It’s my first tattoo and my artist is Luis House, he did a great job. I was very nervous but his hand is light. Totally love it, will definitely go back here for my second tattoo.

I recently got tattooed by Luis House. This is the third time I get tattooed by him and his work always looks great. I get a lot of compliments about it from people who see my tattoos. Ive never left a review on here before but felt like I needed to get a profile just to say how much I enjoyed my experience getting tattooed by him. He is always really nice and helps me come up with great custom designs for my pieces. I read a previous comment with one star saying some stuff I really dont agree with. He is always more than fair about his prices and when it comes to tattoos I am a strong believer that you get what you pay for. His tattoos and art are amazing. I wouldnt get my work by anyone else! An overall great experience every time. Wish I could give more than five stars!

After 20 days my tattoo has healed and is very light in areas. Now that the swelling has gone down, you can also see the mediocre line work, where some areas just look really crooked.
In addition, Luis House has continually avoided calls from my bank to correct the fraudulent chafe of an additional $ 100 he charged to my credit card without my approval.

I got my first tattoo here a couple of days ago. Luis was extremely helpful & professional. I’m completely satisfied with it, and will be going back soon for more.

I have been thinking of getting a tattoo for 25 years. When some friends of mine decided to add more ink to their body I came along to watch the whole process.
I was very impressed with the talent and creativity that goes into the artwork. I didn’t end up getting inked with my friends, but did commission Luis House to draw something for me and gave him a deposit. It was a small step in committing myself to making the move.
So I FINALLY had the nerve to do it and I’m over the moon with the finished result. Luis ended up going further than I expected and drew something unique and original for me, but also in a similar vein of what I had in mind. I wanted something petite, feminine and something that was just me. He totally gets it.
I admit, my anxiety and apprehension was off the charts! Even after popping a xanax! Luis couldn’t have been more patient, cool and understanding. With the perfect combination of being an extremely talented artist and having a very pleasant demeanor with positive energy. He communicated well to understand exactly what I wanted and also toss out creative suggestions, I will absolutely return to him for the next one. Yes, I’m already thinking of the next one!
He guarantees his work for life, which is also a big plus. I think all the artists here is very skilled and talented, but Luis is the one who will do all my ink.

Just got home from sitting two hours in a chair at this shop having one of the most impressive pieces of art put on my arm by «Monkey» Marco Bravo. He was super friendly, easygoing, knew exactly what I wanted with very little direction, and made a seriously happy camper out of me. For my first major tattoo, I can’t even begin to express how thrilled I am. The attention to detail and quality of work is outstanding. I probably shook his hand and thanked him seven or eight times. My friend had a tattoo done by Luis at the same time as I was having mine done and hers is also phenomenal. These guys are top notch, I will definitely go back.

Steve finished my back and i couldn’t be happier. Now my bf is getting sleeves from him and Im jealous! I think i need more ink soon.
I love everyone at this shop. they are friendly and easy to work with. No intimidation or attitude.

My boyfriend is in the process of getting a back piece done here and he took me to get a hot air balloon tattoo by Steve on my wrist a few months back. He hand drew the picture and changed it to how I wanted it. He does super clean work with perfect lines! He has a light hand so it didn’t hurt as bad as the first tattoo I received. I will definitely come back and get more tattoos here!

My artist is Luis. Luis is super nice and friendly. I have walked in on Wednesday afternoon right after they opened the door. I have discussed my concept and ideas with Luis. Luis is very patient, and try to get the perfect design for me based on my description.
The shop is super clean, and feel free to call in first to check artists’ schedules (Each artist has different days off). I will say now this shop will be my go-​to tattoo shop from now on. Also Luis will be my go-​to artist from now on.

I showed up at A&S with an idea of what I wanted. Steve was there and I showed him photos of tattoos in a particular artist’s style, then the original artist’s work (Charles Rennie Makintosh). We scheduled an appt for Tues. I was pleasantly surprised that Steve understood the unusual style and going back to the originals (stained glass windows and paintings, he designed a tattoo for me that was totally in keeping with the style and beautiful. He also showed me different sizes and suggested that I choose the «smaller» (it’s 4−5″) because it wouldn’t be partly covered by my bra straps and band, the same with a swimsuit. He told me he thought it would 1 ½ hours and it took exactly that. (He did not charge me for the time he put in working up the design.) He was so nice and calm, with a steady hand. The shop was clean (with a beautiful sink in the bathroom!) It was reasonably price at $ 150/​hour which is a bit less than the going rate. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my tattoo. I’ll post a photo of it.

After reading so many good reviews I told my boyfriend about this place so he can get his tattoo here. First off, it is very clean and very chill atmosphere. He decided on Jim after seeing his pro-​folio online. Jim was very nice and very patient and helped my boyfriend picked a design! He didn’t take too long and he did an amazing job. My boyfriend was very happy with his tattoo!

I came to Art & Soul mainly for their Tuesday deal of $ 20 for any piercing (not including jewelry). I’m kind of a pussy when it comes to pain, so even the idea of a pair of second lobe piercings got me nervous. Kira, the resident piercer, was so sweet, funny, and laid-​back that it made the whole experience a breeze. I asked her a barrage of questions and she was able to answer them all confidently and knowledgeably, plus she was adamant about cleanliness and sterility.
I intended to get an auricle piercing as well, but Kira suggested I come back after my lobes heal just to take it easy on the body, which I appreciate. My piercings cost me $ 61.80 ($ 20 per piercing, $ 10 for a simple hoop x each lobe + $ 1.80 cc charge) which is totally reasonable. I definitely intend on coming back for more because obviously I’m such a badass when it comes to pain now.

I got my rook pierced here today, and Kira is absolutely incredible! She is very professional and calmed my little bit of nerves by answering all my questions and thoroughly explaining the entire process, as well as after care. She is extremely respectful, very fun, and I am beyond satisfied with my rook! Kira rocks! I will not go to anyone else if I choose to get another piercing!

The shop itself is clean, friendly and has a good vibe. Alayna is an amazing artist. She is super sweet and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Prior to her being on «Best Ink», I was a fan of her work and had seen her work on a coworker. Her consult was thorough and considering what the final result was, the price was very reasonable. I have almost two full sleeves and her piece is by far the best and have been complimented on it almost on a daily basis. I will definitely return to finish my sleeves.

ALAYNA is the BEST! I recently went in for my third and fourth additions to my arm. Alayna has been building a celestial piece on my upper arm. With each new installment she creates a background that is different from the other pieces, however, they blend beautifully. Im so happy with what she has done and I’am constantly getting compliments. People tell me «it’s like a painting»…exactly what i was going for ;-)
Oh! I know I have said it before… but Alayna has a super soft touch. If you have any fear in regards to pain… you will be golden with her gentleness!

Hm I’m so conflicted about this place. Hence, the 3 stars.
If there’s one thing I recommend, it’s to ask about pricing. This place isn’t cheap by any means. It’s clean and they do a good job, so I’d recommend it. But it’s not cheap so make sure you are ready to pay what massive price they tell you.
When I first walked in, I did not feel welcome at all, which made me feel awkward and uncomfortable — not how you want to feel if you’re about to encounter needles. Everyone just turned and stared as my friend and I walked in. After a minute of awkward standing, one of the guys looked up from his sketchbook and I said I wanted my ears pierced and he gestured to the piercing specialist and looked back down.
The woman who does the piercings is named Kira. She is very nice and helpful and thorough, all things you want. She was funny, and she was honest about aftercare. I’ve been to places before that force you to buy some saline solution or whatever. She didn’t do this.
Other than the unwelcoming uncomfortable atmosphere (which I now realize might be largely due to the fact that there’s no music playing), my only complaint is that this place is quite expensive which is fine but I was never talked to about prices until it was time to pay. I know I’m partially at fault because I could’ve brought it up but it slipped my mind.
My only consolation is that she was really fuckin nice. I don’t mind supporting her. I hope she gets most of that money…

Love this shop, cool and friendly artists. Romeo does all my work but I wanna get some work done by some of the other artists. Come get a tattoo!

If you need a pinup girl this is place and alayna is tue girl to get it from. Really nice atmosphere everyone is really cool. Alayna was awesome she was super nice and did an amazing job. After looking at her work online I came in and told her my idea and she drew it right up for me and It was awesome! I highly recommend this place and especially alayna.

I got my first tattoo here with Jim, and I gotta say he did an amazing job. The first time I walked in to inquire about my idea, one of the guys there suggested Jim, saying that he’d be good at what I wanted. I waited for him to finish up the piece he was working on. He came up to me and I told him what I had in mind. He said he could do it, and he gave me a price of around $ 350. Since I’m new to this whole tattoo thing, I asked if that was determined by time. He told me that he based it on time and details, but once he gave me a quote, he would work until it looked good, even if it took much longer than expected. That’s when I knew he was the right one.
As for the actual experience, he made it really easy. He is very nice, soft spoken, and gentle. He makes you feel at ease, and asks how you’re doing once in a while to make sure you’re okay. All in all, I totally recommend him! I’m definitely coming back for my next tat!

I went in at 9:30 pm on a whim. I have been wanting to get my 1995 shark tattoo touched up for a while now. Jim was there, looked at it said he could do it. I said now, he said sure.
It looks even better than when I first got it. The outline was redone and sharpened up. He even added a few extra touches that weren’t in the original. I didn’t want to keep him too late, but we talked about updating the color later, which he said he could do, as well as some mods to really make it pop.
I wasn’t planning on another tat, but now I think I may be getting one just cuz I feel like I would be in great hands working with Jim. Highly recommend.

I got a small koi on my wrist done by Jim Parchen about 18 months ago. It looks really nice and I get lots of compliments on it. It was summer when I got it and I had a beach vacation planned three weeks later. I was a little worried about healing and Jim told me what to do. And he said I could come back after and he would fix anything that wasn’t right. But I never needed to go in because everything looked great and still does. If I get another tattoo, I will go to Jim.
I guess the only reason I’m giving the place 4 instead of 5 stars is because it was really sweltering in the shop that day and I don’t think that’s the greatest situation for getting a tattoo.
