Never again will I attend this place. Dj stopped playing music on several occacions. Drinks were waterd down and If your on the guestlist they will make you wait in-line and won’t let you in until after the guestlist is closed so you can pay the $ 20 cover charge. We payed to get in an left 20 min after because we hated it; we headed down to Broadway bar instead.

This place is probably one of the worst clubs I have ever been to… I was there this past Saturday and I must say I walked in to a crowd of about 5 people(mind you I walked in with 50 peole), they need to do a lot more promoting and they need to get a better dj for sure the music sucked… I will never go back not even if they paid me to.

We ended up at B52 on a Friday night because it was across the street from Golden Goepher, and wanted to go somewhere to dance. We walked in, and got to dance, but just as a heads up, Friday night is their Latin night. We didn’t know that going in, so just FYI. It was still fun and a good time, the music was Top 40s mixed with some Latino songs. There was also a singer, unfortunately, I don’t remember his name, he wasn’t very good though. Overall, it was a good time, big dance floor, and a long bar. There aren’t too many places to sit though other than the VIP booths.

$ 4 parking… great $ 11 dollar drinks… ok $ 20 cover… what? Came here a few months ago for a friends bday party. I came on a Saturday and it was poppin. They have gogo dancers on stage. 2 floors and both were packed with people having a great time. However I don’t think this place warrants a $ 20 cover… maybe $ 10. Fight broke out… would’ve given this place 2 stars but I had an A-OK time, so I will be nice and go with 3.

B-52? B-fifty bust! Foolishly I did not peek inside to check out if paying cover was worth it, so we got half off and thought were were coming out on top until we walked into an EMPTYCLUB on a FRIDAYNIGHT. Their excuse? The promoters did a bad job. I got a couple LA waters and looked for the smoking patio, the gentlemen directed me to a back door which led to the street… –___– They got a bunch of TVs everywhere showing their club cracking and everyone having a good time… such a bummer that it wasnt the night we were there. One saving grace about this place was that since it was empty, I found this room where its pretty much couches and pillows and had a makeshift pillowfight with my buddy. Thats the last time I trust 4 clueless gals that never go out in picking a place.

Pretty much this place sucks. Another sad story of a large empty venue on a Friday night playing late 90s/early ’00 rap music. I can’t believe the bouncer was actually going to charge us $ 10 to get in. Pshh! Are you kidding? They should be paying us. The funniest part about this place is that they have this red carpet and rope Grammy style on the outside, like they need it!

Bass was thumping, but the music was ok. The dance floor is pretty small. One long bar, a couple of bartenders, but the shots were pretty weak. Workers there don’t know how to up-sell drinks. They have carpet at the bar, mixed with alcohol & drunk people = sticky shoes! Wouldn’t go back cause seems like everyone and there mom goes there. I felt like I was in high school again. I guess it would be an okay spot for someone who wants to still relive the glorious high school days. The décor tried to be an upscale lounge, but still felt cheap. I would not go again.

B-52 is the ghettoest club in downtown LA. The security personel are very rude and aggressive with everyone. The music was alright that would be the only good thing about this club. I would never go to that club ever again or ever recomend anyone to go there.

Ghetto! But fun. Remember kids, sometimes it’s the ghettoest places that play the best music and have the strongest drinks.

Seriously found this place by accident! We were trying to find parking for Broadway Bar then turned the corner and saw a huge line for this place so said f*ck it.. .. lets go there! $ 4 dollar parking is pretty darn kewl, got in free cause these guys said to just tell them we are with some b-day girl. Bathrooms werent too clean, DJ was good, nice looking Go-Go Dancers, strong as hell drinks, and very mixed crowd but mostly Hispanic. I had an okay time!

Me and my love happened to be bar hoping on Saturday night and we stumbled upon this club/lounge when they wouldn’t let us in the Golden Gopher because it was around 1:30am. As we approached the door my lover asked if we can just go in and get a drink– the guy at the door patted his back and said sure! lol Apparently there is a cover fee of $ 20 per person that we didn’t have to pay =) Overall I loved that the bar was about a mile long therefore I didnt have to wait for my drinks! They have a huge dancing floor and overall a good DJ we danced a few songs and then we went upstairs to find out that they have another small lounge with another DJ. The place is overall pretty hot but Ive been to worse this was definitely tolerable and might I say HUGE! We bumped into basically most of my boyfriends hs classmates which is always fun. They were in no rush to kick us out therefore we ended up partying till about 2:30 am =) which is always pleasant! I will probably go back if and only I can have that cover fee waived!

went to this place on sat. night. my girl got bottle service there. all i’m gonna say is: «why can’t you book your bottle service over the phone?» i got there @ 10 pm just to find out they weren’t letting no one in till 10:30. once my friend got there they took for ever trying to figure out what«table» to give us, then they requested payment, all this while we were all standing outside! that is not necessary! i mean common on now we are not going there for an interview! it almost feels that way at most of these clubs now a days… to sum it all up i didn’t like the place, yea the décor was alright. the dj sucked!!! my own opinion(no offense to that dude but i think he needs more practice time) will i got back to this place? no. i rather just turn pandora on at home and party in my room

Ughh. What else can I say? You’ll see a better use of neon lights on an old rice-mobile. If you want to step back to hip-hop/R&B clubs from 10 years ago, then this is your spot. The sad part is that this is way better than the former incarnation as 8 Hill.

A new dance club/lounge downtown is always welcome in my book considering how over The Edison and The Standard are but B-52 is not the savior of the DTLA dance scene either. When we first got there I noticed a few things I loved: huge dance floor, great music, and great décor. The table areas in the main room look like grand cabanas and have really luxe plush seating. Our table was behind a bank vault door and while exclusivity has a certain novelty we can all appreciate, proper air flow and circulation always trumps that. Upon entering the room you immediately notice that it’s about 5 – 10 degrees warmer than right outside the door. Even an a/c unit blowing air at 62 degrees on full blast couldn’t help this spot. Getting service was an adventure all its own. At the table we quickly ran out of glasses and had to go to the bar to request some. It’s very obvious that this place and its staff are brand new because the bartenders have trouble remembering a simple two-drink order. Add in the lack of an outdoor patio option and B-52 becomes a super dissapointment EXCEPT for its saving grace, the DJs. Whoeever is responsible for the music decisions here is clearly the most brilliant person in the room. A great mix of hip-hop/R&B/pop from the 90s to today. If I wasn’t loving every song that pumped through the speakers I’d have definitely hopped on over to the Gopher, Broadway Bar, or La Cita in a second! All in all, I’d say check out B-52 if you’re really in the mood to dance but don’t get your hopes up for anything life changing!
