History
Established in 2009.
Archer Pilates was formed by Melanie Archer after years of searching for a source that would help her loose weight, tone her body and keep her happy with her work. Archer Pilates offers a variety of Group classes along with flexible private sessions & is conveniently nestled on the boarder of Westchester/Culver City in the Dinah’s Plaza, adjacent to Marina Del Rey & Playa. Archer’s Method of Pilates is defined by its unique ability to match her clients needs with their level of approach, along with focusing on accomplishing the goals of each and every client. We are all special in one way or another, knowing that simple fact is why one series of exercises is not effective for every body. At Archer Pilates each routine is personalized. Our one-on-one private trainings are developed by our expert teachers with custom exercises and personalized sequences to accommodate & challenge each body: angles are adjusted, props are used, movements are dissected, modified, built upon, and perfected
Meet the Business Owner
Melanie A.
Business Owner
Melanie a full time mom. After being a pre-school teacher she felt the need to re-invent herself but did not know were to turn. Coupled with her struggles to loose weight after child birth she discovered Pilates.
The core principal and exercise did wonders and after a few months of diligent workouts (3 x week) her figure was back, to her surprise her body was better than before. More energy, better balance and more focus. Her daughter now 2 yrs old she realized it was her calling. She enrolled in the Stott certification program and became certified. During the program she taught and practiced Pilates as much as possible with friends & colleagues and took classes.
She made a bold move for a single mother to convert her home garage into a studio. She had a vision and the drive to better her community, mind & body and it was that vision that got her notice by the Culver City Star and her first article. Her passion grew beyond her tiny garage and in 2009 she open the doors to Archer.
