Afshin Andrew Asher is the founder of Asher Law Group, APC.

Mr. Asher limits his practice to the related areas of estate planning and administration, asset protection planning, probate, tax planning, business and business succession planning. Mr. Asher is Certified as a Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Asher holds a Master of Law Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University where he graduated with honors. Mr. Asher attained his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law where he graduated among the top 10% of his class and was a published member of the Southwestern University Law Review. Mr. Asher has been named a Super Lawyer in the field of estate planning for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 by Super Lawyers Magazine. Five percent of the total lawyers in the State of California are selected for this honor.

We highly recommend that you consider using Afshin for your living trust, last will and testament, etc. While we sought someone well-​versed in dealing with related issues for same sex couples, we quickly learned his expertise goes well beyond that — he clearly is proficient in tax law as it applies to the masses.
We selected Afshin before gay marriage was legal in California and he was both professional and outstanding in walking us through the many associated nuances. After marrying in 2013 (woohoo!), Afshin again helped us with necessary revisions to our documents and again made the process simple and painless to accomplish.
If you are unsure in any way, we strongly suggest a meet and greet and are confident you will be immediately impressed. He is truly a pleasure to work with and we are so thankful to have found him.

I trust him. Although not a card-​carrying friend of Dorothy (he has a wife and kids), Afshin is very friendly to the gay community. In fact LAMDA referred him to us as he volunteers at their legal clinic. Afshin specializes in estate planning, tax law, asset protection, probate and business law. If you have to go to extraordinary and unfair lengths imposed by a bigoted society to protect yourselves as a gay couple (things most straight couples don’t have to bother with), by all means give Afshin and his sweet assistant Victoria a call. Afshin’s services are not just limited to the gay community – he can and will help anyone: single or couple or family, gay or straight, and frankly because of the complexity of our case, I am sure he would be able to figure out just about any legal maze you may find yourself in. He’s nice, caring, creative and has a good sense of humor… I looked long and hard to find him, and it was worth the research.
