Barbering By Shane

I found Shane on Unilocal this past weekend. I messaged him to schedule an appointment and he was courteous and responsive.
Went to the Salon today for the appointment. I arrive about 10 min early and Shane was cutting another clients hair. He finished and cleaned up and was exactly on-​time for my appointment.
He gave me a terrific cut and I enjoyed the conversation very much.

Had my first cut by Shane today. Just like everyone else said — he’s a professional and can perfectly interpret your shitty attempts at describing what you want. I basically just mumbled some noises and all of my hopes and dreams came true and I even got a phone number on my walk back home thanks to how fly he made me look. FYI if you’re using waze — you have to cross Main st eastbound to get to his shop. It’s in an open-​space joint called «Industrial DTLA» shared by a few other barbers/​stylists. Black sign, first floor.

Shane is the best barber I’ve ever had, bar none. Shane provides a bespoke service experience severely lacking in the chain barber shops. From personally prompting me when my next cut is due and accommodating my cut time as much as possible to seating me in his barber chair promptly upon arrival before always providing a great cut and shave, Shane is worth the modest increase in price over the chain barber shops and more.
Shane always keeps me looking sharp and clean and my days of a «bad cut» have long been forgotten.

This is the guy you’re looking for. After (shamelessly) posting a selfie and receiving numerous compliments on my cut, it’s no doubt that this guy knows what he’s doing and does it well. Really well.
Shane is a very friendly guy and will gladly advise you on what types of haircuts work best, while sparking fun conversation. He makes time for you when you need a cut, and will take his time while doing the job to ensure you get the best cut possible.

With one call I was able to schedule a same day cut with Shane one early evening. Was a very convenient easy-​to-​find location inside a well-​kept salon. Shane was immediately accommodating, friendly and welcoming to me.
While giving my cut, we covered many topics including his experiences and my personal favorite topic, the Lakers. This guy knows his stuff, be it his craft or honest opinion, and as a customer you can feel you’re in great hands for the session and can expect that bottom-​line consideration and respect for future visits.
The cut was exactly what I asked for and I am happy I’ve found such an experienced barber close to my work within walking distance. Shane seems to be a busy guy, so be sure to call for availability. The cost is definitely in the $$ category vs. $, but you will get what you pay for.

Shane really knows what he’s doing! He has lots of experience, and a great eye. I have not felt this fresh and clean in a long time.

Best barber in downtown. Hands down.
I’ve literally almost been to every spot in DTLA & Long Beach that does mens hair and had pretty much given up just thinking I had no idea how to tell somebody what I wanted.
Then I met Shane. Dude’s the real deal, No BS approach. He’s got a ton of talent, he takes his trade seriously, and you can tell. He truly listens and works with you on getting what you want.
The search is over.

Most convenient location in downtown! Shane is a great barber and a down to earth person as well. Great work ethic, along with a great sense of style, this guy knows his shit! Do not hesitate to go see him!

First, my long search for a capable and knowledgeable barber is finally over!
Shane can cut my stubborn stick-​straight Asian hair. It is nearly impossible to make my hair lay right and flow, but somehow my man Shane can work his skills and my cuts have always been spot-​on. LBGT friendly and the shop he cuts in is immaculate. His scissors and clippers are top quality and always clean. He straight razors at the end, which always keeps it fresh until the next cut.
Shane is a good guy who is always pleasant. He is a great conversationalist, proving further that he is a real barber! There is no attitude and all talent!
His prices are exceptional and really is the best deal in town. Get a cut by him and you will be coming back again and again. I was reluctant to write this review because I don’t want to have to wait a week to get in for an appointment once word gets out, but at the same time more people need to realize how awesome of a barber Shane is and what a legit haircut looks like.

Shane is a real Angelino and knows how to give a good haircut while providing good hospitality. I found his place through Unilocal (looked for what was open at 7:30pm on a Tuesday night) and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. I even managed to find some cool new restaurant on 8^th st after.

Shane is skilled, knows his stuff and gives a great cut every time. Nice location, good people watching inside the shop and Shane is cool to talk to, keeps it real.

As well all know, finding a good barber isn’t always the easiest thing to do. I was referred to Shane and decided to give him a try. After a few trips, I now feel that Shane is probably the only person I’ll trust with cutting my hair. Shane is truly an expert at what he does, and at a great price. I feel that he is worth driving to from the Glendale area, knowing that I will be pleased with my cut. Shane is definitely a good choice when choosing barber, and rightfully so. He has the ability make your ideal haircut come to life with ease. I’d recommend Shane to anyone!

This is a no brainer. Why get your hair cut anywhere else? Shane is the man. A perfect cut every time. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
