Very few locksmiths that rank high, but this may be the WORST place in Los Angeles. Unprofessional would be too kind. Ugly, mean-​spirited and service that is below atrocious. Someone claiming to be the owner (George) has the demeanor and charm of a small-​town cop below the Mason-​Dixon line. Shocked these folks are still in business. You’d be better off breaking a window to get in your place.

These guys are the nicest people. Dennis is the owner and he is super helpful. He is thorough and asks you to send a picture of the work so that whoever he sends knows exactly what to bring. Ben is an expert at what he does and offers you a bunch of options when he is doing the job. These guys fixed my lock so quickly and helped clean up the mess someone else created for me. Thanks!!!

Just saw Bundy’s Lock n Key driver in van driving on Sawtelle and Santa Monica and he almost ran over a young girl and gentleman in the crosswalk. When I gave him a look he flipped me off like I did something wrong. I would never use this company with employees like him. He is representing the company and should be reminded of this.

I have been coming here for custom keys for an apartment complex that I manage since they did the main front door lock. Every time my tenant misplace or breaks a key, I have to come here and get a replacement since this ia the only vendor that receives the blank keys. Service is always slow since this place is mom and pop style vendor. I like it since they do custom work but they need to keep up with technology and get a computer for their customer data base. Workers are really slow and they dont care if you are in a hurry or not. Major attitude from all the employees, every time I come. If it wasnt for the safety measures and costing over thousands of dollars to change it out, I would have done it in a heart beat.

These guys have been the preferred locksmiths of our condo building in Brentwood for awhile. They’ve done complete re locking of the building when needed, installed a new garage gate key mechanism, and duplicated many keys. All reasonably priced and reliable. But what moved me to post this review was that I was having trouble with the lock to my own unit, the key way sticking. I called assuming thy would need to make a costly house call. But the very nice gentleman I spoke with on the phone diagnosed the problem based on my description and have me a two step do it myself process to try to fix it, suggesting I only call back to have them come over if neither solution worked. Well his first suggestion took me 30 seconds and resolved the problem and saved me $ 70+ in a house call. To me, that is the ultimate in service. They could have easily just gone ahead, booked the appointment, spent 30 seconds fixing the problem and charged me for a full visit… there are folks that do that. But not Bundy. I appreciate that honesty in business — 5 stars!

These guys are awesome. I called them to fix the lock on my front door. Ben showed up on time, he was very knowledgable and helpful. He was able to repair my lock so I didn’t have to replace anything. Now my door shuts properly, and I don’t have to play with my key to get it to work. They charge by the hour, but he was quick, so I didn’t end up having to pay too much. I highly recommend them.

I needed to have keys recut on a house I just bought. I called Bundy Lock and Safe, got a fair quote on the phone, and was able to schedule someone to come in right when I wanted.
Ben, the technician, was very knowledgeable and professional. He had everything he needed in his car. We had four different doors to have keys recut (each one with 1 – 2 cylinders), he changed one lock to only lock from the inside (since it faced a balcony), and fixed a few other issues with our garage door lock. All in for 5 keys of each plus all the labor was $ 180.
I would use these guys again and recommend them.

I went in here to get couple of copies of house keys made. One of the keys I wanted to get copied was a special security key that Bundy’s couldn’t cut for me. Person helping me out kindly explained the situation and referred me to another shop that could probably help me out. I appreciated the patient explanation as there was a line of customers waiting. Another set of keys I needed copied were standard and those were done in no time.
I didn’t come here for fancy service so can’t say much about that, but they were courteous, helpful and got the job done. I could not expect anything more.

Real professionals who do nothing, but keys and locks. Great service, technically competent, and a dup of my unique key cost only $ 3.00 (+tax.)
Like other Unilocalers commented, the time to make a dup was less than 30 seconds.
Recommend drive up the back alley and park in the rear parking as the street parking is limited.
My house key type is a bit unique. In West LA, Bundy’s is the only place I could make a duplicate. Those cheap, quick places in town could not even order the blanks for me.

Great place to get keys made. Fast, friendly service. Small parking lot in the back of the store off the alley.

I like these guys — old fashioned — in a good way. They are pleasant, efficient, well priced and professional. And don’t take themselves too seriously

Great place! Everyone is very friendly. They were the only shop that I found that could make a copy of my key. Great free pens too!
Just be very careful to read the street signs — there’s street cleaning on Friday. There is some parking reserved for the store in the back though.

RUDE! avoid this place. the old guy who runs this place is a condescending, patronizing jerk. there are so many locksmiths in the area, there is no reason to give them your hard earned money to be treated so poorly. on the corner of santa monica blvd. and sawtelle is a little key kiosk with super nice service. try them first.

The pro who helped me said he’s been a locksmith for 30 years. He picked a lock that I didn’t have a key to (expected but still impressive), plus routed out a deadbolt lock that was sticking to make it operate properly just because he is a helpful guy.
I’ll use them in the future if I continue to deal with friendly professionals there.

I stopped by here for the first time last week, and spent only one minute between parking my car on the street and walking back to it, because getting a copy of my apartment key took only 10 seconds. Yes, 10 seconds! I walked in, feeling a bit lost as I always do when entering a hardware-​type store, and was immediately greeted. The whole transaction occurred before I could even think of the next item on my to-​do list. An ordinary key copy costs $ 2.20 plus tax, which is about the average price in the area.
I will be returning here for future key transactions. Yay for time-​savers!

I don’t think I’ve ever walked out of a Home Depot or Lowe’s completely satisfied with replacement keys. Either the copy comes out wrong, or they don’t have the right key blank for my request, or their machine is down, or the making duplicates isn’t something that the paint guy does, some other issue. This time, a botched key from OSH reminded me that I should be giving my business to local locksmiths.
I needed a spare set of keys, including one really weird mail key, and I was in and out of this place in about 3 minutes. In addition to the myriad of keys, they also had a good selection of pad & combination locks and I was able to pick up a replacement for a rusty padlock for under $ 10. Fast, friendly, and had exactly what I needed!
$ 10 minimum for credit card transactions!

I had some keys made here today and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service. The keys all work perfectly and were about $ 5 a pop. They have a good selection of keys so if you want something unique this is a good place to go.
