Bryan College

By far the biggest scam! I attended this school in 2009 for less than a month, was told I would not be charged anything and here I am 8 years later receiving mail and calls that I owe 5k for less than a month of classes. Anyone know an attorney for this? HELP!!! DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!

Every bad review is on point with the details of what makes this «University» a waste of time and money. The financial department is beyond disorganized. If you apply for loans and then quit in the middle of the process, they will draw funds from your loan whenever they can siting they can. In esences, they use the ability to take the FASFA money and then you are stuck having to pay off the loan even though you don’t owe it. I have been trying to make sense to the finance rep but, it is her stance that the money is owed. It is based on some basis rule they have being if you are 60 percent through the school year you owe all entire year. Even though there where several days that class was cancelled or I was removed from the class & testing because, I was told I wasn’t at the rest of the classes level. Eventually, I went to another credited school that runs far more organized with an opportunity and plan to «catch up» instead of removing you from the class to promote you getting more behind. This place is a calculated farce for failure. Don’t believe everything they say at the open house~

If I can give this place less than one star I would. And gladly. They just don’t deserve the credit.
I started Bryan in 2010 for the court reporting program, with the impression that I will be graduating in 2 years, just like they’ve told everyone else, only to find out that only if you’re some sort of genius it’s possible. However, that wasn’t the case in my experience. They purposely hold you back to collect their monthly tuition from you and come up with the dumbest regulations just to hold you back only to lengthen your stay in school. Oh, and did I mention they automatically sign you up for loans even when you state it clearly you don’t want loans? Yeah, and it’s not an affordable school so imagine how high your debts will increase.
This school is so unorganized and has no idea what they’re doing. They pulled me out of class one day with a pink colored post it note with an amount written on it telling me I owe them money. Hello, Where is my statement??? So unprofessional. Funny part is, I had already paid that amount a year prior for a rental machine. Any excuse to get some money, right?
Biggest scam of a school. If you want to actually feel accomplished, turn away from this school, unless of course, you’re some sort of genius or like being scammed.
Biggest regret, coming here. Best choice I’ve made, go to Downey adult school, even though it’s a farther drive. It’s worth it.

I don’t even want to give one star. It is very unfortunate that a school once known as «the Harvard of court reporting schools» ended up a disaster. New administration came in. Amazing teachers and staff were let go. The school became all about the money, and the tuition got higher while the quality of education and classes got lower. I ended up transferring to Downey. The campus is not as nice, but the education and classes are great. Do not waste your money here. They do not truly care about the students. I hear they are in the process of becoming online only due to so many students transferring, so save yourself the trouble and time of ever enrolling at Bryan!

I tried really hard to love this school. I stayed with it for a year. But after a teacher ditched us before finals and the school didn’t replace her (or even let us know she had left) and left us abandoned, I was skeptical. Then, the mass emails telling everyone that they had failed and were on Academic Warning before the classes were even over made me angry. Then I found a school for $ 10k LESS a year, with a better approval rate at the same accreditation.
The teachers are amazing. It’s the administration that is ridiculous. I would never suggest this school to anyone.

The teachers are fantastic. The administrators are beyond incompetent. I have never experienced such baboonery in my life. Yes, baboons. Don’t fall for the «Harvard of Court Reporting Schools» bullshit. It used to be. Save your money. RUN!!! The beginning of the term is always chaotic. Administration does NOT listen to students. Tuition is high, admin support does not exist. The teachers, as I’ve said are wonderful and know their stuff! The only reason I am still here is there is no other school close to my home.

I am a graduate and working reporter from Bryan. I finished up about two years ago. The teachers were amazing. The «campus» was very clean and useful. Many people couldn’t handle or afford the school, but the ones who got out are some of the best reporters in the country. I have since heard things have drastically changed. Many of the best teachers in the reporting field have been cut. This is tough news. I still drop by the campus, and from what I can tell, it looks nice. I just hope they can replace the masterful teachers that they lost. I wish everyone the best of luck. My experience with Bryan was top notch.

When that «It’s not you, it’s me» moment comes in your relationship, don’t kid yourself. You know it’s them. They know it’s them. You might as well have just admitted,” It’s not me, it’s you.” That’s the truth of it. Breaking up is hard to do, but it’s a whole lot easier that staying in a bad relationship.
Tuition too high, the director of the Court Reporting Program is the Manchurian Candidate, and some of the teachers should stick to court reporting or S&M.
In this case, the going’s better than the coming.
