The absolute worst. Dr. Schenck overcharged me, admitted it, then refused to change the fees. It took forever to get this resolved. I never received an apology, but did receive average care and a lot of attitude.

The place itself may be good. BUT Dr Margaret was cold, charged way too much and loaded me w/​too many supplements — also, never called to see how I was. In ending: WAY, WAY, WAY OVERPRICED!!!

I approached Balance Westside Wellness to help treat some adult acne issues at the suggestion of my wife who had excellent experiences with Dr. Michelle Gerber.
Dr. Schenck got in touch with me, and at first I was happy to talk to someone that specialized in auto-​immune disorder and dysfunction.
The treatment plan I was on was costly, as were the tests and office visits, and so I expected more results than what I got. That being said, I also expected a certain amount of patient care along with the cash I was bleeding.
I found working with her to be a disappointing experience, especially after my wife’s glowing reviews of Dr. Gerber. Unlike my wife’s experience, I found that when I reached out to Dr. Schenck with questions about my treatment plan, that she usually suggested we schedule another costly in-​person meeting. After a few thousand dollars, I decided to give up her treatment plan and seek help elsewhere.
As much as she talks about education being an important part of her treatment plan, I found that she was less generous with her time and commitment to me than Dr. Gerber’s involvement with my wife. Overall a disappointing experience.

Where do I start? There are so many great things to say about Balance Westside Wellness!
1. The people — so friendly, welcoming, approachable and helpful. They make me feel so comfortable all the time. They have integrity. They have follow-​up. I’ve experienced this many times with Anna and Erin in particular, as well as the practitioners I’ve seen. (See below.) I can trust them with anything!
2. The place — very calming and soothing. While you wait, there are plenty of healthy reading materials… also water and a variety of teas to choose from!
3. The classes/​events — I have been to many of the classes with Dr. Gerber and Dr. Gleisner. Very informative. Small groups for a more intimate and beneficial session. There are regular detox classes, as well as fertility and preconception classes and vaccination workshops. There are also regular happy hour spa days!
4. The parking — easy enough. Free garage parking after 6pm, and free on weekends. Meter parking. Also — garage parking (shopping complex) across the street.
5. The practitioners — I have personally been treated by Dr. Gerber and Jeannie Elmstrom. I have already written five-​star reviews about them here and here:

I’ve been watching Balance Westside Wellness expand over the past year. They have more practitioners on site now. They offer more classes than they did a year ago. They’ve developed their website and social networking sources. I love to watch all this positive activity. I’m extremely happy to have found a place I can trust in my healing process.
