Atelier Cuticle Spa

I went to Atelier Cuticle Spa for a french manicure. It was $ 40, and I have to say it was very well worth it. This place uses organic material and the store isn’t infused with intoxicating chemicals. The lady who did my nails was very nice. I got my manicure 3 weeks ago, and though I have some minor chipping (due to my poor handling), the manicure itself has managed to stay on to this point!

One thing that stood out about this place was its group-​friendly experience. I’ve gone to way too many pedicures with friends where we end up on different sides of the room yelling at each other to talk or end up not talking at all. The place has high ceilings and is bright and airy which I loved. They have cushions and benches against the wall making it easy to sit with your friends. We got french gel manicures, but they weren’t very clear about the price upfront. It ended up being $ 40 but they took their time and did a really good job! My meter was running out and I was gong to leave in the middle but the girl doing my nails took my card and ran to the meter for me so I didn’t mess up my nails! I think I would come here again only if I was coming with a large group of girls. Parking wasn’t too bad if you turned off of the main street onto residential areas.

Melrose is already as quirky and fun as it gets, and this nail salon was a good choice for a last minute French gel manicure. We called, and apparently we came at an optimal time because there was absolutely no wait. More clients arrived after us and because the ladies worked so quickly, they were able to service them soon after they arrived.
The décor and arrangement of the space was very cute and aimed at comfort — instead of individual spa chairs there was one long cushioned sitting area with foot spas spaced out so that friends can easily seat next to and talk with each other. The manicure stations weren’t the most comfortable, but for the sake of catching up with friends it was great to be very close together in proximity. The French manicure itself was very fast and one of the girls was so kind that she offered to go and add more money to our meter instead of risking ruining our manicure. So sweet!
The girls continually asked if we were satisfied with how the nails looked and were very receptive to changing what we asked them to change. My manicure still looks very good and the gel has withstood the test of a week.
I have to try a pedicure but I’m sure I’ll be back. Although it wasn’t outstanding, sometimes you just have to find reliable :)

They ALWAYS do a great job. Since I moved to LA, I go there every two weeks for gel manicure, and they last to perfection. They are super nice and professional. I would totally recommend this place

I’m an idiot. I’ve lived in the area the entire time Atelier has been open, and last night was the first time I had even gone in. I was having an awful day and just needed a little pick me up.
Holy crap, I’m in love. Everyone was so attentive and sweet. Tammy did my hands while I believe it was Jenny who did my feet. They both spent the time that made this a quality mani pedi. $ 35 by the way. The massage was so relaxing and the attention to detail is rare to come by in these little salons on Melrose.

I’ve been putting off writing this review because I secretly want to keep this gem all to myself! Since there are sooo many nails salons to choose from in my neighborhood, it’s hard to choose. I have tried quite a few in the area and I love this place. Its a nice salon and they use all organic products. They provide a high quality service. All the girls do amazing work and are super nice! Yay!

CLIENT BEWARE
Last time I went to this salon I went to the bathroom and left my Chanel glasses in the restroom. The manicurists went back there several times and saw them there but did not try to ask who’s they were. I left the salon and an hour later I realized I had left them. I called the manager and she said that they had them and I could pick them up. Not 10 minutes later she called and told me that she had been mistaken and that the glasses were NOT there.
So either she never checked and just assumed they were still back there, or they“disappeared”.
The owner promised me to give me a free service for the issue that occurred.
A month later I went and he said the best he could do was 15% off. I laughed. I’ll never go back there. They don’t care about their clients and honestly are super sketchy.

Sure, they have quite a selection of polishes to choose from but the quality of the application and mani/​pedi services wasn’t spectacular.
My nails were crooked and some were way shorter than others. The lady for my mani didn’t nick me but my cuticles were pretty raw. She also didn’t cover the whole nail.
The place is really nice tho. High ceilings and cute décor.

Very relaxing atmosphere, no air conditioner is the only draw back. They have an array of colors to choose from and my pedicure looks amazing.

Salon definitely met my expectations (: Great customer service! Nail salon is very clean, the products they use have less chemicals than the normal brands/​they use organic products (SNS) & also have a great nail polish collection!

This place met my expectations. I made an appoitment the same day and when i arrived I was helped within 5 minutes. The place is clean and I like the tile set up for the pedicures. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable, the pillows helped but i wish i could have reclined.
The pedicure was meticulous and Tammy did a good job. She gave me a foot massage for a decent amount of time and it was relaxing.
Manicure was good, but she put 3 coats of nail polish on top of a base coat and later a top coat. The color stand out and it looked nice, but in 4 days it started falling off. Next time i would stick to only 2 coats.
I recommend it for $ 35 mani/​pedi it is worth it. The place is very clean and the young ladies give a great customer service

Just got a mani-​pedi here. They have the best products — all either five-​free or four-​free (less chemicals than normal brands). The space is clean, the girls are sweet and they do a great job! It always seems empty, but that’s because they try to space out appointments so that two people can work on one customer at a time.

Love this nail spa! The nail techs (all of them) are all true perfectionists. I mean seriously, my last manicure lasted 10 days with barely a single chip on one nail. The massage is absolutely phenomenal, and very generous in length. This nail spa is modern, chic, quiet, spotless clean, and very relaxing. I couldn’t recommend them more! Each visit (2 for me now) has been truly memorable, these gals treat you with warmth and gratitude.
Can’t wait to come back next week!

I ended up here after my usual pedi-​place was closed for Easter. It’s a nice, bright, clean open space that’s very welcoming. I didn’t have an appointment, but only had to wait about 10 minutes. They had a comfy couch and some magazines. They had a huge array of polish colors to choose from, even though I brought my own.
My pedicure was impeccable.
The only reason I docked a star is because I’ve become very accustomed to the massage chairs they have in some salons. I didn’t really know how to sit comfortably on their cushioned long bench-​thing. I know that’s just a personal preference thing, but worth noting for anyone else who’s used to those individual massage chairs!
