I’m actually surprised by the previous review. Dr. Sheikh was my anesthesiologist and I had the best experience. I felt more comfortable when I found out he’s board certified and has been practicing for over 30 years. Not only was he polite and professional, but he also did a great job – I woke up from my surgery feeling like I had the best sleep of my life! He introduced himself and was kind and reassuring as I was nervous about the surgery. I definitely recommend him!

Dr. Sheikh was the anesthesiologist assigned to my surgery. It was the worst experience I have ever had with an anesthesiologist. He was totally and completely dismissive of me; he did not even introduce himself to me when he entered the pre-surgical suite! He didn’t speak to me or look at me. He simply spoke about me to the techs, as if I were sub-human. «Who is she? What is the case?» etc. It was unbelievable! I had questions and concerns and asked the tech to speak to Dr. Sheikh. No response.
I recommend anyone going for surgery to call ahead and find out who your anesthesiologist will be. If it’s Dr. Amir Sheikh — refuse and request someone else — or know what you are getting into.
