim called me when I forgot to send or sign something but he otherwise handled it all. Following closing, Tim managed a slew of third-​party tradespeople that were required to get the house in tip-​top shape before move in.
TAKE AWAYS — Tim is extraordinarily professional, knowledgeable, responsive, trustworthy, dedicated and honest. Period. He’s not gimmicky or looking to push you into the first deal that comes across like so many other realtors. He’s patient, appreciates that clients have different needs, and is very adept at helping spouses find common ground on their «wish list.» He has vision and can help you spot a diamond in the rough. You can trust Tim to hire contractors who will get the job done right, for the right price. He explains all of the various decision points at each stage of the process. While he specializes in the Palo Alto/​Los Altos/​Menlo Park/​Mountain View market, Tim also is extremely knowledgeable about nearly all neighborhoods in and around the peninsula. Oh, and he’s a licensed civil engineer — while he can’t perform a full property inspection, he will point out significant problems and can provide substantive guidance on remodeling/​expansion/​etc.
My only regret is that I didn’t make him take me to play golf (rumor is that he’s crazy-​good).

At the end of June, my husband and I found out our apartment lease was not going to be renewed and we had a little over 60 days to vacate. In this market, everybody told us we wouldn’t be able to find a house. As I write this review in our dream home, I can safely say, that we succeeded in finding our dream house and it is all because of Tim Proschold.
Tim is incredibly knowledgeable. His background (civil engineer etc) helps him make sound assessments of a property. He also knows and understands the market very well, and was able to help us get our home without having to enter some ridiculous bidding war.
Beyond his knowledge and skill, what we most appreciate about Tim is… well Tim himself. Firstly, Tim does not try to sell you on anything. He is there to give you guidance and help you make the most sound decision possible. When your head shuts down and your emotions kick in, Tim is there to calmly talk you off the ledge and make the right choices. Secondly, Tim is honest and not there to make a quick sell. He will always give his honest assessment of a property. Tim is also incredibly hard working and responsive. If you fire off an email late at night, there’s a good chance Tim is awake and answering emails. The man is on the ball with everything! Adams Real Estate also provides amazing after sales service. Tim did everything he could to help us get into our house including arranging the contractors for the work we’re having done on our house. We closed on the home over a month ago, and we are still in touch with him! Tonight our hot water tank needed service, and we did NOT need to go a night without hot water because Tim actually personally called a plumber AND the home owners insurance people and coordinated everything. As first time home owners, Tim is honestly a God send.
Finally, let’s be honest, you need to spend a lot of time with your realtor, particularly in the beginning when you’re going for open houses. If you cannot stand to be in a car for a few hours at a time with your realtor, then the whole experience will be dreadful. Tim has an unimposing and pleasant demeanor. I am not joking that the only downside about our whole house buying experience is that it happened so quickly we really won’t get to spend more time with Tim!

We are so happy with our new home in the Blossom Valley neighborhood in Mountain View, and Michael was instrumental in making it happen. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the neighborhoods where we were looking and the relative value of things like size, upgrades, and layout, but he did it all with such integrity and good humor that it was a relief to find him and a pleasure to work with him.
A few illustrative specifics on our experience:
Michael was very up-​front with us about the fact that he had another client already who had some overlap with us in price and location. When a house came up that we both wanted to bid on we were prepared for being handed off into Tim’s very capable hands. I appreciated how transparent Michael was about the situation.
My husband and I actually wrote off the house we ended up in. A very similar, slightly smaller house four blocks away had had twelve offers and gone well out of our price range the week before and we were certain this one would go even higher. Michael said he’d keep an eye on it just in case. For whatever reason (Memorial Day weekend showing? Everyone else was scared off by the comp? Real Estate Gods in a bad mood?) there was only one offer. Michael called us the afternoon offers were due with that amazing piece of news. We were interested? Yes! He proceeded to do all the last-​minute legwork required to make an offer happen. (Actually I think Tim did a lot of the last-​minute legwork. This is where being part of a team is invaluable.) We got the house for more than $ 200k less than the nearby «comp» and with a bid $ 7K less than the other offer.
In summary, we are very happy homeowners and very happy with our experience with the Adams Real Estate Team.

We want to highly recommend The Adams Real Estate Team– especially in Cuesta Park neighborhood in Mountain View, but certainly not limited to this area. While we worked mainly with Tim Proschold, we found both the partners very kind, knowledgeable and a calming force.
Our very first meeting with Tim impressed us when he came most prepared and informed out of the 5 realtors we interviewed. He proved to be as equally prepared for each meeting and negotiation from that day on. Our belief in Tim was secured when our loan we had acquired through a broker before meeting The Adams Real Estate Team fell through, and Tim’s multiple connections in the mortgage business saved us. With the help of Tim’s continued negotiation skills, we were able to extend the escrow time and get the home we really wanted.
During the house hunting period, we appreciated Tim’s engineering background to help us identify potential issues or restrictions in future structural changes.

If I had a choice of giving them 6 stars I would have done that. Adams Real Estate team is really the best in the class. After staying in a rental home in Los Altos for close to ten years we decided to take the plunge and buy a home. I am fortunate that my wife and I chose the Adams team. Michael helped us navigate through the entire process so smoothly and was truly professional and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. Tim Proschold, his business partner, brings a unique skill set as a structural engineer and he has been a tremendous help in advising us and recommending and managing the contractors we needed for some of the home improvement projects. Even after several weeks of closing the transaction they are enthusiastic and available to answer questions and provide any help that is needed! They exceeded our expectations in every way and I would highly recommend them!

My husband and I just bought our first house in California in a crazy market, and had to do it through a complicated 1031 exchange. We were also living in Massachusetts at the time. We recently went through our first experience with buying a home. Anyone that has done this before knows that it is a daunting process and can even be a bit scary. That said, I’m so thankful that we had Tim Proschold as our realtor because he was able to navigate the treacherous waters of bay area real estate for us. He did research on the type of loan that we wanted and provided us with a variety of statistics on homes in our price range. Even during a very low inventory point, he was able to find homes that suited our needs while discouraging us from others that may have been poor investments.
Additionally, the website tools used by The Adams Real Estate Team are stellar. Tim set up automatic searches in our price range. When my husband and I opted to increase our budget another $ 25K to ensure we could find the perfect place, it only took a quick modification to the auto searches to target specific properties in the locations we wanted. In fact, the first search I did after changing these few parameters yielded the perfect home for us. Tim showed it to us the next day and now I’m sitting it writing this review. I could not be more happy.
Tim brings one additional element that you won’t find in other realtors. He is a civil engineer by trade and understands the ins and outs of home building in addition to being an excellent realtor. He was able to identify issues in our new home that could be quickly (and cheaply!) corrected. He was great all across the board and was so helpful. He even emailed with us during his vacation to ensure that we got our offer in quickly. That’s dedication!
