I have nothing but great things to say about ABS Club LA. I’ve been working with Personal Trainer/​Coach Johnny Navarro at this gym in various locations. I’ve seen their growth and I’ve experienced weight loss (160 lbs) and the benefits that come as a result.
For me it did not happen overnight. I resisted. I didn’t change but I always worked out with Johnny because he never gave up on me and kept telling me I could reach my goal if I just didn’t give up.
Thank you for helping me change my life. I’m not a young, Barbie Doll type but some days I feel like I am! He made my cry on day one. Today I am strong and healthy.

All I have to say you get results with Tony, Alain, and Johnny I lost almost 30 lbs and Tony and Johnny have been kicking my ass to get me into shape. Alain has help tremendously with my weight loss if you want results they deliver !!!

I have been training with Tony, Alain and Johnny since 8 weeks.
I dropped 27 pounds on their program in the first 6, I built muscle and the shape of my body changed.
I warned them that I am 55 years old, always have done sport and always ate and drank too much so I have battled weight all my life…

I decided I need to loose weight on my birthday because I was not satisfied with my body and felt uncomfortable. I knew that I had to loose weight not just to improve my self confidence but to also live a healthy lifestyle. Wow. Great money well spent at this place. I went for three sessions, and now I feel stronger, more fit, and ready to take on workouts on my own with great form. Tony was there for my first session and gave me great advice, awesome tips about my form, and analyzed my strengths and weaknesses. He definitely gave me the toughest workout, but that is what it’s all about! He pushed me to my limits, while taking my safety concerns into consideration. I owe him a great deal for building my perseverance and persistence. Johnny had my next two sessions and he was amazing. Super positive, motivational, and supportive. I also got great workouts, and he is such a personable, helpful, and hilarious guy; my kinda trainer! If you are going here, know that you will be pushed, but that is likely the reason you’re seeing a personal trainer anyways. Be open and honest about how you are feeling during the workout. These guys will listen, but will build your strength and endurance up. 5 stars all around!

I have just started my fitness program with ABS Club LA for about two weeks now. I really enjoy my training sessions with Johnny and Tony. They are both very personable and are always there to push, motivate and encourage you to become better.
Every week I will know how much fat I am losing, and I just did my assessment this morning and lost 2lbs of fat. Easing in into my routine to a more active lifestyle as well as following their menu has definitely helped me. Can’t wait to grow stronger and leaner!
Tony and Alain are very experienced and informative and are definitely professionals in their line of business. Will be updating this review once I hit another milestone.

The team at ABS Club LA is first rate. They know how to train and I have been working with them off and on for the past 2 years. I really like their system as it combines both the art of body sculpting with the science of body composition. So each week I know how much muscle I am gaining, how much fat I am losing, and my water weight, lean dry mass, and overall fitness levels. I’ve worked out with both Tony and Johnny, but do most of my training with Johnny. He has the right balance of pushing the client and knowing a client’s limitations. Also a really nice guy who plays good music while we workout :)
I would recommend ABS Club LA to anyone looking for a high quality private gym with personalized instruction and really nice and well informed trainers.

As good as it gets!
I started going here last August and trained mainly with Johnny. I’ve also talked and worked with Alan and Tony as well and they are all awesome guys to work out with. Everyone is super friendly and the location is very private and has all the equipment you need.
So a little more about my trainer Johnny and the entire process. He was amazing to work with, very flexible, very reliable, and very professional and he never canceled any sessions.
He kicked my butt and continuously changed the workout routine so my body never plateaued and I kept seeing improvements.
Once a week before your workout they measure your weight, body, fat, water consumption, muscle mass, etc to make sure you are on track and review your results with you and give advice on where you can use improvement.
They also work with you to put together a diet plan on what to eat daily so it will compliment your workouts and maximize your outcome.
I had been «trying» to go to the gym before this and get back in shape but was never able to stick with a routine until I signed up for these sessions. I have seen amazing results in my body and so have my friends, family and girlfriend. This helped boost my confidence in myself and my body and more importantly established a healthy diet and workout routine that I can stick with for the future.
Simply put, you can not go wrong. You will lose weight, tone, gain muscle and establish healthy lifestyles routines that will remain with you long past the sessions. Highly recommended!

Just thought I do an update to let you all know that even though my three week maintenance is over, i am still loosing weight!

I feel so lucky to be a part of the Abs Club LA family! I had been trying to lose weight on my own for the past couple of years but whatever I’ve tried, it didn’t work! I was looking into hiring a personal trainer for a while. I knew I needed guidance, support, and a trainer who could teach me the right workout routines.

I looked into hiring a pt at 24hour fitness but it seemed as if their trainers were more concerned about getting extra commission then helping me meet my goals! Abs Club La was able to work with my budget and goals! I have been working with Tony and Johnny, my personal trainers, at Abs Club LA since the end of November and I have lost a total of 10lbs! I couldn’t have done that on my own. They were able to customize a meal and workout plan that fit my lifestyle and schedule. They also measure my progress weekly using this cool machine that tracks my fat %, muscle mass % and water weight.

Abs Club La isn’t just a training facility they provide other services like teeth whitening. I had an event to go to and Allan brightened my teeth by three shades in 30 minutes!!!

Tony is the best trainer you can hire. I saw changes in my body after just three sessions (which included nutritional advice that I wasn’t getting enough protein and working out without changing that would end up harming my muscles– he wasn’t trying to sell me supplements but recommended that I start taking protein powder). I’ve been taking the protein powder for a year now and feel so much healthier than ever before.

They have a print out on their store front window saying that if I check in to their business I would get a free assessment and training session. So I checked in and was expecting some kind of a catch but they gave me exactly what was offered. Their blueprint analysis of my Boby is truly amazing and very informative. This place is a little hidden because of a huge tree that’s in front of their location on pico. However once you actually get there I think you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
Thank you also for the great work out. I don’t think I’ve worked out as hard as that since well… ever!

FRAUDULENT ADVERTISEMENT!
Don’t waste your money! First — all advertisement clearly state that the program is fool proof and GUARANTEED, if you try to invoke the guarantee after every efforts to resolve the issue, ALLEN (partner) will come up with every excuse to avoid complying with what is otherwise a simple transaction, a GUARANTEE that you lose 20 ibs in 23 days or your money back. FRAUD!!!

I don’t know why this place is still in business!!! This is the 3^rd time I call the club to make an appointment for a training package I got last year. In my first attempt (2 months after I got my voucher) I called and I was told somebody will call me back. Nobody did. Then, right before Thanksgiving I called them back again, the person who answered the phone took my name, my phone number and he said somebody will contact me. I mentioned that had happened before but he assured me it wouldn’t happen again… Well… It did! Time passed by and finally this morning I called to make sure this time I will get my training done but as soon as I said I got a voucher the guy on the other line asked me: «where did you get your voucher from?» I said: from HOMERUN. As soon as I said that he said: «we’ll, the trainers are not here until after April 15^th» … WTF??? Seriously??? In fact he said «You can either call back after April 15^th or call HOMERUN to get your money back»
Sure I will !!! But I’ll make sure people who buys vouchers for this place know that they will not be treated fairly. I’m pretty sure that the 5 starts given for this place are coming from clients who pay full «service». Unbelievable!!!

Whoever answered the phone was a RUDE DUDE! They have limited information on their website, so gee why not call to get some more info, right? Pssssht, well the guy who answered the phone didn’t know squat! He literally said «I don’t know.» Why is he answering the phone if he can’t answer simple questions regarding the place he is working at?! He took my name/​number and said Robin would call me back within 24 hours. Yeah, I am still waiting for that call…

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I had the most horrible experience here that I just had to share it.
I bought a cheapo deal from Groupon for a free body fat analysis and training session. I had been sick for the entire week before and told my trainer that when I came in. I also told him I came in for a specific reason (meaning, don’t give me your spiel, I have no intention of buying a training package from you). I was VERY clear about that.
So my trainer — I think his name was Tony — starts telling me that I’m «weak» and «soft» and keeps stopping me from training to berate me. I was like, ‘Dude, I just TOLD you that I’ve been ill all week.’ He also points to a picture on the wall and says «See that girl? She’s toned. You don’t look like her.» Jerk, right? It got worse.
After my body fat analysis, he shouldn’t have had a leg to stand on with all of his criticisms over my body. I had LESS FAT THAN THE GIRL IN THE PHOTO. But he kept on insisting that I wasn’t OK.
When it became clear I wasn’t going to bite and didn’t like him, he washed his hands of me and sent me to another trainer (who was actually quite good and informative).
But I have such a nasty taste in my mouth from my experience with him that I’m giving this place one star. The reason women in LA have eating disorders is because of men like him. Try telling a girl who weighs less than 115 pounds that she doesn’t look good, and you’ve got a problem.
Stay away from Abs Club LA.

So far in my first couple of months, I have to say that it has been the toughest training that I have ever gone through. Yet it has been the most rewarding. I’ve always been up and down with staying in shape, so it’s been great to getting back into shape at a small private gym with personal attention. And believe me, these guys know what they are doing. Your body can attest to that after every session.
We have also hired them to train our entire work staff. We employ about 40 workers and decided to set up a nutrition, diet and workout program for them. The ABs Club team was up for the challenge fully and we have been going strong for 3 weeks now.
Every Mon, Wed and Friday Tony and his team show up at location to train our workers. Most of them speak only Spanish, but it has not slowed us down because Johnny speaks fluent Spanish and relays everything perfectly.
I work out with Henry, and he has been totally great. If you are looking for a trainer with lots of energy and enthusiasm, then he is definitely your man. No one has gotten me to lift more and do more in all my years.

I can not rave enough about this place! I had a VERY good experience here and will recommend ABSCLUBLA to as many people as I can and here is why:
Upon arrival I was greeted with a very sincere smile and a firm handshake, which immediately made me feel comfortable.
I was escorted into the room where the teeth whitening happens, it was nothing fancy or pretentious, just a comfortable room.
The whole process from start to finish was explained to me in very simple terms that were easy for me to understand. Before the procedure began I was asked if I had any questions, which of coarse I did because I had never had this done before. My questions were answered very simply.
Next he took out a chart of different teeth colors and matched it to my then current color, which was cool because I didn’t realize just how yellowed and discolored they were.
I was constantly monitored during the procedure (which took I think @20−25 minutes I can’t be sure because I was so relaxed I actually started to nod-​off). When everything was finished he showed me the teeth-​whitening scale again and low and behold my teeth were 11 times whiter than when we first began!
He explained maintenance to me and didn’t try to sell me any «extras» or push any product on me.
This place gets a 10 out of 10. thank you ABS Club LA for a great experience.
