I LOVE THESE GUYS! I have been going here for a few years now and even referred my friends who have had nothing short of excellent service provided to them, which of course made me feel good. I have a BMW and a Jeep Wrangler Limited and whenever one of them has an issue I take it here FIRST! They have always been honest, friendly and fast with repairs. I have nothing but positive things to say about these guys! I’ve come here for multiple oil changes, replacing my front two control arms, and am about to go back to have my front two struts replaced. I’m excited to finally find a place that is 100% honest, fair, and genuinely looks out for the customer and passes on savings. One of my favorite things about this place is that when they do work on your car, they teach you about what is being replaced so you can better understand the problem.

They are liar! Don’t believe them! my engine mount broken! they give me an offer about $ 800 and I will found other mechanic service! the part is just only $ 25 and i gave labor about $ 35. can you imagine. they will try to fraud you!

By far – the best auto repair shop in town! I got an estimate from my BMW dealer for a replacement battery and starter. Since their estimate was highway robbery, my ‘go to’ body shop (Oates Auto Body-​next door to Auto PhD) recommended these guys. Their prices for BMW parts and labor was ¼ of the price quoted by the dealer. Since then, I go there for all of my repairs! They are honest, reliable and reasonably priced. They won’t repair until they check in with you first and they return all old parts to you! And – your car is always ready (sometimes sooner) at the time they say it will be ready! Also, they are polite and respectful and will help you prioritize repairs and offer you alternatives to pricey repairs to work within your budget if you can’t get everything fixed at one time.

Love this place! Been going here for years now, I had my car towed from Universal Studios to the shop, the owner made sure my car made it there safely & the next day, called me told me the problem and it was fixed by that afternoon. This team is amazing!

I found this shop about a year ago, since the first visit I have been nothing but beyond satisfied with their work. They are friendly, laid back, honest and quick. I have had them do everything from hoses, radiator, rotors, pads, seals and more. They have always accommodated my needs and budget! They have never tried to up sell me on anything, they always go above and beyond in service and workmanship.
They are absolutely my favorite shop in Los Angeles! I have had my car, my wife’s car, my buddies car, all serviced here and will continue doing so until they invent personal teleportation devices :)

I came here a year ago by accident and they helped us out with my mom’s Volkswagen. We were so impressed with the great customer service that we wanted to come back to fix our other two cars but we forgot where it was located. This week I found Auto PHD again and Elio remembered us from a year ago and gladly helped us with my squealing brakes. Also I went to different places trying to get mechanics to figure out what was wrong with my car since it was shaking in the mornings almost like it was gonna turn off but none of them knew what was going on especially because my car didn’t give us any codes. Elio from Auto PHD figured out my air valve was the problem and we now know what needs fixing. Their prices are fair and they really know what they are doing. I definitely recommend people experiencing problems with their car to come here and get it fixed. They never use cheap materials so you are gonna get the best parts with the best quality so your car is guaranteed to work and will not give you any more problems in a long long time. From 1 to 10 this place is a 10!!!

Auto PhD came up in conversation while describing the frustration I was having with my car being in another shop. The woman telling me about it was adamant that she’d had the best experience here, so I bookmarked them and hoped I wouldn’t have to use them for awhile. Well, as it turned out, my car wouldn’t start only one month after getting pretty extensive work done elsewhere, so I had the opportunity to try them out.
Everything she said was true for me as well. They looked over my car and showed me what was wrong. They described what had to be done and gave me two estimates… one for the work they anticipated, and one in case it turned out to be something bigger than could be detected in the moment. They fixed the issues for the lower estimate and the turnaround was fast. The really cool thing was that when I went back, they had the old parts to show me, then pointed out the work they’d done so that I actually understood what I was paying for. Oftentimes with mechanical stuff it feels like I have to trust blindly that improvements were made, even though I have no idea what actually happened! It’s a relief to have discovered such a professional establishment where I was treated with respect and my business felt valued. I will absolutely use them going forward!

Me and my wife we have rented 1.5 months from AutoPhD last spring and were completely satisfied with the service. They have even given us an upgrade SUV car for couple days use while we were waiting for the original economy car we have selected.

This was a very pleasant and productive visit. The staff was very friendly and informative. They even offer complimentary beverages. Pricing is very reasonable. I got a synthetic oil change for $ 55 and did not have to wait. I will definitely be a returning customer.

We stopped by Pep Boys, 300 dollars for labor. Plus 8 hour wait. This was 40 dollars for labor, including the part. In less than 30 minutes, I was on about my day. Spend your money with decent people. ^_^

This is a great place to go for repairs. Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful and their prices are hard to beat. I had gotten a few estimates for replacing my AC unit and Auto phd was the lowest. They also gave me a warranty for all their repairs. It was very easy getting in touch with them over the phone and they called me with updates.
Highly recommended!
