When I’ve been in a yoga seminar all day and my BF worked today and it’s a Saturday and you just don’t have the strength to shower and get dolled up to dine in, Aroma has takeout! Yippee! Whew!

This place is a tiny authentic Italian restaurant located a few stores down from Silverlake Ramen. Complementary bread is available but it’s not anything special. Be sure to ask the waiter for their daily specials because they have a ton and it’s not written down anywhere so listen carefully – we had to ask our server to repeat it a couple times because we couldn’t understand through their thick Italian accent XD but they were super nice about it and laughed along. The food here was delicious. We shared some cheese and mushroom appetizer and the seafood pasta. The pasta was so flavorful – the sauce soaked in all the seafood flavors and the pasta was chewy and just delicious. The other tables around us all order wine and it’s put into this glass container – so cool! Parking in Silverlake is going to be a struggle… We paid a few bucks for valet parking because we drove around for 10 minutes and couldn’t find street parking.

Best kept secret in the neighborhood. I had no idea this was here after living less than 4 blocks away for over 10 years. Excellent food and service for very reasonable prices in an unassuming and unpretentious atmosphere. Go here now.

What a nice little, tucked away restaurant, with excellent service and a wonderful selection. Our waiter/manager explained every dish, knowledgable about the ingredients, cooking method, spices and herbs. Recommended a suitable wine or beer, furthermore checked back many times. Highly recommended.

Ordered the freshly made gnocchi with brown butter, sage and parmesan(the best pasta I have had in my life) and rounded out the night with the wine soaked pear stuffed with mascarpone cheese which was a refreshingly light and delicate way to end the meal. After tasting food like that I am determined to become a regular.

My husband and I were a little skeptical because the prices were kind of high, but it was well worth it! We got the chicken alfredo and meat ravioli. They were both so good and amazing. We definately plan on eating there again!

This neighborhood Italian restaurant serves up good food with great service. Listen to the waiter’s recommendations as they are spot on. And ask for the off menu dishes, like truffle gnocchi… delicious.

If you have not been here, yet profess to like Italian food you are doing your palate a disservice. Wonderful ingredients and fabulously flavored, this is a place to savour every morsel. The unwritten menu is where to order from. Anything in the vodka sauce is wonderful, seafood and steaks delectable. Just try it. And the staff — a story here, a description there and prego, a meal. Just go.

I wanted to update my review because AROMA is still the BEST Italian in Los Angeles. I just wanted people to know since it makes me so happy. They are now doing delivery with Eat24, so we are eating Aroma once a week and it never disappoints. If the portions look small with delivery, those are the exact same portions in the restaurant, and I think the delivery containers deceive you. Aroma is perfect for a date night, movie night, bday or any night!

Great intimate date location. My lady and I went here for the first time tonight. We are still savoring the delicious meal we had. The penne pasta with lobster and filet Mignon were made to perfection. As a starter I highly recommend the mango salad with calamari and shrimp. The owner was there and made not only us but everyone at the restaurant feel like family. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and are planning our next visit soon.

My compliments to the chef, wow. The food was amazing– an exquisite meal of 3 courses: a mango calamari shrimp salad(amazing and tangy!) the second course was penne vodka with a hint of spice and the third, most amazing dessert I’ve ever had, live torched Crème brûlée! I will definitely be back, everyday amazing food guys! Great job Definitely recommend this place for lunch and dinner!

Found this place on Unilocal on a whim and it had great reviews so we tried it. It was pretty empty on a weekday even though we made a reservation. The menu is pretty small but there are a lot of off the menu specials that all sound amazing, they should almost write them down because there’s so many lol. We got the burata cheese appetizer which was very yummy! For entrees, we got the rack of lamb and the risotto with lobster. Both had amazing flavor and was cooked very well. Pretty decent portions as well. The service was great here. We brought our own wine, corkage fee only $ 10. Parking can be tricky, there’s a few spots out front and a valet as well, otherwise it’s street parking. Great little find!

The taste of the food is decent the portion of the food for the price is ridiculous 16 $ for fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and it’s not even a full plate same thing with the meat ravioli. I ordered to go and i should have taken a picture of how my food looked, nothing compared to the pictures that were there, Expected better since there are so many great reviews. I spent 35 $ on 2 plates, it’s definitely not worth the money. I get more for my money going to the cheese cake factory and better service. not the best first experience . worse part after leaving a first review and this is an updated one, I’m guessing an employee of the restaurants sends me a message never to go back. I mean he probably needs some sort of life that’s why he did it. After that why would I? That person just went to the ultimate low, don’t like a review instead of being so unsophisticated ask what you can do better so people actually go back!!! Few weeks later I’m still being harassed by a uneducated person. Who like I said is employed there

Just go. The place feels very homey. The owner/server(not sure who he was, but there were few people working there) was awesome — very jolly and passionate about the dishes, and explained using hand motions and sound effects. It takes him about 5 minutes to explain all the specials. I’m glad he did though! I wanted to try the mango salad with seafood but didn’t see it in the menu and saw no specials board. He didn’t mention it in his long list of things until I asked for salad suggestions. The salad was superb… have to go back to eat it! Had the gnocchi with black pepper and truffles… definitely melt in your mouth pillowy goodness. Just go. Won’t regret it. I did enjoy not having to make reservations and being able to just walk right in to a table at 7pm on a Friday night. The place was full by 7:30 though due to the intimate space. Seats 26 at most.

Decided to opt for delivery tonight. Found this place on grubhub. Very good! Everything was delicious. We got ravioli and mushrooms in sauce, chicken in lemon caper sauce, and mozzarella with basil and tomato. Everything was awesome. The ravioli was delicious despite being simple. The cream sauce that came with it was luxurious. The chicken dish had great flavor, veggies were cooked perfectly and, again, the sauce was just awesome. We definitely enjoyed our food and look forward to actually visiting the restaurant in person next time.

I usually start my morning on some Sundays by hiking up the trail at Runyon and after that I will walk down to aroma to have brunch or lunch. The service in this restaurant is exceptional. The manager welcomed us with a smile and was very friendly. They are also very dog friendly so feel free to bring your dog along. As soon as we said down the waitress brought a bowl of water for my dog. I applaud the management for such exceptional friendly service. The food is great. You should definitely try the filet mignon hummus. If you like your filet mignon anything other than medium make sure you let them know. Otherwise it will come out with the perfect medium temperature. If you are undecided about whether to have breakfast or lunch you should definitely try the Sunnyside up burger. It’s a great combination of breakfast and lunch in between two buns. It’s a classic burger with the sunny side up egg in the middle. I had it for lunch today and it was perfect. Watch out though you might need a power nap after that.

Los Angeles isn’t known for the best Italian food. Aroma makes up for that. I really would only recommend about 5 Italian restaurants in all of Los Angelss and Aroma is at the top of the list. Being originally from NY, I’m used to authentic Italian cuisine. At Aroma, you are not disappointed in the least. Their mango salad is a great way to start your dinner, compete with fresh seafood and sliced asparagus stems. Their mushroom gnocchi is honestly the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. The head chef takes tremendous care and also accommodates patrons with special food restrictions. The service here is exemplary. When a waiter puts your napkin on your lap for you, you know it’s good service. I would recommend any of the pastas on the menu, and if your looking for lobster you MUST try theirs. The lobster is fresh, fresh, fresh and is served with a side of spaghetti. Cooked to perfection, they top the lonser with a Cajun-type of seasoning. SO good. If you’re looking for a great date spot or a nice, quiet night out, go here. One of LA’s best neighborod spots.
