Budget Truck Rental

the truck wasnt fancy, the office isnt fancy. hell, its under a freeway, next to a recycling center. things do seem a lil shady here but i booked thru the website, and called to move the reservation with no problem. it wasnt a budget van as advertised, just a plain white cargo van. old, rattles like the dickens. got me to long beach and back without blowing up. moved what i needed n dumped it off. when i returned it, signed everything n got outta there, i realized they charged me a $ 200 deposit, not the $ 150 advertised on the website. hope I get that money back real quick as i kinda need it! would have been nice to know i was being charged extra, even if i get it back.

Please beware!!! I was from out of state looking at a truck on the internet. They had requested to have a deposit from me. I drove from out of state to LA. The truck was not drivable so a sale did not go through. I have been calling and checking with my bank everyday for the refund that they said would be issued. I am getting a run around longer than the New York Marathon!

Initially, they would have gotten better reviews, had I not rented from them the second time around.
First time, I found them online, called them about the Budget Truck rental and they gave me a good rate. If you want a better rate, book online ahead of time. So the boyfriend and I got there, got the truck and went on with our business. What really didn’t hit me til afterwards was the fact was not a budget truck, but a regular white truck. I didn’t think it mattered, since it was the first time that we rented from them. After, renting it and paying for the bill, they gave us a budget coupon to use afterwards.
So the second time we rented, which was the most a month later, we went to rent the same truck. After we returned it again, we gave them the coupon and they said they don’t accept the coupon if the transaction has been rung up in the system. I was livid. Then, to make matters worst, the truck was more expensive than the first time we rented it. They are con artists.
So when I called Budget corporation to complain, they said they never found my name in the system, that they must have rented us their own private trucks. Unless it has the actual budget logo on it, then it would be a different story. I’m never renting from them ever. Yes, I’ll definitely spread the word.
I’ve had way better experiences with Enterprise.
