History
Established in 2011.
American Medical Careers was founded in 2011 by Steve Magallanes.
Steve, a proud Vietnam veteran, had 30 years of experience in helping disabled individuals return to work, and wanted to use this experience to help all of Los Angeles’ residents find secure employment.
Because health care is a growing field that fills a need for society while also fulfilling the career needs of employees, he decided to build an affordable medical career training school near downtown Los Angeles.
Steve is proud of the culturally diverse staff he has assembled, especially the school’s Instructors who possess decades of experience in the medical field.
Since it’s founding, American Medical Careers has been approved by the State of California Board of Public Health and the Bureau of Private Post Secondary Education.
Recently the school won an Outstanding Achievement award for achieving 91% job placement success in 2011/2012, awarded by the South Bay Workforce Investment Board.
