Bank of America

I mean Bank of America as a whole is pretty shitty, But this particular branch in the middle of Hollywood is all around Ridiculous. They have greeters who don’t greet, they just look at you. Then you encounter the dreaded line of 15+ people and 2 tellers working. WTF. I’m not exactly sure why I keep putting myself through the torture of Banking with this financial institution; I’m pretty sure I just need mental help. Well I have finally gotten. To the front of the line so I am going to close here.

Service is slow. To make matters worse, the bankers helped 2 people who walked in after me.
The décor is dated and depressing.

Do not use this branch unless you don’t mind waiting in line for a minimum of 15 minutes. Seriously…

There are like 2 employees who are nice and helpful.
But the service here sucks otherwise.
Long lines long waits and some of the tellers are just not friendly. Think it is bad management hopefully they get new manager soon

I must say, Bank of Americas customer service over is horrific. They refuse to help their customers out when they’re in a jam. If you get a fee you better expect them to not budge and help you out under any condition unless it’s fraud. Blood thirsty money hungry bank. Stay away. Go with Chase or Wells Fargo. They’re there for their customers.

Went by the back at 7:15 tonight, on a Sunday. I was SHOCKED to see they actually lock up their ATMs after a certain hour. Why on earth!!! I found a sign that said they’d be locked closed after 8p on Sundays. But what the heck, it’s not even 8 yet!!! I guess they don’t want me to keep my money there. This bank is terrible.

Not just this branch, the whole BOA!
I cash my check every week, same check maybe slightly different amounts but the same one. On top of that its a BoA to BoA and guess what. They have to hold ²⁄₃ with a atm deposit. WHAT THE HELL? If i talk to one of your stupid cashiers I get the whole amount in cash, but if i do check deposit suddenly I have to wait two days? Seriously, you are a very weak excuse for a bank and I hope you bankrupt soon! Ill be canceling my account with this crap bank asap!

I go into a bank maybe two times a year. With online banking there’s really no reason for me to put myself in the position of waiting in these ridiculously long lines. Yes, every time I come here the lines are huge and out of about 15 windows there are only ever 1 – 3 tellers, which makes no sense. There are plenty of people looking for work. Just like when you go into a Wal Mart and there’s 500 checkout counters and only 2 are open.
As I like to do everything completely ass backwards in life, I only come to the physical bank to get change. Yep, I trade hundred dollar bills in for rows of freaking quarters. That’s the plight of not having a washer and dryer in my apartment. I have to schlep down the stairs to the first floor and do my laundry in the communal laundry in our building, which is a story for another day.
So about twice a year I get a couple hundred or so dollars in quarters, which if you think about it could have bought me an upscale washer and dryer and paid for the water bill at this point. That’s enough to make me want to put my head in the spin cycle.
So, here I came on my bi-​annual quarter pilgrimage and what do you know, a big line. To add insult to injury this old guy in a suit ran right past me as I was getting up to the line and slipped in before me. It was pretty rude and if I were 13 again I’d probably have keyed his car. But now the mature adult I am, I just inched up in line right on his coat tails, uncomfortably close to his back (for both of us). If you’re going to be rude, I’m going to get weird.
After about 20 minutes in line smelling old man’s back, I was starting to see this was probably more of a punishment for me than him. Finally got my quarters after weird looks from the teller (who was very nice) about my enormous quarter order. I tell them I’m about to go hit up the arcade, even though, really I’m about to get crazy with a load of whites!

Don’t think you’re ever getting any help here, listen to the other reviews, AVOID if at all possible. They must hire based on arrogance and rudeness, the men here are particularly nasty db’s. God forbid you’ve lost your bank card. And don’t think you can avoid the workers, the machines out front are old and slow, usually wonky. If you deposit money it spits it back out again and again slow as can be, as your neck and face burn in the hot sun for lack of shade cover, ofcourse you’re not able to see the screen from the burning glare. Usually there is an aggressive guard pacing about mad dogging the customers.

I went into cash a check and the lady told me my BOA account had been suspended for inactivity. (I try really hard not to use it, but I was there just last month cashing a check with no issues, so not sure what happened)
After waiting for a banker for about 15 minutes I was then told that we (the banker and I) would have to contact customer service together via the telephone (fine whatever).
He was on hold for about 15 minutes before he hung up and said to me:
«Oh, that department is closed for the day, they are on the East Coast, also, it will eb $ 40 to re-​activate your account, how would you like to pay that? And you’ll have to come back here tomorrow to finalize the activation, and then it will be 24 hours before you can use your account»
I left immediately and will never be back to a Bank of America ever again. Worst customer service ever.

Just the worst BOA branch in the immediate area. At least one of the 4 ATMs is inevitably out of service. The gates are locked around the perimeter in the evenings and early mornings so accessing the ATMs is iffy at best. And this is the site of the only ATM in the country that has ever mishandled a deposit of mine… not crediting me for a check that was deposited necessitating a trip inside to file complaint with the bank and to wait for the physical check to show up when the ATM was emptied and reconciled.
I’ve also seen actual fights nearly break out over parking. No kidding.
Inconvenient and not reliable. Avoid this location.

I just went in here to cash a check, I normally go to the other branch at sunset and vine which has much more polite customer service-​oriented tellers. I always get asked to open an account, every time I go in, and I decline. I bank elsewhere, I’ll pay the $ 5 fee for my own reasons, no big deal.
AIDA, the bank teller that helped me today kept harassing me about opening an account and I politely said «no. No thank you» incessantly. She then said «ok that’s a five dollar fee, not sure why you insist on paying that.»
As if that’s any of her F-​ING business.
I said «does that bother you?» And she said «no why would it bother me?» And I said «You seem upset.»
She was just a total snob. No customer service skills, rude, arrogant. Will never go here again for anything. Back to sunset and vine’s BofA.

While I can go on and on about how choosing Bank of America [Wank of America when I’ve had a bad banking experience] hasn’t been my best decision, customer service has improved, and that has nothing to do with this particular branch.
I wish the ATM machines were open 24/​7, but otherwise, I’ve always had great service here. If you need cash from a BofA ATM, try the one in front of rock’n’roll ralph’s, even though it’s a bit of a shady location… but it’s just up the street a few blocks.

This is about like any other Bank of America I’ve ever been to except for the fact that the ATMs aren’t accesible 24 hours a day. That can get irritating if you are in need of some cash for an evening out after they close the gates. I’ve only had to go in and speak to a teller once and everything went smoothly with nothing out of ordinary to note. I also don’t understand why they don’t want you to make southerly turns out of their parking lot, must be the people that live down the two streets you can exit to. I’ve never had a problem going that direction so I don’t think they are too stingy about the rule.

I just returned home after a 45-​minute trip to this embarrassing institution. What I had hoped would be a quick 3-​minute ATM trip ended up causing more frustration than any bank excursion ever. I am ready to slice my BOA card in half now.
This branch’s ATMs, while new, don’t work. I spent a good 5 minutes attempting to deposit cash into what they brand «easier, faster» ATMs, but the painfully slow machine continued to spit it back out at me. All the customers next to me had the same problems (and to be honest, every time I try to deposit money into the new ATMs here it refuses to work).
Because of the shoddy machines, myself and the 4 other ATM customers were forced inside to use the teller services. Bad idea. The line reached the entrance, filled with angry, sweaty customers. Every few minutes a whole new slew of disgruntled customers would end up inside, being refused by the new, «smart» ATMs outdoors.
I waited in line for 30 minutes before I gave up and walked out, cursing under my breath like a mad man. If this branch doesn’t fix these new ATMs they will soon have a lot less customers.
Don’t Go!

What kind of establishment that deals in money locks out it’s customers at night? While I am not one to sing praises of a bank, (You bring them money, they take it. We’re not splitting atoms here) I would like to have 24 hour access to the ATMs.
After 9pm on any given night and 6pm on Sundays, you can kiss that goodbye. No ATM access unless you consider hopping the fence. Now I’m no doctorate holder, but that’s probably not a good idea at a bank.
