Braids Your Way

First time getting my hair professionally braided. The location is clean and has a nice ambience. They were playing some nice Motown music which was relaxing. The lady who braided my hair was very sweet and always asked me if it was too tight. I love how the braids came out. These ladies are very sweet and kind and know what they are doing. Five stars for sure. I’ll be back when I need my braids done.

Service was phenomenal my hair looks and feels great. All braiders are knowledgeable on hair maintenance to keep that fabulous look in and out of braids. I’ll be back for touch ups.

First of all, I haven’t been to this establishment since the birth of my son almost 4 years ago. Why has it been that long? I haven’t the slightest idea, maybe it’s because I forgot all about this little gem. Quite a few things have changed since I’ve last been there but the quality of the services definitely have not. You will not be interrupted by your braiders cell phone ringing nor will they stop to answer a text. These are things that I consider when I think of returning to a business. The lady who did my hair was Kim. Kim started at about 3 actually braiding my hair. She washed it which was extra but I’m fine with that. And she blow-​dried it and did a light press. She started twisting my hair at 3 and I was out of the shop at about 7 or 7:05. I left with a full head of kinky twist with extra length. what place do you know that will finish a full head of twist in 4 hours? There were free snacks that were available to customers and the environment was very family style. The prices are more than your Instagram-​do your hair at home stylists but it is definitely more than worth it. I can’t wait to go back for my retouch. The ladies are all very talented. I still can’t get over how she was done in less than 8 hours? My appointment was originally set for Saturday but she called me and asked if I wanted to come in early on that Friday. I told her that I didn’t get off work until after 12 and she said I can come at 3 or 2:30. I’m very grateful for that. This is a very professional establishment and the ladies here are all top notch. I’m very pleased with my hair.

I finally got braids my way! They provided not only fast but friendly service great environment. I will definitely be going back.

If I could give them a zero, I would. In retrospect, I now understand why they collect their fees before they touch your hair. First, this place is very unprofessional (I think this was stated by another past post and I should have taken caution). The braiders talk about all of their clients right in front of other clients. Secondly, they change they prices after you get there so don’t bother getting a quote. Prior to arriving I sent a picture of a specfic style which Erica stated they could do. Upon arriving, Erica asked for the size desired and yet I stated the same as the picture. Erica stated it would be $ 50 more since I wanted them small. This was my warning to walk out. Nevertheless, I did not take heed. After having to remind Ms. Erica of the text that reviewed everything including price and the owner «having a long talk with Erica» outside the door; she honored the oringinal quoted price. To conclude, Erica ended up doing something completely different but yet the price didn’t change. (I found it very convenient). There were other issues that would pose problems: very small and limited parking (rough neighborhood so be cautious), ambiance is poor… no entertainment (tv, radio) except gossiping braiders. I could go and on but to disquised at myself for wasting money. Next time, I am taking heed to these reviews.

Had the most pleasurable service getting my hair braided today by Miss. Kim. My first time getting my hair braided by Kim. I received my confirmation call on Monday and arrived on time, Kim on time and walked out with my braids looking fabulous. Thank you and I will be back!

My hair was braided by Necole and I was able to observe the work of Kim, and Erica. ALL of the ladies have blessed hands and can braid VERY WELL! Aside from the fact that I greased my scalp prior to coming in and the owner charged an additional $ 25 to wash it… other than that the price was fair and well worth it.

I almost never wear my hair in braids but I got some done last weekend and they didn’t last. I found Braids Your Way through a referral from a friend and I’m so glad I found this gem! Erica is amazing and the rest of the staff are spunky and fun. These ladies are knowledgeable and take their craft seriously. Was out of the shop in two hours (including consultation). It was my first time going to Braids my way. I made an appointment last minute and got my hair done that morning with no hesitation. Nicole is excellent. My she went above and beyond what I expected. When you visit the shop or call for an appointment. Ask for Nicole. The shop atmosphere was great. One big happy family. I felt welcome. Twists did not last long and pulled my hair. Stylist did not even attempt to preserve my edges. I won’t be going back.

I’m a new customer to Braids Your Way. I had the pleasure of having my medium sized extra long individual braids done by the owner. I’m very pleased with her work, this establishment is very professional and the atmosphere is comfortable. I will definitely go back to have my braids touched up by the owner. A very satisfied customer indeed.

This was my first time going to Braids Your Way, and these ladies are so much fun.
Besides that, I’m a natural and havent done any heat styling in the last 2 years. They straightened AND gave me a good trim. Sounds like nbd but I’ll attach photos so you guys can understand my amazement.

I had a good experience at Braids Your Way. The person that braided my hair was professional and fast. Took 6 hours total for my twisted look.

Loving my extra small twist by Kim. This is my go to shop. This is my favorite braiding place. So good and professional. They are quick too, it only took about 5 hours.

My hair experience at Braids your way went more then perfect. I had the pleasure of getting a full weave by the beautican Mareatha. Let me start me saying the service was amazing, when i walked in i was greeted by smiles and positive atmosphere. The Beauticans were all at work, braiding, doing dreads, wash and press and everything looked great you can tell they take pride in what they do. Now back to my hair :) it gave me life lol its flawless i left feeling like a new person. My hair flows the braids under my weave aren’t noticed able at all, best but not least it didn’t hurt. Im tender headed but you would’ve never known. I love this shop since they got new mangenment before it was awfully.

Great Job as usual… Take down wash and new style… 8 hours and looks great! These ladies are worth every dime… I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and my hair always looks great. I work in Sacramento now and still come back home every 6 weeks to get my braids done… Yes Seriously… All the ladies are great and so is Braids your way… Thanjd for another fabulous style.

This shop has what you are looking for. I have been coming here for almost 2 years now and have never had bad work done. Every braider is quick and respectful of your hair.
There is always availability for appointments and they are always ready when you come in.
The work is clean and professional and lasts long! They do various styles, natural hair/​extensions– cornrows, individuals, twists, takedowns, weaves and more ! It’s expensive but I’ve yet to find good shops that do such good work so it’s worth it!
I always get the Senegalese twists and they do a beautiful job each time.
Lashonnah did my hair in the picture I posted. I do recommend her if you call just ask and she’s usually there. Very sweet, skilled and professional.
They’re a hard working shop and I guarantee that you will not end up disappointed.
