I literally just got up and walked away from the bar. After sitting there for 15 mins, someone other than the bartender acknowledged us, took our drink order and entered it into the computer system. Sat for another 10 minutes and still no cocktails. The same lady that entered our drink order checked on us again and saw that we STILL didn’t have drinks and had the nerve to ask if we had cocktails. ok. WTF. I finally just said to forget it. And we got up and left. No apology, no acknowledgement from slow bartender. None. The place wasn’t busy. Horrible place.

Bar Mateo is located in the back part of Zinc Café. To get to it you turn the corner and walk straight through the patio.
I was on a bar crawl in DTLA, and this place was our final stop. They were obviously slammed with patrons, but the servers were nice and the cocktails we had tasted pretty good.
The bar seems like a fresh little spot to hang at and has a hipster vibe to it, being in that part of town.
