I’m late with my review, but better late than never! Tired of the usual movie theater crowd, I decided to get tickets to Soda Pop. And I am so glad I did. We went on a Wednesday night, and unfortunately(for them) there were only 6 of us in the theater. But they still put their hearts into an AWESOME performance. My boyfriend and I were laughing so hard at one point we both had tears in our eyes. I thought the entire cast was hilarious, especially the actor who played Joey. Loved the«Hot in Here» number too. Oh man. We saw it months ago and I still smile when I think of that scene. I hope they bring it back again because I’d be there in a heartbeat. Note: This was our second time at this theater, but I had such a great time at Soda Pop this review is mostly about that.

Went to see«Soda Pop» at the recommendation of a friend. I was very wary because she told me they lip-synched 50’s songs throughout the play. Well, I was SO wrong, it was absolutely bust-a-gut hilarious. The actors went WAY over the top and it worked perfectly. We were laughing with tears streaming down our cheeks. US! SIlver Lake hipsters! The Ark members work their ass off in this little space to bring true entertainment. Support independent theater!

I went to the Ark Theatre last night for the opening of Soda Pop which was hilarious! I don’t think I have laughed so hard since their last comedy at the Ark, The Complete Works of William Shakespear… Abrided! The Show is fast paced, full of 50’s songs, dance numbers and laughs. It was one of those shows where you were kinda sad it was over because you were having so much fun. The whole cast was great. I think I am going to see this show again! I believe the show is there until August 4th, do yourself a favor and see it! [erin-x]

A tiny theater with giant talent. There’s a cozy lounge just outside the actual theater. They have some snacks and sodas to keep you busy before the play starts. I just saw the final show of «The Complete Works of William Shakespeare(abridged)». I was almost laughing non-stop. Anytime you can witness 37 plays in 96 minutes along with references to Judas Priest, Fergie, Kelis and lightsabers, you know you’re in for a good time. I happened to see the version done by men. I heard the women version was just as hilarious. Since I’ve heard nothing but great things about their past productions, I look forward to coming back in the future.
