Kristen S.

Business Owner

Kristen draws inspiration from her illustrations, travels, and experiences living in NYC and Los Angeles. While living in NYC she studied under April Barton at the Chelsea Hotel’s Suite 303, mastering the craft of cutting men’s and women’s hair. With a strong belief in e.e. cummings statement, «To destroy is always the first step in any creation,» Kristen breaks down the components to a long lasting haircut along with making each snip and slice unlike any before.

In June 2013, Kristen opened Cabin 207, a 3 chair hair salon and bookstore located in Downtown LA in the Old Bank District. She also works at Suite 303 at 7 Bond Street in NYC.

Joseph Mandelbaum curates the book selection in the shop.

Stylists Whitney Thomas, Naomi Knights, Dana Duffy and Courtney Dolin all work their magic inside Cabin 207 with haircuts and hair color.
