This club deserves no stars, zero, zilch, nada. Let me just put it out there that I unfortunately stepped foot in this club because of a friend’s birthday otherwise I would have listened to the reviews people wrote because they were all correct. The music was wack, it was all played out music from the radio. Please tell me who in their right mind decided to place couches in the middle of the dance floor! Wow! That in itself is so ridiculous and the least they could have done was reserve it for some dimes not sevens.

Music was not danceable. Pure music where you listen to rather than dance. I could just turn on my radio if I wanted the music they were playing.

Place is complete trash, security harass everyone in line, and even when you buy a ticket they expect you to slide them $ 20 under the table for special treatment, bunch of narcissistic tools. Overall venue was terrible, poorly ran, probably one of the worst venues in LA if not California. You drive a hour from home to find out there’s a dress code but they have so many different people selling tickets online that only 1 company actually put the dress code online and the other 4 or 5 didn’t. So we waited and argued another hour saying that’s your guys fault but they said we obviously weren’t looking when we bought it lmao. Don’t go here. Worst customer service, they had the audacity to tell my girl«that’s why you can’t get in «and laughed. Boy bought his suit from walmart, shoes from payless and got his hair cut by Hellen Keller.

Please don’t believe the hype«under new Management» … Same shady & corrupt staff as usual«give me all your money or you gotta leave« … On a small receipt, $ 23.00 the bartender automatically included a tip for himself and I didn’t notice until later . The last time I came here there were mysterious extra charges on my debit card. What kind of BS is this? That is what I’d like to know … God I should have known better ! Thumbs down

I don’t normally write reviews much but had so much fun here I have to share. This is the best club in town. The sound system rocks and the staff is so friendly. The music is top notch and I danced my a** off. I can’t wait to go again!

Bought tickets to the Neon paint Party online printed them out and everything, when we went to the event they turned us around and said the event was«at capacity». We saw tons of people leaving the event and yet they were still at capacity Horribly planned event and a terrible experience If your Looking to have a great night and fun time Don’t go here

Over 200 people with tickets left outside because the club was«at capacity» 5 hours before the end of the event. Maybe they wouldn’t have hit capacity so quickly if they hadn’t taken bribes. There is a reason why this club has 2.5 stars and is considered by many the shittiest in downtown. Terrible management, terrible service, don’t even bother.

Horrible place. Waited hours in line just to bectold they are at capacity. Security are slow responders, a fight started and it took them 30 minutes to come out. The venue use a third party seller to avoid customer service responsibility. Charging extra to get in. Should’ve listen to the reviews about this shady place. Avoid at all cost.

Worst venue ever! You pay to get in then you wait HOURS to get in no matter what event is occurring! They will always have an «express line» for quick entry which you pay even MORE money for! Of course they will not refund you for your ticket or the inconvenience and basically give you the finger for being stupid enough to give them a chance. I’ve been here several times and this has happened along with many shady occurrences with me and friends

Horrible business they sold the tickets past capacity and fucked at least 50 people in line total fucking scam, plus what I’m assuming was the owner of the club was cussing people out in the front he obviously doesn’t know how to run a club, don’t bother wasting your money here there are plenty of other better places to go in Hollywood

Absolute HORRIBLE theater. Do not waste any money here because they will charge you but once you get to the event its«full». Right in front of me, they took cash from a walk in over an already paid customer. Then stopped the line. SCAMSCAMSCAM Try another night club for a good night. Not this ridiculous buzz kill! Theres a solid reason why they have a 2 ½ star!

I came here for a sold out show with little expectations after hearing bad things about the venue. Fortunately, I had a great experience and didn’t encounter any problems like others did. Didn’t get to explore the place too much but it was spacious. Some things I noted…: –valet parking nearby. Says $ 15 but they upcharge an extra $ 5 – 10 once the lot is almost full… –even with long line, moved very quickly –security was chill –well kept restrooms(at least for women’s) –sound system was good if you were up in front(bring earplugs tho) but was okay anywhere else -$ 6 for water… –drinks are also pricy –there are seating on the sides and back Overall this venue is okay. Wouldn’t mind coming back here in the future but I just hope I have the same experience as I did the first time.

Went for the 8th anniversary celebration of rnb live. Basement was closed and didn’t go on the cigar lounge. Lots of bar areas. The one to the right as you go in had seating w tvs. Had a whiskey sour in s plastic cup for $ 12 so drinking before you arrive isn’t a bad idea. Never been to a music venue that didn’t have seating if you didn’t buy a table. More people were standing than sitting. I came alone so I didn’t see the point of a table. Venue was nice and the people at the door were fine. One line was for those without tickets but I’m glad I had mine because there wasn’t much of one.

My review is for the underground rooms and upstairs patio for the Belasco on a function night. LOVEANDLUSTEVENTSPRESENTS: NIGHTMAREINWONDERLAND2016. My group had arrived before doors opened. Security said if we’d like, we could wait by the door or go across the street and wait there. We opted for the latter for people watching and… other reasons haha. We did get back in line before doors opened and the line got long though. Security did go up and down asking people if anyone had ‘express passes’ or whatever, at $ 5 each haha No big deal for us, we were at the front so the line seemed to moved quick enough. It didn’t seem like they were holding back the line so more people would buy passes. Staff throughout the venue and the event were all VERY helpful, cool and professional. I felt like i was in a movie, getting waved down the stairs and going through all the rooms. All good vibes from everyone. Underground sound system and lights were great! Very loud though so everyone PLEASE wear some sort of ear protection! haha Bartenders were all super fast and attentive. First drink I ordered was a long island iced tea… VERY Strong! More ABV than most place I’ve ordered them from. But it came with a $ 14 price tag… No dive prices here! lol Still, every time i came back for more drinks, I never had to wait too long. NOTE: Water is $ 6 for a bottle which is EXTREMELYUNFAIR for the under 21 crowd. You also can’t get ice without buying a water so be prepared for that. The upstairs patio was very cool! Lots of seating, tables, and a pretty good view of the city streets. There’s a bar up there and lots of mingling as well. The Belasco did a good job of holding the event and for my first ‘perish party’ there. Would definitely come back for another L&L event :)

Came last night for the Hollywood carnival band launch. My favorite artist Machel Montaño was playing. The place is quite large, but hot as hell! You can smell the smoke inside the theater, because people smoke by the bathrooms. Lots of drunk people, and wonder how, when the drinks are 15.00 for a Dixie cup, and watered down! I found parking diagonally across the street for 13.00. I only stayed 2 hours because the humid heat in there, was unbearable! I wouldn’t go again, unless someone I really wanted to see, was playing there. Get your buzz on at home too!

Went to Belasco for the first time last night to see one of my favorite artists – the living legend, Lauryn Hill! She was amazing!!! To say the very least. Anyway, about the club… it was dark so I couldn’t tell how clean it was but the bathrooms were decent for the most part. Although I did use them right in the beginning when doors opened. I got a bottle of water that cost $ 6, but really $ 7 cuz I tipped the bartender. I should have gotten an alcoholic beverage but I didn’t have enough food in me so I didn’t wanna risk getting sick and yacking all over everyone. Haha! Overall I had a good experience at the club. The security there was pretty organized, I could tell because I overheard them on their walkie talkies communicating with each other about securing every corner of the club. I liked that they weren’t rude or in your face like other places too. The sound quality from where I was standing(front row & center, yeah baby!) was good. I heard this club use to be a lot of edm music but is now geared towards hip hop so the sound quality with that in consideration was good.

I had more fun here than expected. At first I was leery of this place since it has a bad reputation but I think it really depends on the event you are attending. I came here for deep house event and it was awesome. The place is super huge. I mean super super huge. Every corner or staircase led to a separate room. The place is like a maze and there were at least 12 bars from I remembered. I love the architecture and the ornate details. The crowd for the event was very diverse and we pretty much walked right in even though the line was wrapped around the corner and down the street. Great sounds and complimentary coat check. Drinks were very reasonable for dtla.

Very fun venue… Old design, lots of space to dance dance dance and multiple outdoor patio areas for smoking and or getting air. Because it’s a theater, there is a stage in front and standing room around it that makes the dance floor so the main focus is the performer as opposed to tables and bottles. It’s not a club, but a venue that hosts different types of events for all different kinds of groups and people. Generally buy tickets beforehand as the ticket line is often shorter(and less costly) than buying at the door. The staff/security isn’t overly pleasant or unpleasant and generally keep to themselves to the point that you don’t really notice them at all. Some nights are 18+, so if you’re one of those people that avoids the younger crowd, just be aware. Also, the hours on Unilocal arent accurate and differ depending on the event. All around a great place to go out!

STAYAWAYFROMTHISSHADYCLUB. THEYWILLSCAMYOU. They advertise that performers will come but they absolutely WILLNOT show up. I paid to see Chris Brown only to find that I was scammed. It was 2AM and not a single announcement on Chris Brown’s cancellation. What the f? They already stole our money so the least they could do is tell us by midnight that he wasn’t going to come. I read reviews that other performers never showed up either. Completely dishonest. Everything about this place is a huge disappointment: sound system sucks, poor ventilation, ratchet and disrespectful crowd, unnecessary fights, overpriced and watered down drinks, aggressive bouncers, ghetto area, & overall trashy environment. Belasco, you deserve no stars.

How fun! I went there for a mini rave. Omg what a different experience, that was the first time that I have gone to an event like that. there are three floors pretty much. When i went to, in every floor they had different vibes. They have two bars on in the main floor and on in the down stairs one. Which they should have one in all of them. But overall it was a nice event.
