Horrible company! you get what you pay for that’s for sure. I rented a car here and it looks like someone gave me their personal car to drive. The gas was under a half a tank I forgot to put it back on under a half and FILLED it up! Michelle the Manager/​Owner will not return my call nor issue me a refund for the extra gas I put in her horrible noisy and dirty rental car. Not very professional at all.

I made a reservation over a month in advance for a 15 passenger van. I received a call while pulling into the car lot that the van was not available for me. I was then told I can have a Tahoe and a minivan but they didn’t know when the Tahoe would get to me from Beverly Hills. There was not a manager on site and he was less than sympathetic when he got on the phone. I then asked for documentation on my rental not being available, the girl at the counter refused to give it to me. I had to call the manager myself to have her to write a note saying the van was not available and didn’t even sign it. I had 10 people counting on the van. Completely disappointed in this business. Was not offered anything as compensation. I even had to call an über to get home.

When I reserved the car online, I put in a note saying I was renting it to go do my behind-​the-​wheel exam with it so everything had to be perfect. I picked it up after work at 8.30pm and drove straight home with it, everything seemed fine. In the morning I drove to the DMV, they went over the car features and guess what, the horn didn’t work! I was not allowed to do the test! Pissed off as crazy I went to drop off the car at 8.15pm that day and they were already closed! Opening times said until 9pm. «24 Hour“YEAH RIGHT! Next morning I call them asking for the manager and was told she’d be in around 10am. I call back later and was then told that she wasn’t coming in at all that day. Then I was told I would be called back but this never happened. Eventually they even charged me more than what I had reserved for online. What the hell kind of service is that? Such a rip-​off. Will NEVER rent here again! And neither should you!

I had a great experience with this company. I’m under 21 and did not have a single issue getting a car, they cannot offer you insurance b/​c of that, so you have to have a personal insurance policy that covers rentals, which I have through allstate. No surprise fees, friendly staff, they picked us up and dropped us off at the airport on time and provided communication for pick up and return times. I was even able to text my driver throughout my flight to let them know when/​where to pick me up. We paid for a compact car and were upgraded to a spacious 4-​door corolla free of cost which was a pleasant surprise. Car was clean and gas efficient. Would definitely recommend and will rent again in the future! My only concern is that it seems like they are understaffed as they are not there the full 24hr/​day, but are still willing to accommodate if you need to pick up or drop off at later times so there is not much of a client concern but I feel bad for the employees.

This agency is a complete disaster. Called for a ride from the airport and waited for about 30 minutes. Two guys show up in an unmarked minivan and have to call me to let me know they’ve arrived. Get to agency and they realize the previous renter took keys so, they call him and have to go to airport to get the keys. I have to wait another 45 minutes… they apparently have no other vehicle to rent to me! Finally get into the car and it smelled like urine, wasn’t vacuumed out and must have been a cast off from a real rental agency. I will never use this rental agency again.

I was in one of those dire circumstances, where, once again, Unilocal saved the day!
I needed a rental immediately and scanned all the options, 24 Hour Rent A Car by and far had the cheapest rate around.
Okay, well they already had won me over, seeing as I had no car, needed one ASAP and didn’t have to give my right arm for it.
I was even more pleasantly surprised when I got there and met Marlon. He was so kind and helpful… that kinda unfamiliar service received in LA that makes one stop and wonder if there is a catch. But there wasn’t:) Just a nice guy trying to help me out. And for that, if I could give a 6^th star, I would.

Had a great experience renting a car from this place! The car was affordable and the staff was friendly. Someone picked us up from the airport within a few minutes of calling so we didn’t have to wait for a crowded bus. We got the car quickly and the rep was very helpful. This place charges per 24 hours not day. So we got the car at 9:00 a. m and reserved it for 4 days. The rep said if we bring the car back before 9:00 on the last day, we’d only be charged 3 days instead. So we did that and saved a whole a lot! That was great to know. When we returned the car, we paid the price we had agreed to with no extra charges. We were also clearly told to bring the car back with the same amount of gas as we started with and that was also very helpful. The place is small but we were grateful for the easy experience.

This place is a rip! Do not rent from these guys or they will try and take everything you have and if they cannot, they will threaten to ruin your credit. Here’s the situation. My roommate and I rented a car at a weekly rate but we told them that we are probably going to keep the car for a month or so. We then had to give them 500 cash up front which was a deposit and the first weeks rate of 160 or so. They refused to give us insurance but let us drive off the lot anyway? My roommate called every week to extend and then he got a call to say they were gonna report it stolen. We went down there immediately to find out now they want to charge us more than $ 1100 to rent a $ 7000 car for a month.

Marlon A. was attending to me. OUTSTANDING service from him. Very pleasant, helpful, quick and extremely kind. The shuttle form airport to rental car was very quick. The only thing is, while bringing my vehicle back, initially no one was there to drop off the vehicle with and that thru me for a loop. I didn’t exactly know where to park the loaned vehicle in the «back of the building» and having to hull 3 piece of luggage the nearest shuttle place was frustrating. However as I was about to leave they arrived. So I didn’t have to go through all of that! I got a serviced ride to the airport right away. I would for sure rent a vehicle there again. Over all, great experience and very satisfied with the customer service of MArlon.

This is by far the best car rental in Los Angeles! There is no waiting for the shuttle bus, which will eat up a chunk of your time. Marlon is awesome! He very professional and pleasant to work with. I always rent from 24 Hour Rent A Car when I come down for work, which is 1 – 2 times/​month. Marlon is my go-​to guy. He is extremely helpful, goes above and beyond, and is always so pleasant to deal with. He helps me book my reservations every time via email.
Not only do I get this top-​level service, the best part is they pick you up from the airport! No waiting for the shuttle bus so you save those 45 minutes. You call them directly and they’re there in 5 minutes! and you get your car in about 10 minutes after that!
If you are a regular traveler to LA and/​or just want to save time from waiting in lines to get to your rental car, I definitely recommend these guys.

I rent cars every week for different Companies all around the Country and The Service that I have received here is Exceptional. Marlon is the Man you want to Speak to He’s an Honest down to earth and Humble Young Man. I recently rented a 2014 Ford Mustang Convertible and received the best service from him. Take this place into consideration if your looking for your next car booking there right next to the Airport and they will come and pick you up from your terminal you don’t have to wait for a Bus like all the other car rental places. I will Definitely be using this place for all my further Car Rental Purchases.

I stumbled on 24 Hour Rent a Car, when all the major rental car company rates were ridiculously high. I found the Best Rate at 24 Hour Rental, and ever since then, I am now a loyal repeat customer. For many reasons: 1) Rates are ALWAYS competitive, if not the best in the market, 2) They are very professional and efficient for a deceptively small facility.
Of special note, one of their agents, Marlon Higueros deserves a special appreciation. Every time I have rented from them, Marlon is always there, on-​time, professional, quick and efficient. Also extremely polite and patient, as I am usually ALWAYS in a hurry — running to meetings or catching a flight, and he consistently provides impeccable service with great efficiency and expediency. He converted me to a loyal customer!

You need a Car in LA.
Great rates.
Unlike the other rental car companies, they do not kill you with hidden fees.
No annoyin upsell on insurance.
Technically they have a mileage cap but I never came near it.

Had a great experience with this rental company. While there is no regular shuttle, they will pick you up from your terminal if you call. They were extremely responsive and helpful. We even got a free upgrade! It was by far the best deal in town. They are definitely not run like the big name rental car companies (less staff and more casual) but the people that work there are friendly and accommodating.

I fly to LA weekly and decided to try a new, cheaper rental company which was a BIG mistake. There’s a reason the big companies are big: professionalism, timeliness. This company lacks both qualities.
Here’ what happened to me when I landed…
I called the company when I hit the baggage area. I was told someone would be picking me up immediately… 20 minutes later I still wasn’t picked up. The driver called and said there was a traffic jam and he was 5 minutes away. It’s LAX, there’s ALWAYS a traffic jam! Lame excuse. Fifteen minutes rolled by, still no pickup. I called him back twice and he didn’t answer his phone either time. Whomever answered the initial call in the rental office also DIDN’T pick up. When the driver, Marlon finally arrived there was another couple in the car. They’d also waited over 40 minutes to get picked up!
When we arrived at the rental office he quickly jumped out of the van, ran to the front door, unlocked it then ran behind the counter. This poor guy was doing double duty! I feel sorry for anyone who would arrive to turn in their car when the driver is out picking people up at their terminal. They could miss their flight just waiting to turn their car in.
Marlon knew I was in a hurry because he was so late. He walked me outside and gave me a car that had multiple dents and scratches on it. Although they were minor they were still there. When I added the scratches/​dents to the car check-​out form he got mad that I’d written on the document. He said «it’s gonna look like I gave you a messed up car!» I replied, «You ARE giving me a messed up car!» He ran inside and got a new form.
The only reason I didn’t leave is because it was 9:45am (70 minutes after I’d landed) and I had a 10am meeting I couldn’t miss. The other companies I’ve used have me in my rental within ¹⁰⁄₁₅ minutes. This was a ridiculous experience.
Days later when I dropped the car off the front door was LOCKED! I had to walk around the building to find a guy washing a car to get help. Turns out, he was a desk agent doing triple duty! He unlocked the door, checked in my car, locked the door then gave me a ride to the airport. This guys was much nicer than the first.
I feel sorry for anyone who shows up at this place to turn in a car and get to the airport when the desk agent/​car washer/​shuttle driver is away on a marathon airport pickup. I can’t believe how unprofessional this company is to potential customers. Seems like they’re rather skimp on customer service just to save a few dollars on personnel. Never again! Run, don’t walk to another company!
They have a lot to make up for this.
