Established in 1983.

Established in 1983 Bruffy’s, Inc. — dba Bruffy’s Del Rey Tow — was newly incorporated in August 1983. Bruffy’s has continuously operated as an Official Police Garage of the City and County of Los Angeles since its inception. Official Police Garages are highly regulated by state and local governments and must operate within strict parameters to retain their license with the City. Bruffy’s strives to operate in a manner which reflects positively upon law enforcement and support our community. Bruffy’s has been acknowledged for contributing to the community at large on numerous occasions. We look forward to serving you.

These guys are the worst. They force you to come to this location to pay and another in Glencoe/​Culver City to pick up your car. They give you no explanation on how you can contest the egregious fines they charge, and they also scuff up the car quite a bit. When you’re stuck dealing with these guys, you’re basically screwed.

terrible and immoral… they «just don’t» have a cashier at their Marina Del Rey location so if you are forced to travel across the city just to pay then travel back to the Marina location.

Absurd!
Our car was towed away during the weekend in Marina del rey where their main lot is, and that’s where they towed it to, however it is not where you pay and release it! We had to über to some industrial area in L. A 20 min away JUST TO PAY (since they «don’t receive payment over the phone» seriously? !? it’s the 21st century (!)) and then BACK to Marina del rey to their main lot to get out vehicle! To top that there was no one on site! Apparently they employ only one guy over the weekend who does towing and releases! So we had to wait an hour until he got there! Give people a break would ya?

Horrible company. First they don’t tell you they towed your vehicle, second when you show up to pay they make you drive another 15 miles away to process the payment, then when you drive back to pick up the car they make you wait forever. Multiple CFPB violations, am reporting to FCC, CFPB, and BBB.

There’s a reason why they get this review and the numerous other one-​star reviews. These business owners must be so proud of themselves.
The car was towed to one parking lot but we had to drive to another location first to pay $ 274.
There, my girlfriend met a lovely man named Pablo who flirted with her, asking, «Why do you look so angry?» She responded, «Because you towed my car and I just had to pay you $ 274.» He said she owed him lunch because she yelled at him when she called (she was obviously angry) and then, he saw her cross tattoo on her right wrist and said, «I like your right side better.»

After car was stolen. A week later got a call that this tow company picked it up. Was charged for overnight fee as I was in Oceanside & couldn’t get up to Los Angeles until Monday. We called @ 12:30 to tell them we were in some traffic & we would be there a few minutes after 1 & we didn’t want to be charged more & the operator said ok. We walked in @ 1:04 & the Owner was the rudest, most arrogant, stubborn jerk & had no mercy! He charged for another day of storage! For 4minutes! As if your car getting towed isn’t bad enough:(

I am a student at LMU and I was really mad with campus public safety for having my car towed. They sent me to Bruffy’s expecting the typical tow yard where you feel like you’re going to get screwed but it actually wasn’t bad! The guys were all nice and straight to the point with me. At first I was pretty mad but they really made my day considering what happened. Can’t thank them enough.
