I went in on weekday before lunch. There was no waiting and the service was courteous and friendly. I printed a coupon online and the total for the smog check was $ 40.00. What a breeze.

Showed up at 9 without an appointment and he took my car right away. Took about 15 min. Found a coupon online for $ 29+ fees (certificate) which came out to exactly $ 40 out the door. The man who did the check wasn’t overly talkative but was nice and professional.
Take off half a point for the guy who greeted me, acted like the owner, and told me it would be $ 45.75 instead, and tried to charge me $ 25 to renew my DMV registration. Turns out he didn’t even work there but says he was friends with the owner and he worked next door. Normally would dock the shop for this, but they acted like they knew him and did nothing to intervene.

I am sick of these smog check stations ripping people off. Before I got the coupon for this place, I called several other smog stations and their prices were outrageous! When I called here, I told him I had a coupon and he quoted me the total after fees and when I got here, he had the form filled out and ready for me to fill out my identity information. He pulled my car forward and started working right away! Fast, friendly and courteous. I think I will come here all the time, and I recommend him to anyone. And I will be putting word through other social media as well! 12 minutes max, I was here…

which made the entire process $ 40 (including the state fees). I showed up around noon on a Thursday without any appointment, the inspection took 15 minutes, and I was on my way.

I couldn’t have asked for a better smog check (never thought I’d be writing those words). Beverly Smog Check was cheap (I found a coupon online for $ 29.75, or $ 40 w/​mandatory state fees) and fast (I was in and out in about 15 minutes) and the service was friendly.
From the reviews, a lot of smog check places seem to offer bad service for a lot of $. Beverly Smog Check isn’t one of them — I don’t know if you can find a better deal than them. (One thing to note is that they don’t take reservations — call ahead to see if they’re busy.)

I found a coupon online, called Beverly Smog Check and confirmed it was valid. They don’t make appointments, but I was told they weren’t busy. Brought my car in a couple hours later. Vick did the test; no waiting, fast and pleasant.

i love this place! the owner is very quick & friendly. and he showered my chihuahua with compliments :)
when i pulled into their tight lot yesterday, i rode up to 3 men who looked at me suspiciously. i was like… aww man, is this part of little armenia where women aren’t allowed to drive? ;) i braved up & requested anyway, with a friendly yet feminist smile, «i’d like to get a smog check?» they were stoic when they told me that the smog checker is already gone for the day.
but when i returned today, they were very friendly & the owner was sincerely grateful that i came back. my smog check was quick, easy & a bargain at $ 50!

I called around to all the smog check places in my area and this one was the cheapest. I took my car here last week and the guy who runs it was super friendly. The whole thing was nice and easy. And cheap!
